Thanks @LaLaRC! I've watched a lot of your videos and I did consider using a 3.7V Lipo for the electric version. At 1/35 scale, there's plenty of room inside the torpedo for a timer circuit as well ;)
I would like to try with supercapacitors one day, they're a bit too expensive to obtain locally but if this rubber band design doesn't work, then electric torpedoes would be my go-to solution!
