  • China has officially handed over the Standard Gauge Railway to Kenya. President Uhuru Kenyatta has been joined at the Port of Mombasa by dozens of top officials from the Chinese companies that helped build and fund the railway project. The handover ceremony included traditional dancing and singing to mark this momentous occasion. The railway will eventually link up to the entire East African region. It's been called a potential game changer for Kenya and the region. President Kenyatta is due to leave from the Mombasa station on Wednesday morning to take the inaugural train to Nairobi. Well, our team is in Mombasa and has been getting us more on the SGR, the projects that go with it, and the potential benefits. Here's Ramah Nyang with more.

China said that they do not want to be a "super power' and they do not want to be the "leader" in the world.
But they are simply demonstrating to the world how the world "leader" should behave.

Other than the Babylon (aka illuminarti) puppets (US, West, Western Europe, NATO), Yeah for the rest of the world, they will believe China.
China is doing by what it say will do -- at least with current leader Xi.
And those around China, Asia will rise the most, while Africa is not left out because Belt & road will expand and go into Africa,
while Russia will help China extend the rail & road links into America continent via Alaska...
"Power that be" is the Dragon.
And China is the only Dragon large enough to be its body.
China = The Dragon = "Power that be"
China is the "Power that be". And so China shall rule in ways different to the world, China shall become the middle kingdom, the centre of the world and will achieve the pinnacle and ultimate height in all of her endevour within this world.
By ~2024 there will only be 1 space station left in operation that is China - international space station.
China will invite the world to use its "Space station"
While USA & West is the culprit that brings in war, genocide, 9/11, global terrorism, funding rebels & ISIS (& Al-quaeda) around the world for unheaval.
"Power that be" and the occult secret societies the ruling supervisor of this world has long predicted after these events, the doctrine of the "Power that be" shall be revealed.
Revelation of the doctrine of the "Power that be" is China.
And that doctrine is now announced through Chinese leadership Xi and his speech and motivation to this world.

Afroz Shah - No, you Indians are the ones that are more hungry for land. If you want peace, don't cross a 3rd country to fight the Chinese. Funny how you wanting to control over Bhutan & calling China the bully. Of course you're not weak, that's why you always look at things aggressively. You are the ones that always interpret China's economy moves as military motives, this itself reflects what you really are, the real military land-hungry bully.

Idiot. China did not "help" "Africa". In the case of this train, China LOANED Kenya the money to build it, then built it with 90% Chinese labor and material, overcharged Kenya by estimates of 40-60%, did not take into account that the train runs through the middle of a national reserve, and that Kenya will be in debt to China with high interest loans for the next 30-40 years (60% of their GDP!)! Yeah, we overcharge for a project, run your country into incredible debt for doing it, and use our own engineers and laborers to build it, with the primary purpose being to move Chinese goods into Kenya. Yeah. "thanks" China for all your "help".

I’m Chinese. I went to Nigeria in 2016. There are so many nice and amazing people. I met a swimming coach in the hotel swimming pool. Oh my god. He’s like a super muscle god. I told him, you could make so much money in any place of the world as a trainer. He said I can’t afford a plane ticket…never. we visited local official’s house. And the light went off 3 times because lack of electricity. It’s just the country is still too poor for people to prosper. Out team gave all our cheap phone for local communication to the hotel staff. I also gave them some money. I’m so so so angry when some evil people say this is debt trap bla bla. How can people really become rich and live a good life when roads are still mud and there is no rail and enough electricity?!!!!!! They are treating African people are fools and trashing African people’s IQ.Run, Africa, run! Beat the evils who enslaved you and sold you to another continent. Love you.

There is a word in China: "if you want to be rich, fix the road first." I think this railway is a strategic level for Kenya, and it is very necessary.

Well Done to the chinese for winning hearts and not wars . India also has similar foreign policy in Africa.

Also like to see financials like when is the break even point - when the project will be profitable etc.

most railways around the world barely pay for themselves without the extensive use of freight and industrial use .what i see happening is the chinese using this railway to make the export of mineral resources easier and using the debt created from building the railway as leverage to get those resources at a cheap rate. britain created a railway in india that is unequaled and the indians have added to it and not destroyed it ,hopefully kenya does the same

Don't happy. It is just a little step. It is a long road to fight for better future. Each step is only the beginning. Chinese government advocate 1 belt 1 road is a mega project, organizing Asia, Europe, Africa and Middle East to be a great economy. It may takes over half century to finish this project. Now Chinese launched a project "train in vacuum tube", which can transport in max 4000km per hour. Theorically, it can upgrade to 20,000km per hour(Kenya to Hong Kong just take 37 minute). This mobility of human and cargo can join us closely. We may hammer out a union like "European Union". Try to imagine, Kenyans can live in Kenya but go to work at Hong Kong everyday. After working, you can go back Kenya. You can go to Mascow, Italy, China to enjoy a happy weekend, going back to home at night. I am not kidding. It will come true since this technology is designing. it may not happen in this decade, even next decade but it will happen in future.
This railway is just a very small small small small step. There is a long road for you to run.
