Cairo station? Thats one of the harder halo 2 levels. I soloed it and it took me an hour.
Sharkboy1006 Well I don't care enough to check, and that means you did it on pc. While I did it on MCC. With pc you can be more precise with your shots and theres more control, and I play severely safe. Considering elites can kill you in a second.

If you try to complete the Library on Legendary with the assault rifle instead of the Shotty, then yea you're gonna have a rough time
The shotgun literally mows down everyone. I just wait for the flood to come at me and as they turn around the corner I just shoot every moving thing and I always finish the level under 30-40 minutes.
But it's the best at taking care of infection forms. It took me 2 hours with the AR and shotgun.

Every Halo Reach mission if you let Kat drive. Nuff said.
She drove me up the anti-air gun on Sword Base.... which then broke it.... after which the warthog flipped and she jumped into a Ghost and ditched me.... I had to walk through the rest of the covenant army on foot with a shotgun, somehow taking out the turrets and vehicles on legendary...

I don't know why everyone has trouble with this level, the first time I did it on Legendary I was surprised it was easier then I thought it would be (it was hyped up to be almost impossible). All you need is the shotgun mostly and just quickly take them out, take cover behind corners and shoot them one at a time

Alright, so Halo 2 is broken as hell on Legendary, making any mission from that game harder than any mission from any of the other Halo Games, so my number one spot just goes to the entirety of Halo 2. That said:

2) The Truth and Reconciliation
3) The Ark
4) The Pillar of Autumn (Reach)
5) Tsavo Highway

YES, Combat Evolved wasn’t hard on legendary but it for sure had difficult sections to go through, the end of Keyes being one of them when you have to get through spec ops elites to get to the banshee.

Technically Mythic difficulty is when you have any number of skulls on, when you have them all in it turns into LASO, so they are two different things

Ha, Legendary in Halo 2 was way OP. Bungie was probably overcompensating for players claiming CE was too easy. I would put Regret over Gravemind as the hardest though with lots of snipers and fighting in constricted areas. I got killed many times in the gondola by the dual wielding Elite rangers. Two plasma rifles shots to take down your shields and two more to kill you in less than 3 seconds. Plus the final fight against Regret is a pain as well. In Gravemind, the first room is the hardest and HaloFollower makes it harder by not immediately retreating to the sheltered areas next to the locked door. After that, it's really not that bad.
Libary should've been number one.

***** Yeah it is for me now, but when I was 7 it was pretty hard.
To me The Library on Legendary wasn't bad. Just use a shotgun and wait for the flood to turn around a corner and you'll be fine. It takes me around 30-39 minutes. Now TWO BETRAYALS was so difficult for me since I always get shot at a lot and most of the time have to do around half the mission with one health bar and since taking down those beam pillars takes away your shields and as you're exiting you're greeted by a squad of enemies, it got so frustrating.
Lone wolf is literally impossible to do

A tip for the Library - use the needler for flood infection forms. Don't spray it. A single needle will pop an infection form, so aim and squeeze off one needle at a time. It's easy to kill crowds of them quickly without wasting much ammo if you make each needle a deliberate shot. As a single-shot weapon the needler holds a lot of ammo and the strong auto-aim means you hardly ever miss.
The Library! And I love it.
Every stage in Halo 2 is impossible on Legendary Mode.

Cortana on legendary isn't too difficult, the only area where I found myself getting frustrated was the corridor directly following the room where you get the "Coin's fault" achievement. Other than that, the plasma rifle and energy sword made it smooth sailing
Those halo reach weekly challegenes with laso or most of the skulls where you cant die at all 4player co-OP was a real pain.

I completely forgot about those daily challenges. I actually liked them, it gave us something to work for every day. I thought it was a nice addition, although some challenges were quite difficult.

Actually, when I played The Library on Legendary, it was a relief. The fact that I didn't have to use two types of weapons to take down one enemy was paradise, and the fact that there was a whole bunch of Flood that I could shoot that would set off a chain reaction of explosives was also handy.
I will admit, however, that the parts in where the Monitor leaves for a while, trapping you in a room, were hard. But not at all as hard as the Covenant were.

Me and my friend got the master chief collection and we love it but we are thinking of playing all of them on legendary and the library is gonna kill me =-O
It's really not that bad, just takes a lot of patience and a shotgun, rocket launcher/assault rifle, and full grenades. There's only one part that really tests your skill though, where you're stuck waiting for 343 again in that closed section near the end where there's two vents that they infinitely spawn from. I recommend camping in the corner to the right next to the door, and using those grenades, other than that just have patience and prioritise your shields.
I'm not being a "343 is bad" kind of guy here but the fact you have a Halo 4 mission shows your lack of knowledge of just how hard Halo 2 is on legendary. In fact no missions from ANY other halo should be on here except 2

