These episodes of Brookside, old as they may be, are still more interesting and entertaining than most stuff on T.V nowadays. I know I sound like an old man saying it, but I’m sure some of the rest of you would agree with me.
@@misternobodywhatsoever4752 I'm also with you this and TTHR(Take the High Road)are miles more entertaining than most of the shows on TV nowadays, neither Brookie or TTHR were scared of controversial storylines while being highly watchable and entertaining.
Ron must really like Jackie. He never went to this effort or expense when he was trying to bonk Bev. No romantic walks along the Blackpool seafront or candy floss for Miss McLaughlin! A bag of Everton mints, a brew and a sleazy chat up line for her.
Getting rid of Bev really accelerated the decline. She was one of the most popular and prominent characters and they never really found a decent replacement while she was gone. Was she axed or did the actress leave?
think she had a baby in real life, she came back a bit later when she inherited money from a lady she was cleaning for and bought the bar, left again a bit later on around 2001 or so when Leanne fleeced her and she was definitely pregnant then
Designated War Zone (29th October 1996) Illuminations (30th October 1996) Roses (1st November 1996) Mission Statements (5th November 1996) Making Matters Worse (6th November 1996)
So I’m guessing Bev’s campaign against Max and speeding in the Close is finished now? Those women out with their signs just ended up wasting their time.
So Tinhead was kept behind two years at school? Yet he left anyway as soon as we was 16? Then again, Matthew and Gemma both started secondary school when they were ten. And Adele Murray was so clever she skipped Year 11 😂
Ollie doesn’t seem to grasp the dynamics of this situation. Max and Susannah were hardly likely to spoil Nat and Jules wedding day, not with the free champagne and Vol-au-vent reception buffet. J.C sweated blood to pay for that. As Jimmy would say: “eh aye aye kids, fill yer boots with the free scran!” Shame he wasn’t invited.
Should have had jimmy befriend JC and him and his Jackie get an invite “Aye aye kid this is living eh? Look at these vol au wotsits eh? Get your gums round this girl, eh, alright maxie lad” Max “for gods sake what’s he doing here!?”
If you were max and susannah… would you want to tell Ollie and belle there’s kids have been at it… get a grip they didn’t say anything coz it’s plain sick! 🤮
No no Jimmy, you’ve got Ollie and Bel all wrong there kid. No dressing up, just an incestuous relationship between two’s for their children and festering resentment over Bel’s recent extramarital affair. Fairly tame stuff for the Close.
That meeting was all a bit too informal. Bing can’t have been impressed with the sloppy, lax approach. For starters, the Parade business owners committee didn’t have a Chair, Secretary or Treasurer. The committee didn’t even have a name, newsletter/bulletin or a formal meeting place. Holding a meeting in the Pizza Parade wasn’t ideal, e.g. not enough seating space.

The effrontery of the woman 😂
That alleyway between the Close and the Parade is an obvious safety risk. Better to just go the long way around.
That thumbnail of Jackie Corkhill smiling. A happy looking Jackie Corkhill. That’s a rarity in itself!
Id of been miserable if I had her life tbf
Have any of these episodes been edited?

I guess Everton mints are just one of the ways to a woman’s heart. Take Julia Brogan. She’s always sucking on one.
He did like her, but he was heartbroken when she said she was going back to her husband months later
A plate of scouse and a can of pop for £2 - a bargain!
Who made the scouse “jooooolioh broooogun laaaaa”

Yer wot?
She was so annoying. Tbf she was a little less annoying in her second stint when she was focused on Josh, but still, annoying hag of a character
she left
@@casanovamacbeth Any idea why she left? I always wonder the same thing when a character leaves. Was it their decision or the writers decision?

The dying days of 'La Luz'.

Jules definitely got her dad bad side
Yet she's so 'good' it's annoying

Ron and Jackie walk along the beach and it’s sunny, blue skies. Within a second the sky turns grey and cloudy 🤔

Why are they up in arms about the tunnel? There’s a pavement next to La Luz.

Jacqui’s really becoming smug.
Quite a cow at times
She's always been a horrible character. Attractive but a horrible person

I actually think jules is a better actor than Georgia and Nat. Its her voice that just lets her down.
Not sure why Little Jimmy is at this meeting?
Terry was more likeable when he was in that weird cult.
Can’t stand little Jimmy
