@@Thewritingelf well its called "Waxworks: Curse of the Ancestors" and it doesn't look promising right now cuz they removed the still images of the characters death (probably cuz it just wouldn't fit well in a game made using the unreal 4 engine). thanks Killerrate that brought back memories of when me and my brother use to play this game as teenagers. This is for me the scarest game ever, the music and difficult game play combined with horrible death scenes make for a brilliant game. It may be dated but i cannot bare to put the game on even now and play it in the dark alone as a adult.
Out of the four worlds you start with, who would have guessed that the one with freakin' Jack the Ripper would be the tamest? I mean you have a Pyramid maze with sadistic traps, flesheating zombies with a sorcerer capable of reducing you to a lifeless husk, and a cult of plant people that will not look out of place in a Lovecraft novel.
The music for the Egyption ones (for me) is music where you can listen to it during the day and you are fine. You'll then forget about it but when you go to bed you remember it and it creeps you out
Frankly the old dos music makes it much more terrifying in my opinion. Feels like a horror movie from the 80s where the soundtrack was this electronic drone.
The plot could have benefitted from a few small fixes, but is otherwise pretty solid. The music is as great as it could be for a game on the Amiga and DOS. The gameplay is a standard point-and-click action game; nothing more to say there. But the death screens... I have nothing to say to them, except for a classic AVGN quote... *_WHAT WERE THEY THINKING!?_*

The one with the ghost in the coffin was actually pretty cool. The one with the acid gas in the mines was probably one of the least bloody but one of the creepiest in my opinion. The one with the pillar in the Egyptian tomb was pretty funny, I’m not going to lie.
That snakes are funny
13 years later, and apparently we're getting a remake of this game I hope to God they do the death scenes Justice and be faithful. Those are probably the most memorable part.
I'm glad I'm not the only person watching this in 2021
@@degenerate2281 Well it’s not looking too promising as of right now 🙁
@@mz58950 I didn't even know a sequel was even happening ? Wtf LOL. What's going on though ? Like why doesn't it look promising?
I'm sorry, chief..
@@Thewritingelf well its called "Waxworks: Curse of the Ancestors" and it doesn't look promising right now cuz they removed the still images of the characters death (probably cuz it just wouldn't fit well in a game made using the unreal 4 engine). There are also lotsa bugs that can make this game quite frustrating. I personally don't mind the deaths not returning, but many others do, so....
Finally, a new wallpaper!
What?
130th like
Yeah my favorite is the zombie one
Need source to your pfp
Just learned this and while it's the same animation already shown, if you walk out onto the final dock in London and just stand there without moving it will say Jack sneaked up on you and slit your throat!
I re-watched this video just now, and it's incredible how the deaths are in incredible, grisly details. I mean, at 4:10 you can even see the broken spine through the guy's ripped throat. Disturbing...
Oh god 😢
Two things. First off, I though it’d be worse.
And two, raise your hand if you’re here because of whoisthisgit’s 42nd episode of creepy bad endings.
McAwesomeKid 1324 oh I am.
McAwesomeKid 1324 Da Git is legit
I agree with number 1 and yes i am here cuz of whoisthisgit
I stumbled across this video before seeing the episode... and I REALLY wished I got the warning before I saw this video
Me: *Raises hand*
Cat videos on standby...

+Vector710 Lol
To make you feel better? I dig it.
Don't forget the puppies!
Positively gruesome, both a great incentive to avoid dying and a incentive to die on purpose. Good job game makers.
this game scared me as a kid as it was the first violent game i had ever played
This makes "Saw" look like a Disney film.
This game deserves a remake!!
THAT WOULD BE HORRIFYING
Vinicius Moura
now THAT would be gory.
honestly it could rival the entire Mortal Kombat series.
@Hand Hanzo juast scream through the game all he does is die
Funny you should ask. Waxworks: Curse of the Ancestors exists now.
Vinicius Moura out of all the commenters here,I’m probably the only one who’s actually on board with that idea
it's impressive how brutal this games game over screens were at the time
I love how, in the cobra egyptian death, one of the snake is so darn happy. He's literally :D
Something about the music makes this even more unsettling
These are scary, not because some of them are graphic, but because I was apparently playing as a bald guy while in the Egyptian tombs
Who is this git was right
yep, he was
fuck it i had to mates.
Well, it wasn't THAT scary to me after all. Pretty gruesome but not enough against "mindless beast Jennifer" from Splatterhouse 3.
yurov94 Same as you, but it was gruesome though. Gonna search right now "mindless beast Jennifer" . (I was supposed to edit the comment after I searched the image but anyways...) Wow, I think it's not that scary but still. Imo the part where she is becoming the mindless beast is even scarier (the one where it says that you didn't save her in time)
Phew, Git was slightly exagerrating. Zombie death is nothing special. Now, mines, on the other hand...
6:02 holy crap I just realized, your guy in that one is wearing a priest frock.
I know the vine one is the most graphic cause you actually see it happen, but they REALLY went over the top with the zombie death! Awesome
Can't get the snake death seriously... Why is it smiling like that? XD
Exorian because it just killed you.
@@critarc the most right snake is smiling too