Oh and any kind of flood mission should not even be on the list at all, they are laughable with energy swords, which are ABUNDANCE in Halo 2 and 3. Not to forget the flood don't spam shots. They shoot very slowly so it's easy to pass them.
Edit: It's not Cario Station it's Cairo.
Ikr, also, the Flood on Halo 3 were REALLY easy to kill, they were a better challenge back in Halo CE and Halo 2
Claudia Alvarez reason being is because you can do quite a bit of damage with mêlée on halo 3 whereas 1 and 2 had very little damage if any through melee
Outskirts is really easy, considering you can skip most of the level just by jumping on the rooftops. Playing through it without that would be a nightmare though.
To me, Outskirts wasn't that hard, at least, not as hard as people make it out to be. Regret wasn't that hard for me either, except for the actual fight with Regret. Neither was Delta Halo. Gravemind was pretty tough though.
To be honest, I would put the most difficult being Truth and Reconciliation on Halo CE. After you get into the cruiser and complete the first room with the energy sword Elites, it gets hard as shit, at least for me. There's hardly any ammo until you get near the end of the level, and by that time, there aren't really any difficult spots.
Also, it seems very strange to me, but I thought the Halo 1 campaign is harder than the Halo 2 campaign... Maybe it's just because I've played Halo 2 more than Halo CE, but I don't think that's the case. You can't use energy swords in Halo CE, and there is no Battle Rifle either. Headshots in CE have to come from your trusty pistol.
I can beat outskirts in about 4 minutes without firing a single shot. It's definitely shouldn't be in any top 5 list.
I actually enjoyed the Cortana level. Dual plasma rifles works really well against all the flood forms, and a backup energy sword takes care of tank forms.

I found Halo 4 the hardest game to beat on legendary because of the promethians.
What? Halo 4 Legendary Was So Easy. Damn. It was the technique to use a BR or LR, Take out watchers, Throw nade at knights, shoot knights with BR, take out crawlers.
The prometheans were the most aggressive AI in Halo.

Prometheans knights are like elites, except they can teleport, use op weapons, spawn watchers... I had problems with them while beating the campaign on legendary, but it is true that I finished the game on legendary on the first playthrough...

Two Betrayals was WAAAAAAAY harder on Legendary than The Library. That last section with the Wraiths was absolutely brutal, that alone took me almost an hour... in co-op.

Truth and Reconciliation on legendary made me go insane in those open hangar areas.
I didn't really find Cortana to be that difficult on legendary, there were a few parts that got annoying but I just ran past them after a few attempts. I found The Covenant to be the hardest mission in Halo 3 purely because of the section where you have to get into the tower with 3 ghosts, a wraith, prowlers and turrets defending the damn place. Also, whenever I play on legendary I put Grunt Birthday Party on for some comic relief. I'm just happy that speedruns exist, it makes some missions so much easier.
I think you mean the Ark, the covenant has prowlers and all that but it's during a scarab fight with hornets so they aren't really a problem.

Funny to me that library is so high up when its the mission thats one of the easiest for me on legendary.
Ik I always hated it but it’s not really that difficult compared to other missions
I can't believe nobody mentions Belly of the Beast (the part of Truth and Reconcilliation right after you ride the gravity lift up to the Covenant ship). The Covenant spawn randomly behind the four doors, so there is no pattern as you replay. I've played the whole Halo francise through on legendary multiple times, and that one little section is the most frustrating for me. I have never, ever done a playthrough of that part without getting killed multiple times. I can't tell you how often I've died just as the music for the hunters starts. Sometimes I think the only way I ever get through it is because I was lucky with how the Covenant spawned on that play-through.
This section seems so simple on heroic.
Go ahead and add all the Warden Eternal fights to this.
i only had trouble with the first encounter on legendary because it was kinda close quarters, the rest were easy for me for some reason, even when there were three at a time i just incinerated their asses

It scared the shit out of me when i was a kid. I Had just finished halo 2 for the PC and returning to high charity to see it become some sort of twisted flood hive was freaky as hell.

Truth and reconciliation deserves and honourable mention for its survival section when you first enter the covenant ship
I think you missed Long Night of Solace from Halo Reach, that is the type of mission that I preferred more walking than the ship, the numerous enemies ships that you need to destroy is exaggerated, the banshees at the first wave no big problem but when the seraphs appear it becomes the hell, they have big shields, too much health, all of them have a perfect aim, when you try to destroy 1 you get attacked by 3 or 4 more, you don’t have secure places to recover health, and if you try to dodge the attacks it’s impossible they are everywhere and the ship it’s very large
In conclusion it is the most frustrating, annoying, rage quitter, hard, waste of time of mission in my opinion, that and Delta Halo or any mission with snipers of Halo 2

I haven't played the Halo 2 or 5 campaigns, but the hardest missions for me were The Library, The Covenant, Cortana, Exodus, and Pillar of Autumn.

I’d argue Halo CE Two Betrayals is one of the hardest levels on legendary. Only because the second pulse generator zaps your shields to zero and tons of flood come out. Truth and Reconciliation is also tricky because of the sword elites and trying to keep Captain Keyes alive.
Really surprised Two Betrayals isn't on here, that was the most infuriating level in Halo CE for me.

