For those who are asking about A Gallo watercolour tubes: they don’t make any 😢. I asked them about tubes and they said they don’t make them. They used to make tubes a loooong time ago, but no more.
@@awatercolourist Not 40 euros a half pan expensive! A 14ml tube is less than $20 Canadian for me, which would fill 6ish half pans. I know W&N paints can be pricey though, compared to other brands. And hi back! :D
I’ve heard before that handmade paints are more granulating since they can’t be as finely mulled as machines do. Maybe that’s why many of the non-granulating paints granulate?
Regarding Copper Blue, I think, but I’m not sure, it is supposed to be a hue of Verdigris, which is oxidised copper. Basically, think of the Statue of Liberty.
Vellum is the translucent paper or parchment on the dots (the baking paper as you so delightfully put it… baaaaking 🤤). I think it’s artificial vellum; genuine vellum is made of sheep skin.
A Gallo just added 12 new paints to their range. They will be available starting with the next Shop update. I’m not sure whether they are in this dot card.

Leighton Red Ochre and Meteorite Brown are both new colours that were introduced last month. Maybe that’s why they are not on the dot chart?
YInMn blue reminds me of W&N Smalt, which is a LOT cheaper! 40 euros for a half pan, wow! Enjoyed the video. I added a bunch to my wish list! :)

9:05 I agree with Ari, PY175 is very beautiful and oh-so-useful.
Potter’s Pink, Rose Madder and Dragon’s Blood are very similar in hue.

The Harbour Blue looks duller than in other videos. Have you considered swatching it on another paper?
For Roses Nadder, W&N adds bergamot Essence to their paints, or so I heard.