Ouch. And i thought i was used to gore already.
What were they on when they made the mine?
Is a Evil twin that become a beast
God...
people weren't exaggeratin'...
HOLY DAMN THIS IS BRUTALLY DARK!
Yup. The git is not kidding when he said that he won’t show the deaths of this game.
For some reason I think the deaths in the mine are the most disgusting, with the plants and mutants and all that. Like in 6:56... ewww! What the hell happens there??? O_o
Puberty acne hit somewhat late.
It's a terrible rash I'm pretty sure
For what I'm guessing infected puss.
From the looks of it, the plant infection caused eyes to start growing from the inside of his body on both the side of his head and front of his neck. Yuck
Probably a virus on the tongue. It depends, especially considering the creature doesn’t exist
I bet the mine twin really did not want to go into work that day...
this level of gore and the details is pretty amazing
WORST DEATHS 1-10
1: Graveyard Zombie
2: Mine Plant Tentacles
3: Mine Plant Spikes
4: Mine Humanoid-Plant Tongue
5: Mine Humanoid-Plant Pus
6: Mine Humanoid-Plant Slashes
7: Mine Toxic Fumes
8: London Slashed Thoat
9: London Hanging
10: Egypt Decapitation
1:48 this has a nice jam
I heard this game had gruesome death scenes but so far it's not that--

So I Accidentally Clicked On This Video when I was Like 10 Years old Because it popped up in my recommended And I thought hey this isn’t gonna be too bad because I like watching horror movies and when I saw the deaths And I had nightmares and I vowed myself to never watch this game again but here I am 6 years later watching it
TH-cam did you dirty
i love the fucking sarcastic "Play again?" everytime
zombie: scratches four times
(gets fucking brutally mutilated)
In four scratches bro hit a full mk fatality
Man, all those horrible and gory deaths are happening to that bald egyptian guy, but his face looks pretty peaceful...
the zombie death screen looks like the aftermath of a cartel execution, it's terrifying
edit: 4:04
7:48, Damn, the screen that showed the guy dying of suffocation creeped me out.
Ah, the many deaths of D: Guy...
The mines have the worst ways to die, holy shit.
thanks Killerrate that brought back memories of when me and my brother use to play this game as teenagers. This is for me the scarest game ever, the music and difficult game play combined with horrible death scenes make for a brilliant game. It may be dated but i cannot bare to put the game on even now and play it in the dark alone as a adult.
Something about the graphics from early horror point and click games that still spook me pretty hard
Tbh, while the zombie death is unsettling, the death by the plant dudes look worse imo
This Game makes Mortal Kombat look like Animal Crossing
Found the soundtrack to my own personal hell. If I played this at my funeral my guests would die with me.
Out of the four worlds you start with, who would have guessed that the one with freakin' Jack the Ripper would be the tamest?
I mean you have a Pyramid maze with sadistic traps, flesheating zombies with a sorcerer capable of reducing you to a lifeless husk, and a cult of plant people that will not look out of place in a Lovecraft novel.
death scenes are disturbing but music is awful lol
rww yeah is like it made like a grim reaper
The music for the Egyption ones (for me) is music where you can listen to it during the day and you are fine. You'll then forget about it but when you go to bed you remember it and it creeps you out
Listen to the Amiga version
Frankly the old dos music makes it much more terrifying in my opinion. Feels like a horror movie from the 80s where the soundtrack was this electronic drone.
No why do you think that
How!? How could I miss playing this gem during my childhood!? I would've loved it! (And I would have not slept for a month... but still!)
2:26 That snake on the right looks so happy and adorable.
The bizarrest ways of death! So graphic!
7:33 Ooh, nasty.
Ick!
The only animated one
Am I the only person who thinks old games with bad graphics are way creepier than new realistic games?
Yes
No i think the same
