Dodge pedal or throttle body replacement doesn't require a scan tool to relearn .It makes its super easy but it is not needed.Your not reprogramming the ECM here , your just telling the ecm to relearn the pedal and throttle body positions which is also done without the scan tools. You really need a scan tool capable with live data of all sensors to diagnose but it is not needed to do relearn after replacing the throttle bodes or the inside gas pedals.

Did you get answer to this question? Can you just replace and put the new part on and will it calibrate itself in due time? Or does it require a computer scan to relearn the new part?

For people fooling around with the throttle body, replacing or cleaning. have a shop level scanner and a 12+8 bypass gateway connector if you're fooling with 2018+. also have wifi or mobile Hotspot available . I did a 2018 dodge journey TB replacement which required a shop level scanner, 12+8 bypass connector, and wifi. I used my mobile Hotspot & used a OTOFIX D1 PRO scanner to relearn the throttle body.

@237hunna I really wish I could have, if that aftermarket TB fails, and the customer brings it back. I'll do a step by step video.

Will disconnecting the negative battery cable cause it to relearn?

Take both battery cables off and tie/hold/connect the negative cable with the positive for 45min-1 hr, put the cables back on and let the car run for 10-15 minutes.

Mines great. It’s 9 years old now so it’s got it groans and moans. As expected from a 9 year old car
