Now, whatever you think is happening in Gaza now, whether it counts as genocide or not, I think we can both agree that Gaza wasn't being genocided before the current war started on October 7th (by Hamas btw). At least, that's was what I was saying. Gaza (before oct 7th), while not a nice place to live, was not the warsaw ghetto. Gazans are actually better off in quality of life statistics (life expectancy, etc) than half the world's population. Offered a room to a homeless guy it turned out we are cusins and his ancectors used to live on the land befor they went and things got terible there,so i treated him like family. Negotiating on how much of my house I can give away while maintaining 'neighborly love' is tricky. Invading and expelling aren't exactly peace talks. The neighborhood initially stood with me, but the homeless guy has the biggest bully backing him and they got scared.
Now, I'm in the dog house suroundd by concertina wires and drinking from the garden hoes that he turn out sometimes if i cried to loud, throwing rocks back at him-breaking my own windows. He's RPG-ing me and planning to turn my dog house into a parking lot for his relatives.

DAM HAS BROKEN For decades even implying that Israel is acting towards Palestinians in the same way NAZIs acted towards Jews was a taboo, despite the glaring parallels in rhetoric of racial purity and national character, etc. Time are changing. My Grandmother fought in Warsaw Uprising and was sent to Treblinka concentration camp but survived to tell the tale. When I first started looking into Gaza, separation wall, total blockade my first thought was "that works just like Warsaw ghetto, so why no one is calling Gaza a ghetto?" Instead I saw people were intentionally avoiding the comparison and inventing new words like "open air prison." This international guilt about Holocaust became a shield Israel weaponized to commit acts of ethnic cleansing against Palestinians, and now a genocide. Calling the thing a thing has power. Gaza is a Palestinian Ghetto. Israel is putting Palestinians in ghettos not just in Gaza but little ghettos in Jerusalem and in West Bank. History tells us what comes next but we can still stop it. If Israeli Jews meant "Never Again," and not "Never Again (unless we are the ones doing it)", now is the time to stand up and be counted.

Im from germany, and i am sad to say that a lot of people here dont speak english. German media is doing a terrible job at educating the people about this topic in my opinion, while there are so many voices in other languages that should be heard by everyone.

Part of the reason for that is that lots of people in germany have never been told the palestinian perspective, but will know everything about the most evil things hamas has ever commited (and usually only the most exaggerated versions of those, i know people who still believe the 40 beheaded babies story).

1. The Jews in the Ghettos didn't receive foreign aid.
2. The Uprising fought Nazi miliary, not civilians.
3. The Jewish Ghetto did not have the option for a political solution which they rejected.
4. There is some parallel between the collaborators and Hamas, but the uprising fought against the collaborators.
5. The Jews never had a charter that included "Kill all Germans" like Hamas has a charter "Kill all Jews".
I could go on.
And yes, I do wish for a Free Palestine, for Jews and Palestinians alike. But false equivalencies is not a way to get there.

@kingvelard hold on, this video I assume was an attempt at justifying October 7th by saying that it was an act of heroic resistance similar to the warsaw Ghetto. Now, whatever you think is happening in Gaza now, whether it counts as genocide or not, I think we can both agree that Gaza wasn't being genocided before the current war started on October 7th (by Hamas btw). At least, that's was what I was saying. Gaza (before oct 7th), while not a nice place to live, was not the warsaw ghetto. By the time the warsaw ghetto uprising started, literally the majority of the people had either starved to death or had been sent to treblinka. Not the case for Gaza on October 6th (or even now). Gazans are actually better off in quality of life statistics (life expectancy, etc) than half the world's population. So, while living in Gaza may be worse than living in other states in the region (Qatar, Jordan, UAE), it's definitely better than living in Somalia or South Sudan.
I actually don't agree with the way Israel is carrying the war. I'm not impuning you for making analogies in order to draw attention to Israeli war crimes. But the only reason you would ever make that specific comparison is if you were trying to justify the massacres on October 7th.
