Or maybe it was because I got NIGHTMARES from the flood at 8, but it made me a man when I decided to NOT skip the flood levels 😅)
It really isn''t that big of a flex. You periodically get marine reinforcements throughout the level that replace your dead marines. The last drop of marines you get in that level is right before the final gondola ride. Keeping your marines alive in Gravemind is a feat. Since there any marine you lose is gone for the rest of the level. The issue with doing a challenge run where you keep your marines alive on Regret is that since you ONLY get reinforcements after your marines die, it is difficult to confirm whether the marines you have at the end of the level are the same ones you started with.
@@Canaris4keeping the Marines alive in Gravemind is made easier if you give them Carbines and your Beam Rifle. There are Carbine weapon boxes just outside the prison cell room. It's super fun to roll out with 3 Marines with Carbines and one with a Beam Rifle. They last a lot longer that way.
My girlfriend decided she wanted to play Halo for the first time, so we started playing Halo 2 and she is having so much fun lol she loves chasing down enemies with the smg and using the sword. We played "The Arbiter" last night and as soon as we got in the banshees I said "okay now whatever you do, don't press X agai-" and she pressed X and jumped out of her banshee xD I love Halo 2 the way you love CE, so for me playing through it with her and seeing the joy this game provides is priceless. MORE HALO 2 CONTENT FORG!!!!
Halo 2 scorpion is definitely the best in the series. Although a bit slower than in CE, it's got an accurate af main gun, driver-controlled and accurate coaxial machine gun, can flatten lesser vehicles, and can't be punched to pieces milliseconds after being boarded like its successors. 10/10 main battle tank!

just played halo 2’s campaign for the first time legitimately in years so I remember nothing about it, and my god it’s so freaking good, especially through it’s anniversary version, whoever remade the cutscenes needs a freaking raise I swear, they did such a freaking good job in comparison to the CE remaster
For some reason in my play-through I guess I got a bugged regret fight. I only had to board him once and eliminate a single wave of enemies. Idk why, all I had done was shoot him early with a rocket on accident.

9:40 On my recent first ever solo Legendary playthrough, I chose to floor it and hoped to avoid the Jackal sniper and survive the Spectre you'll pass if you're rushing through. I actually got it first try, although I did have to get out to kill the blockade of like four snipers.

I just played through every Halo game on Legendary and 2 was absolutely the cheapest/hardest. There were so many moments I thought I was just completely stuck with no way to win and thought I'd have to replay an entire stage.
1:52 That's an infinite spawner like there are on the Keyes level in Halo CE, it turns off if you just run forward. Which of course is kind of hard to do on legendary. (Who would have guessed) Also how dare you trash talk the CE tanks ability to fire shells sideways out of its barrel in a physics defying feat, and its MG's spread having a bigger cone of fire than the actual shotgun in the game. It is a marvel of 26th century engineering, truly an achievement of design, there will never be a tank as good as it in a FPS game.
I have to say with the remaster version of the cutscene, Johson saying "for a brick... he flew pretty good" has become my FAVORITE line of his! The little smirk he has on his face when he says it kills me EVERY time
As a Kid I used to take the tank all the way through that level also used to cram a banshee in the door is the last mission just because I like fighting Tartarus with it was funny as a kid never seen anyone else do it. also that flood mission with Arbitor were you go up that elevator did you know you could keep smacking the white elite until he is in the elevator it will go up and he will join your group killing flood and following you around learned this at 8 years old again never seen anyone do it so hopefully someone reads this and checks it out.
Found your channel recently because I just finished playing all the halos on legendary (minus odst and halo wars 1) and halo 2 was easily the most mind numbing
Oh, yeah, Halo 2 tank is easily the goat. It can actually hit it's targets with consistency with both it main and coaxial guns, unlike the Halo CE tank. And it was a beast because of said coaxial machine gun unlike every other tank after 2 where they decided "nah, let's put the mg in a gunner nest on the body of the tank rather than letting the driver use it. Is it more balanced in multiplayer? Absolutely. Is it less fun? Ohoh yes.
Recently beat Halo 2 on legendary for the first time, and on original hardware as well. Same copy my dad got when the game launched. Wasn’t as hard as I thought it was gonna be, hearing how everyone was talking about it (minus sniper jackals), but definitely harder than CE on legendary. Favorite missions on my play through were the Arbiter and Oracle, and Metropolis Hardest missions for me were Gravemind, Delta Halo, and The Great Journey
When I was a little kid, my dad told me I could play this and Halo CE as much as I wanted, but I had to stay away from the Flood levels. I played Sacred Icon and got so scared I couldn’t sleep without my dad.

Once I kept every single one of my elites alive in quarantine zone (besides the end part cause the cutscene deleted them)
Give them all beam rifles and you'll likely have a few by the end. You still have to babysit them a little, but they do their part
