I've been to Paris, I've been to London, and Berlin, and Rome ... and some other grandiose European cities. Those are all great fun, impressive etc. But I prefer Warsaw as the city to live in. Why? To put it short and straight: because IMO the everyday life here is easier.

Warsaw was called before war a Paris of the East btw :) Paris is great city but as a Warsaw resident I must say that Warsaw has this sth special. Maybe due to its turbulent history. Hard to say, but atmosphere of Warsaw is haunting and everybdy sooner or later falls in love with the Polish capital. Have a great time here, cheers from Warsaw west coast.

Bonjour / Czesc Emma! I am an American married to a Polish woman and I speak French and when it comes to Polish THE STRUGGLE IS REAL!!! Keep trying and you will learn. I am happy to see you got bitten by the Parisian bug. Someday try the Cote d'Azur like Cannes, Antibes, Nice, Saint Tropez....truly beautiful. When you have time, also go to Barcelona. In time, you will likely never want to go back to the USA :-) The food RULES!

I admit that I clicked on your videos expecting to see the ignorant American abroad. I was impressed when you then flipped the script by poking fun at yourself, instead. You're showing yourself to be smarter and more self-aware than people might expect from that stereotype. Even as you get lost on buses and mess up a few Polish phrases, you also demonstrate more courage and honesty in your journey than most people would in your situation, even those who may consider themselves sophisticated. The joke’s on them. Great videos, and enjoy Poland!

But think abaut explore more your neiberhood like other cities od Poland and learn abaut history what is the best think abaut us. Geographically we have all. As a Silesian by origin I would suggest Legnica instead of Warsaw although it's only 100K town (still larger than big names as Arles, Avignon)
Legnica's place is in the western fringe of Poland but right in the centre of Europe, roughly half way between Belgrade and Copenhagen or also half way from Stockholm to Rome, the same, roughly half way from Lwów to Cologne.

Dobry telefon... Jak on na ciebie wiernie czekał przez te trzy dni samotności, pilnując żeby się nie rozładować.
I zaraz się włączył, kiedy tylko usłyszał zgrzyt klucza w zamku, po czym rzekł na powitanie: "Hello! East or West, home the best!"
    :)
Good phone ... How he faithfully waited for you during those three days of solitude, being careful not to discharge yourself.
And soon it turned on on his own, as he heard a key scrape in the lock.
Then he said in greeting: "Hello! East or West, home the best!"
    :)

And it doesn't matter where you are, you always need to be careful with other people.
For me it's still quite hard to trust the other person, even if I know her/him for a while. After my 34 years on this earth I prefer to trust less than more. Just for better feeling in the future. Of course there is nothing wrong with trusting to the other person, but this person also should know this thin line, that after crossing it there won't be any return.

That might help... (a bit oldish of sorts, sorry)
    ...
Tracing back my steps in time
All I do is think about you Charlotte
And the love is left behind
I first saw Paris in Soho when I was thirteen
Sitting on a coffin drinking coffee
I wore black on black with negative feelings
I often go to Paris to live yesterday tomorrow
Because Paris is a place of dreams
Francoise Hardy, tous les garcons et les filles
Juliette Greco, Jeanne Moreau and Catherine Deneuve
And I'm walking with Eric Satie
Along the boulevards of Paris in the springtime
Un orchestre d'oiseaux, every so often breaks
    This map of feelings
Drifting through these landscapes of love
    Watching strays from Pere Lacheise
Can you hear the cats purr?
    Can you hear the master?
    Stone against their velvet fur
    Girls who travel the metro
Stroking white mice they carry in their pockets
    Lost in a day dream
Daydreaming to be loved by someone
Hurtling myself down into the metro
A train of Latin and African percussion
    Turns my day into night
    The rhythm of life
    The constant arguments between lovers
He wants to listen to the news
She wants to listen to the music

There will be hundreds of thousands of Polish people walking with Polish flags and singing. This is something so unique in it I bet you have never experienced and you will never forget! @Maurycy Prosiak No jest kilka znaczeń, ale myślę, że zrozumiały:
      big girl
      1. noun A female who is no longer a baby or very young child, depending on how old the speaker is. Mommy says I'm a big girl now, since I pee in the potty. I'm a big girl now, Mom. Can't I at least stay out till 10?
      2. noun A female who is overweight or obese. Can be derogatory depending on how it is used. A: "Do you honestly think a big girl like her could fit into this dress?" B: "Wow, rude!" What can I say, I think big girls are very attractive. Curves get me every time.
      3. noun A female who is especially tall. Can be derogatory depending on how it is used. A: "Yikes, she's a big girl." B: "You're just jealous, short-stuff." A: "See that big girl over there? She's gorgeous!" B: "You always do like it when a girl towers over you."
      4. noun A derogatory phrase used in jest to insult a man who other men believe is behaving in a weak or effeminate manner. Primarily heard in UK, Australia. "Quit being such a big girl walking around with your hair in a bun like that," yelled the old man to the young hipster.
      5. adjective Describing a fictional item, the use or wearing of which would give one the ability to behave as a mature adult woman should. Usually used pejoratively to imply that one is not behaving in such a way. The phrase is typically hyphenated and used before a noun. Come on, it's time to put on your big-girl pants and ask the boss for a raise. I know you're not a morning person, but put on your big-girl panties and go to work.

Drinking that cheap french wine strait out of the bottle, on the street shows great class. I'm sure Paris misses you already. Emma, you better stay in Warsaw until you improve your manners. Speaking of which, what's wrong with your language. I hear too much cursing, young lady.
