    “Notation”: how accurate is this type of Multiac? I really wonder what is a ballpark estimate of errors n correctly hit notes when fingerstyle method is used while fingerpicking midi into an app such as Guitar Pro 7.5 etc?

    • @OPTIONALWATCH
      @OPTIONALWATCH 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That depends on the MIDI conversion box. Also if using the GR 55 you may have to adjust sensitivity. I don't think it's totally up to the guitar, but one has to take into account that the pickups on the strings may miss a sound so you have to adjust the sensitivity setting until you find the sweet spot. Also sounds from other strings could be an issue if the sensitivity is not set correctly.

    I have a Godin Multiac synth guitar. It works fine with my Roland GR-33 but the patch change buttons on the guitar don't respond anymore.
    I put a brand new battery in it. Still no good.
    Any suggestions to remedy this?
    Thanks,
    Dan

      It worries me that the questions posed in the comments here haven't been answered. Considering it's years later, it's Godin's own channel and there are a number of very valid questions among these comments it really puts me off buying one when I was very close to doing so.

    Superb sound... I wonder if what we're hearing was recorded in line. And if the answer is yes, what kind of hardware you used to capture the sound, and if it had any kind of process afterwards. Thanks you in advance :)

    I just got the GR 55, and I've been experimenting with my Multiac Guitar like this one in the video, what I don't understand is that the synth blend slider doesn't seem to have any effect at all on the output sound. I seem to be only getting the synth regardless of the position of the guitar volume slider or the blend slider. Am I doing something wrong? Did I miss something?

    • @Greghc48
      @Greghc48 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Marc Novoselec I just bought the gr55 and found out that I had to connect both the 13 pin cable and the normal guitar plug to get the synth and guitar sounds to work. That configuration also enabled the slide switches to work per this video. The manual was unclear on this……!

      Ok so if one output is in gr55 (13 pin) and second normal plug to tc helicon voice live 3 pedal ,can both devices work with godin in the same time just by switching slider volume on/of or there is some other philosofy ?

  • @MinhPhamGators

    Godin does not mention the 9V battery anywhere. The manual is one single sheet.

    • @MrDarkbob
      @MrDarkbob 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Any luck on that?

    • @MinhPhamGators
      @MinhPhamGators 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There is a 9V battery compartment in the back of the guitar. This is powering internal circuitry. It seems to draw little current, as I have been playing every day for several weeks without having to change the battery. I just wish the manual or the video mentions these facts for people who are about to make the decision to purchase.

    • @MinhPhamGators
      @MinhPhamGators 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I only mentioned that because when I was investigating to buy the guitar, I did not find any reference to this battery compartment. I asked a sales person from an Internet storefront, and he didn't know if it needed any battery. I thought the may need a special battery for some purpose, which would be a negative point for me. I went ahead and purchased the guitar anyway, and found out that it is a 9V battery.

      It activates the pre-amps in the guitar when the 13-pin is not used

    • @lucydayLucida

      @@MinhPhamGators Thank you for your comments here as I have decided not to purchase given the lack of information and bugs that seem to be there in the synth part. No response from Godin to the questions here have been the clincher for me.

      Internal tuners are usually inaccurate anyways, you're better off getting a clip on, or even better, a pedal tuner

    Someone is interfering with this demo with some obnoxious music in the background. I have taken courses in high school and college, and there was no background music in any of them. Get rid of this obnoxious background and try this demo again.

    It reinvents the acoustic guitar by sounding like shit

    • @ATthemusician
      @ATthemusician 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a classical guitar with electric guitar style neck and body, not nearly the same as a typical steel string acoustic.

  • @fluteguitarbass
    @fluteguitarbass 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The backing track is unnecessary and distracting. Why not FEATURE the guitar with different playing styles without accompaniment? Lets people hear different styles rather than a heavy (boring) back track.

  • @alandavies5376

    This is a wonderful guitar, but I play a left handed version of the Multicac Encore, and the blend control has no efect whatsoever. As a retired electronics engineer, I decided to check out the preamp, and found that there was a problem on that board. I then ordered a new preamp board, but Godin kept sending me the wrong one. Clearly, they have no idea what type of circuit board they use in their guitars. They make great guitars, but their after sales service is totally shit. If you buy a Godin guitar, and there are problems with it, forget any help, because Godin have no fucking idea about after sales service. I am a working musician, I tell as many people as I can about Godin's shit service. Buy a Godin guitar by all means, but don't expect any help when things go wrong; they are crap!
