Gabriella Yah, also my favorite band since I first stumbled on this video around a month ago. Black Pumas will be in Denver in October, and I will be there amongst “my favorite colors”! You all make a gorgeous soul sound that sends me back to a beautiful pure time of music from my childhood, and later, first live jazz shows in Baltimore, and on into this presently rich time of influences. Yes, it makes me feel happy too. The first I heard of the Black Pumas was Oct 33 and I loved it, then it took me some time to like this one as much but it sort of grows on you, I've come to love it too. That's why I'm listening to them on Friday evening, after a long and complicated week at work, and I don't feel tired or stressed anymore.

When I think about the times when my father had to help members of the Black Panthers in France, and even took the risk to hire one who was researched by the police all over America and Europe... now we have a band called Black Pumas (!!!) singing about all their "favorite colors"....
