@@FactoryFreshChannel You do nice clean work and your vids are very well done too! Really enjoy watching them, hope you start making more videos. I know they take a lot of work but I think you have a talent/channel that could really take off in the near future.
Beautiful build! How precise did you have to be with splicing in the pieces of Vic firewall, or could you explain how you figured out how to place them?
The HVAC portion didn't have to be precise, really just test fit where you want everything to hang under the dash. As for the brake booster/master that dictated where the brake peddle would be located in the cab. But overall not too difficult.
Do you do all of this in a 2 car garage? You're my hero. I'm building a 62 Falcon for drag n drive stuff in my 2 car garage. I spend almost as much time cleaning the garage as working to keep the wife happy about not tracking welding/grinding/sanding dust in.
We’ll technically it’s a three car garage haha. Yeah I feel your pain, my wife has never parked her car in the garage since we’ve owned the house, she likes to remind me of that often. I love those year Falcons, I’d like to have one some day. Good luck with the build!!
Nicely done Man! I see you left the trim off, looks clean. I’ve spent hours and hours straightening the trim on my bump side.I could use those tail light bezels and tailgate trim for my 71.
In the middle of this same swap on a 72 f250. I’m really mimicking what you’ve done looks fantastic. What did you do to the interior AC box? Did you have to modify at all? I’m on the step of mocking the firewall and about to start to to try and fit all this in. Just looking for some pointers. Thanks
I did end up cutting it down, I can’t remember exactly how though? Just looked at the box and deleted and capped some of the parts that looked overly bulky… good luck with the build!!
Considering a swap like this with a 79 f100. I love how you integrated all the Crown Vic stuff into the firewall, HVAC was one of my big questions. Question, what did you do for the gauge cluster?
This got a Dakota digital dash, but you can cut down the Vic cluster and make it look pretty good. Check out my other Vic swap video. That’s what I did on that one
Working on a 67’ flareside CV swap and had the same question about the gauge cluster. Contemplating between modifying the CV cluster to fit or splurge on the Dakota.
Clean job congrats on a cool ride. On my 79 I just used the crown vic front suspension upgraded of course and a four link in the back upgraded of course. I beefed up the small block and added a top loader. I kept the body stock only with new black paint but I like your choices all the crazy wiring on new cars was not for me I like simple even keeping mine a long bed with all the trim. Oh yeah great choice on tires and wheels in that respect we were on the same page. Again excellent job may you get many years of enjoyment out her. Looking forward to the next one keep up the good work. one
@@FactoryFreshChannel I'm thinking of trying this with my 80 D100 short bed step side. I have a 11 P71 I no longer use, the wiring od is the scary part for me.
Ive build a few of these trucks myself. I was looking at the details! The truck looked great first of all. Could you tell me more about about the AC box you used on the inside i noticed it looked way smaller than the factory crown vic box! Did you cut it down or what box did you use on the inside. Thank!
It’s cut to factory shortbed specs. I can’t remember exactly what I ended up taking out? Something like 5-6” front of wheel and a little more behind the wheel
It’s raptor liner. I color matched the cab portions and a custom color for the bed. I scuffed the bed etch primer then sprayed. Raptor liner is really versatile and easy to work with. I love that stuff
I'm getting ready to do this exact same thing with a 71 f250. I was wondering if it was any different then using a f100? I have never done this so I'm completely in a black whole here
Haha mainly all on my owe. It’s my time to relax and work through stuff in the garage. Wife is super supportive and my kids are always out working with me or playing while I work so I enjoy that too. Not sure on hours but it’s a lot lol
Have a really good condition 66 f100 sitting around. Really really trying to figure out how to do this. It has a title and its in good condition so it sucks it wont be original but thats how i want it.
You win the best build award! I subscribed to your channel. Do you know when the first crown Vic swap was done? 1 of any notoriety? I'm curious because people laughed at me around 2010. I suggested taking a 1956 crown Vic four-door and put it onto a police interceptor crown Vic frame. Now somebody else might have thought of this but I came to me as I was looking at this beautiful 55 or 56 crown Vic four door. The car was beautiful. The engine transmission had been sourced out for some other project years before. I did measurements on the wheelbase and other items of concern.
I don’t. Everything sounds crazy to people till it’s done, that’s why I just do whatever I think would be cool, lots of haters. How cares have fun with it, that’s hot rodding. Thanks for watching!
@@FactoryFreshChannel somebody probably said that you ruined a good Ford pickup and maybe somebody else said you ruined a crown Vic. Sounds crazy but I do run into some people who like to crown vics and want to see them stay the way they are. Honestly it's the creation and the path to that point that makes the vehicle worth something. We all know that if it's a Chevy truck right now they bring in more money. But money aside when you start out with a better truck for this you have less patching in the product is better at the end. Man I've always despised Fox body mustangs. With the standalone harness and stock PCM do you run into PATs issues? Or is there a few wires you jump at the connector to override it? Or does it not matter with the standalone harness?
Yeah it is and would do it that way in the future. Way easier than factory chassis wiring harness. I used a aftermarket 12 or 20 circuit chassis harness with stock pcm to run the engine/tranny.

You can keep or remove the emissions stuff under the rear truck you won’t need to flash computer. As for all the chassis harness most can be removed. You need to keep the fuel pump and inertia switch which is in the trunk
Took me a year or so to build, guessing around 300 to 500? Hard to tell I just worked on this one when I had time throughout the week. Thanks for watching

This truck is actually a F250 also. So it’s exactly the same. Good luck!!
Is it possible to do this but lengthen the Vic frame and keep it long bed?
Yes. You would have to lengthen the driveshaft, brake lines, fuel lines etc
What material did you use on the bed floor. That looks nice!!
Is it trex boards?
Yup trex
Awesome. Did you paint them?
Used raptor liner to put a light bed liner texture with a custom gray color tint
How did you attach them down to truck?
What instrument cluster did you use and did you have to delete the pats on cv
Dakota digital no anti theft it’s a police interceptor

I hear that! Gotta get the stance right!

What did you use/do for the steering shaft? I just put a front end on my 1973 f150
Column was ididit I believe and a Bergson shaft I cut and measured down

With the standalone harness and stock PCM do you run into PATs issues? Or is there a few wires you jump at the connector to override it? Or does it not matter with the standalone harness?
PATS varies on what you do and don’t use from the factory harness ECU. Worst case scenario you can turn it off with Hp tuners.
I'm wondering how much of the crown vic harness you used. After rewiring my 2009 engine. It almost seems easy to go stand alone using the stock pcm.
Yeah it is and would do it that way in the future. Way easier than factory chassis wiring harness. I used a aftermarket 12 or 20 circuit chassis harness with stock pcm to run the engine/tranny.
How do you go about registering this is the title to the cab or the frame?
Cab has VIN. Just like any aftermarket custom frame you could purchase you wouldn’t change the title due to the upgraded frame.
What the difference between police interceptor to the stock crown Victoria front suspension 2003 tp 2011 please
Front suspension would just be the struts are quite a bit stiffer than the civilian vic
