  • We resubmitted the cards. The results are back! Link to that video here: • Proof that PSA is not ...
    Hey guys,
Today I decided to crack open both Munch Pikachu's that PSA graded "5." I did initially contact PSA and PSA has refused to acknowledge any potential grading malfeasance. They even stated that TWO graders had reviewed these cards and deemed them a "5." They have not agree to re-grade the cards and or offer an expedited service to do so. PSA and other grading services need to be held accountable for misgrades. They do happen, we are all human, but this needs to be discussed.
    To preface:
    PSA standards for EX 5
: Taken from the PSA website:
On PSA EX-5 cards, very minor rounding of the corners is becoming evident. Surface wear or printing defects are more visible. There may be minor chipping on the edges. Loss of original gloss will be more apparent. Focus of picture may be slightly out-of-register. Several light scratches may be visible upon close inspection, but do not detract from the appeal of the card. Card may show some off-whiteness of borders. Centering must be 85/15 or better on the front and 90/10 or better on the back.

well its cause they are the most leniant grading company, this video being an exception. They give out PSA 10's like its candy and because of that, more collectors choose to have that perfect 10 score over a BGS or CGS 9.5.

look it is in PSA's best interest to not give cards high grades because a low population will drive the prices up of the already graded cards that have high ranks. Honestly, I have been looking at PSA population reports for the last year and something really peculiar happens when you take the pop data of cards and graph them with a curve, and almost every card's pop report has the same curve with a near-exact upward trend and downward trend. I can't prove it but I feel very confident in saying they give lower grades to cards on purpose to drive up the price of high graded cards the company personally owns, because the owner collects cards and does this to ensure the value of his collection along with other individuals who submit to PSA.

I feel like this is the first time you've ever graded a card. In your first video, you believe the graders haven't seen reverse holo cards from legendary collection? LC reverse holo's are notoriously for being easily scratched and for having print lines. In this video you talked about the print lines/scratches on the pikachu card. You also mentioned in the first video that the Pikachu was "perfect". At one point in video one you mentioned that you only send in psa 8-10 candidate cards- "Nothing below an 8". Obviously this wasn't true as the Gio Gyarados has much whitening and tons of scratches on the holo. The Gyarados got a 5 which would make your grading scale inconsistent if you thought that card would get an 8.
PSA also doesn't do subgrades either, if you want subgrades go to other grading companies. Not trying to be rude, but you have to be delirious if you think PSA is going to care about you emailing and calling about the grades. You are sending in cards that aren't 9/10 quality and upset when they don't get 9/10s. Like I said above, you stated you only send in 8+ condition, then show the Gyrados that has much whitening and the holo is extremely scratched- lets remember your the one saying PSA isn't consistent. Let me state that I'm not a PSA fanboy or whatever. I feel like your just being illogical and trying to get attention.
And jeez man, figure out how to use a flashlight before the video lmao and the way you opened up the psa cards made me cringe. It can be terribly disappointing waiting so long to get grades back and the cards not living up to your expectations. This is my opinion and hopefully I didn't come off as rude/an asshole. Hopefully your next submission with whatever grading company you go through comes back with 9's or 10's. Best of luck.

I don’t understand how someone can say so many words on their post and yet completely ignore strong evidence that PSA’s grading is inconsistent. This guy even had his Pikachu cards regraded and they came back as a 10, so it’s 100% undeniable that PSA is not grading their cards correctly.

Grading card companies are just lazy. They rely on the imperfect human being to grade cards which ends up making the entire process subjective when it needs to be objective, that is whole reason to spending money for grading and even these even card companies seem to forget that.
The only way to fix these inconsistencies is by contacting the Pokemon company and requesting to use their official reference grade card schematics. All that needs to be done is upload the dimensions of said card into an industrial scanner and each card up for grading could be physically analyzed for objective accuracy. Centering, corner radius , corner edge, edge whiting, edge uniformity and such would all be handled by software that is programmed with tolerances which would spit out each respected grade. A grade 10 of any card should be extremely fucking rare, the centering should be exactly 50/50, corners should all have a perfectly equal radii, corners and edges should have absolutely zero whiting, the surface should have ZERO Knicks, bumps, scratches or warping of any kind which would be performed by a low powered based laser roughness meter.
This would inevitably increase the price of grading cards from $25 to $100+ per card. But the few cards that do pass as a 10 would be easily worth 100x what 10s are worth now because they’re objectified by math and you cannot disprove basic math.

My PSA 6 Blastoise looks way worse than your Gyarados. It has a small crease on one corner with holo-foil exposed, the border on the back has whitening all around the edge, and the top right portion of the reverse has a scuff mark on it. It should've been given a 4 or maybe 5 at best.

Be cool if the way it works is we state the minimum we want our card to grade and if it doesn't grade that in PSA opinion then they won't grade it but will charge you a review fee of just a few bucks maybe $5 a card would you be ok with that? I know it would make PSA graded more suspect because o e would assume they just wanted the money that's why you got ur grade, ok fair point, this is where the trust comes in the same trust that every PSA submitted has shown PSA by sending them their cards in the past comes into play, it's the same company so they must be ok with this system otherwise they are just throwing every other grade in the past into sus territory because it's the same company so the same trust level should be there if it's not any more then everything the company has done in the past should be not trusted either. Does that make sense to you?

You cracked the 2 PSA 5 cards cards out of the holders. The 2 cards should of been in plain view even after you cracked them out. They were not. You could of set the 2 PSA 5 cards aside and swapped in 2 really nice cards instead. So there is no actual proof that PSA screwed up because the 2 cards were not in plain view the whole time. You should of cracked them out, cleaned them off, got your light and then showed us the 2 cards without removing them from view. Then if there was a drastic undergrade i would believe it other than that no. Also in another video you show the supposed 2 same cards you cracked and regraded to get a PSA 10 and a PSA 9. Maybe these are not the 2 cards you cracked out but different ones.

I'll be 100% honest I think the way you scale stuff is just plain wrong. First its unrealistic to submit and expect 9s and 10s on everything, and you said in the last video you don't send in anything you think will be lower then an 8, but that Gary was not remotely close to an 8. If you think that was an 8, that explains why you are so disappointed. And as minor as it may be, that 1st Pika is not mint. Yes the whitening is tiny, but it is automatically not "mint" for that.
