Very timely video, Andres. Last Saturday, I played my first solo show with my Godin Multiac Encore nylon, and received a number of compliments, mostly from other musicians. I ran it straight into a Fishman Loudbox Mini amp......no effects. The other two bands on the bill were typical loud, electric bands, and we alternated several short sets, and many in the audience commented on what a nice contrast my "mellow", subdued playing made, compared to the harsh electric players.. Like you here, I actually had someone ask about the guitar mid-performance, so I took a minute to give a little lesson on its features. (The Encore does not have the midi-features like yours) I was a little nervous.....this was the first time in decades I didn't have a band to "hide behind"......it was like walking onstage naked for all to see. But it went well, and I'm looking forward to doing more solo gigs.
When I was playing my Godin using the sint effect more than 30 years ago in Italy I got a lot of similar situations. Than I understood that people was appreciated the sound on the true gitar and less the sint effects. I invested a lot of money but the people liked more the original sounds of the guitar so I still have the pedal GR09 but playing only in my sudio. Keep doing what you do, you created your own style and that’s what matter. Peace and love.
Fantastic! Really like the idea of the BodyRez - never thought of that! I have the Godin Nylon ACS Multiac and adore it, and was using the HOF version 1 with the longer pre-delay and possibly 'Church of Andy' toneprint and it was my favorite use of the HOF honestly, even over my electrics. Now I am using the HX Stomp with the new Dynamic Plate and Halls, etc, with snapshots to choose the reverb levels, and it is KILLER! Before I had the Godin I tried mic'ing my Alhambra 6PE with a fairly complicated chain and it was tough to get a good sound. The Godin approach to live playing for nylon is absoultely brilliant. Now you are making me want to loop and add a sunth!
This is wicked! I'm definitely inspired between the synth and the looper! You just got yourself a subscriber. I love my Godins, I have an ST, and LG electric.
Love it ! Thank you for the tone info... btw I'm a big Godin fan having had a couple Acousticasters over my lifetime and loved each ! Btw Big Fan of your music Andres... thank you for sharing !
I own a Godin a ACS SA slim and it's one of the great guitars of my entire life.......with or with out the gr55 ......lovely sounding and a buttery action along with my acoustasonic strat and my epiphone sst studio it is my fave of all my guitars
Reverb is the first step in my effect chain. A short delay slap back echo and light chorus make good guitar sounds. Blended with synth modules the layers get quite full sounding.
I just acquired a Godin Encore nylon. Beautiful sound, but I’m finding I really need to change the way I play on this guitar as opposed to my steel string acoustic. Very different feel, but I like it.
@@andrescolintv I used it for a pretty good run (for several years actually) and I started to crave something else tone-wise. I experimented with IR's with an Audio Sprockets Tonedexter and liked that but I have changed axes as well. I'm using a Taylor Mini Koa now and I don't feel like the IR sounds as good as it does on my other guitar so I just use the Tonedexter as a preamp and bypass the IR. From there I run it to a yellow Mooer compression pedal. You got me thinking about auditioning it in place of my compression pedal since I still have it in a drawer.
I have a takamike and bodyrez carbon copy and reverb of mxr, and was hoping to buy a silent yamaha guitad, but it already has its own reverb and its own system of enhancing sound, after seeing your video i think the best opcion for me is a godin! Would be a good idea if you make a video of all kind of godin guitars, models etc. Just a suggestion Thanks for all! :)
Hi, there, Andres. Hola, desde España. Estupendo.
Hi Andres, I have a GODIN Multiac ACS-SA Nylon Natural SG guitar which I utterly like, but find the tone a bit dull. I have a BOSS acoustic preamp AD-2 pedal (for my other guitar). Do You recommend it to my Godin or rather the TC Bodyrez? Godin guitars have actually piezo pickups for every string, and no mic pickup, right? So Bodyrez could be useful., preamp maybe not necessery for Godins. Thanks in advance!
Unfortunately I cannot answer your question because I have never tried the Boss acoustic preamp Ad-2. I like the bodyrez because it sounds great and it is small. If you’re looking for alternatives look into the fishman aura pedal. It has a bunch of different studio mic presets
Hello, I appreciate the video great stuff. For years upon years, I have worked on getting that Piezo sound out of my nylon string. For years I have used the Yamaha AG Stomp with the Nylon sim. When the Gipsy Kings came out, I don’t think that technology was there yet. So when they play live, it’s rough lol. Does Body Rez take that tiny sound out, and warm up the signal? Are you using any compressors? Thanks man.
Hello Andres, I have the same guitar. It’s a beautiful instrument. I tend to use the whole neck when I play. Other than the truss rod, do you know what else can be done to lower the action? Thanks
Which one should I pick that sound great for classical sound, but does not have midi? I seriously don't need midi. I just need great plugged in classical (nylon) sound.
Hi Andres, I have a GODIN Multiac Nylon, how do i adjust the( hi,mid and bass) EQ on mixer for live sound.Especially like (Classical/Spanish)Thanks in advance
What amps and speakers do you use to get the mix clarity? Do you run your guitar and effects/loop pedals through a board? If so, what board do you use?
Hello thank you for sharing your experience with us it was very useful. I have just one question; are you using a special device to switch between instruments sound or it’s jus a software? Thanks again 🌹
Hey man, Glad I cam help. Regarding the different sounds played with the guitar, that’s because my Godin has a special feature called synthesizer access which is just an extra connector so you can use what’s called a 13 pin cable. With that you can connect it to a guitar synth in my case the Roland Gr-20 (now discontinued). They make a newer version the Gr-55 but I’m not experienced with that one. That’s how you trigger all these other instruments. Cheers
@@andrescolintv The Body Rez price is right though! My question is, even though the guitar has no real acoustic properties (solid body!) this pedal will enhance its tone? Will it rev up those saddle mounted transducers or what? Meanwhile, I just placed a bid on a Roland GR 20! Happy looping!
I think you're truly talented but have the worst luck with pedals breaking. Your jam man looper unreliability led you to the boss 505. Sometimes things happen for a reason. I hope the hall of fame doesn't fail you as much as the jam man
Thanks for watching. I hope you enjoy the content 😉

Godin are amazing guitars. Their piezo pickup really enhance the string sounds. But a great player such as you can bring out the best in Godin.

Stole a few riffs off this. Thankyou Colin.
You are great, Im a one man band too and really admire your work dear.
this guy sounds real good and is a class act. Andres Colin, do you have a video on the gear you use to get your sounds?
Fabulous work :) Putting the Godin to such good use