@@BigguBosu117 even on normal that one part was pretty rough with the 900 ememies and those invisible bastards lmaooo the flood was there with the covenant, one time I did in the last guy and I almost cried lmaoooo, heroic is more for me. I’m pretty good gives me a bit if a challenge and still enjoyable. That level on legendary is not even fun, some parts they make it unrealistic and ridiculously hard. I get it it’s legendary so it’s supposed to be hard but I don’t have superpowers and some levels are just obnoxious 😂

Am I the only one who really likes The Library? It's like an arena shooter, similar to Serious Sam or Left 4 Dead.
There's this one mission in Halo 5 where you have to walk a long ass distance, but at the start it doesnt give you any weapons back it just gives you whatever you had on the previous level at the end of it. So you have to walk eighty thousand miles (I think its when you're trying to save master chief) but the covenant has multiple wraiths and they're fighting prometheans everywhere, at least ten knights and several soldiers with turrets. Several ghosts too. You can try and sneak past them which sort of works even though the knights target you (oh and if you go backwards to pick up weapons there are knights behind you as well that instantly kill you) but if you get around the bend in the map and try to at least reach a checkpoint there's one of those flying thingies the prometheans have there that finds you and targets you, which causes all the enemies to know your location and start firing on you, as well as two turrets (promethean) so there you go. I think that one is very hard.
The library and midnight are not difficult at all. Truth and reconsiliation and two betrayels are harder

It's about a full plot leak from someone claiming to have access to the campaign development team, though there is a thing that is canon breaking and a few things that already happened in Halo: Escalation. But keep in mind that the leaker is saying that his information is all the way back from 2013, so they could have changed a lot. Hi guys, I have a theory for the Halo 5 campain, the theory is that on the missions were you are the Arbiter the gameplay style changes to an RTS-like game style (like in halo wars) were you controll the Arbiter and his Elites from the air. I think this might be possible because we havent seen any evidence of you being able to play as an Elite in first-person, and many fans wanted an Halo Wars 2, so i think this could be really intressting if something like this happend.
It could also be Agent Locke and the spartans that you see in the background of the first cut scene in Halo 2 Anniversinary instead of the Arbiter and his Elites.
Sounds kinda like what they did in CodBo 2. Idk though, kinda breaks up the actions
Yeah, I don't really want this to happen either, but you know who 343i are... Plus I think somebody that created an populear star wars rts (wich i forgot the name of, lol) is working at 343... And 343 probobly wants an excuse for not having Elites in multiplayer.

@@Duhluzr21 assault is really tough without skipping. Two betrayals and assault you can get absolutely screwed by checkpoints on the outdoor parts as well.
The pain of spawning in on gravemind and immediately dying is all too fresh for me...

Jettinski god I hate those ranger forms. I used a dual plasma rifle combo to beam them since the Halo 3 plasma rifle is deadly accurate

Regret on halo 2 legendary............it's hell
I've done The Library on Legendary Solo without dying a single time or reverting to last checkpoint and I wasn't even going for the Achievement in the MCC, I personally find Two Betrayals the hardest Halo: CE level in Legendary. I've beaten Cortana on Legendary Solo in Halo 3 with only one death, Halo 4's Midnight I died plenty of times because Knights are such a pain in the ass and Gravemind in Halo 2 pretty obvious I died so many times I can't remember my total amount on Legendary.

Just poking fun, man. :) You're videos are great! I notice the tight editing, so don't think for a second that that's wasted effort on your part. It also makes marathoning your content a blast!
Just a tip to anyone who attempts legendary. Watch a speedrun or two (preferably where the runner speaks). They can tell you how to skip almost entire missions along with ways to stop enemies from spawning and much more. It can help cut out hours of total agony from playing legendary. Also a very good example is you can avoid most of the beginning combat in gravemind that chris was talking about just by sitting behind a door.

Rajiv Mehta Cairo Station was super easy... You just had to be well stocked and out of range the entire way through and Cortana was pretty easy too... Just need to teach yourself how to use the despawn and duplication tricks
If anybody disagrees with gravemind being the hardest, fuck them.

I'd say the final battle during the halo reach mission "the pillar of autumn" was annoying. The mission leading up to it wasn't too hard but putting up with waves of brutes from all sides is just maddening.
I'm the one who wrote this article for Halofollower so when he said "This list is based on my experience" It literally was written from MY experience. It's a shame he doesn't credit any of his article writers since they are his script writers more or less.
The biggest problem with playing Halo 4 on Legendary is the fact that you're playing Halo 4.
I wanted to do the library in halo 1ce in 30 minutes and without dying. I made it to the key did not die! Had 1 minute left! NO FLOOD! i was surprised the elites at the end of gravemind weren't mentioned, each one had powerful weapons (one had a fuel rod cannon) and they could pull energy swords out of their ass if you try to get close to take them out which you basically had to
I just finished gravemind on legendary. My score went from 7k to -2k. And I came here just to check if gravemind was on the list. Sooo glad to see it's no.1
Maybe it’s because I really like that level, but I actually beat it easier than other levels. (With the exception of the beginning- the beginning is stressful).
Halo 2 sniper jackals are the ultimate pain in the arse, i can fight anything easily on legendary but when i remember that there's jackal snipers in the next level I'm just preparing for hell.
