Man, you have made and will make so many more memories from this hike. Stories to tell your grandkids about the crazy, funny, characters you have met along the way. I have followed your whole trail experience and you have inspired me to take the trek as well. Keep pushing on and we will all rejoice with you and your crew when y'all hit the summit of Katahdin! Thanks...

When the woods spoke to me I lost it. Then embraced the peacefulness within my soul while realizing that there's nothing in this life that I cannot achieve as long as I put my mind to it!

Beautiful views and another amazing video! Hard to believe how fast these last miles are goin! Keep on enjoying the Journey! God bless! The Holy Spirit was speaking to you through the blowing of the trees and through the babbling brooks! The Trinity is walking/hiking along side of you, Frozen! Sounds like you were in the arms of Jesus and at peace! I get those moments to while walking around the beauty of my surroundings! Glad you got to experience this feeling! May God's peace be with you as you continue to Journey on! God's Beautiful Creation and huge backyard is reaching out to you! I totally understand how others feel! Sometimes we all have felt like we've hit the bottom rockbottom somedays, but have been lifted up by Jesus' loving, guidance! Prayers are with all of the AT thru, section, and flip flop Hikers!

From all the hikers I've met, and as far as my assessment as a potential 2020 NoBo attempter.... there's two things that take you off the trail, either your mind or an injury. The chances of either just go up the longer you are out there, and it HAS to be harder the longer you're out there. I forgot which video it was, but you spoke of how you go through EVERYTHING in your brain while you are on trail and eventually, you bring up the past and analyze things and really think about how you got where you are. I realized recently how perfect the AT is NoBo for a journey, the decision making and the hiking just get harder and harder, while your body gets stronger, and your mind goes further. Keep on putting one in front the other, brother. That's the only thing you can do with Katahdin calling... happy hiking.

Way back on the day after you returned from Boston, I ran into you at a shelter. I told your Tramily that I had a lot of questions, but everyone was so tired you just went to sleep with a nice apology to all. Well, your experience with the forest made me want to share what I was going to talk with all of you about. I am a hypnotist with 20 years experience and am an expert in past lives. I was interested in talking with all of you because I was going to help you discover if and how everyone knew each other in prior lives. It would've been a fascinating conversation. I'm seeing how you've become stronger and more open as a person, and you're experience with the forest... I've met just a few people who were able to connect as you did. It's quite remarkable! I really appreciate that you shared that.

From a 2018ner, loved this video! Listen to the woods and don’t shy away from the emotions! They are neither positive or negative, but just are what they are! You are at the point of not judging, but just existing in the woods. The trail can’t be beaten nor can you be defeated. Live in harmony with the journey. Also realize that each section is preparation for the next. Your next is NH and Maine! The toughest but most rewarding. Looking forward to what is to come, as I am sure you are. Yet, don’t rush the present moment. Like a stream, you only pass over the rocks this exact way, once! Keep the Faith and Keep HikN^.

Hey Frozen, first, happy trails to you on the PCT! There is something about being outside in nature and finding joy in it that can connect with us. Maybe there was some kind of energy that you felt and it made you feel it in a positive way. It's like were connected vibrationally and words can't describe the feeling besides bliss. Your videos are inspiring me more and more to hike the AT next year :)

Thundering Falls I remember those, we stopped to explore them once on the way back from New Hampshire! I wondered if you would see them when you mentioned Killington! Nature can be very freeing and healing it forces you to feel in parts of your senses that society forces us to shut down. My family has been enjoying your hike very much, thank-you for sharing and keeping it clean so my five year old can watch with me. Who knows maybe he'll do the AT someday too!

While I won't pretend to know what your experience of the woods talking to you was like, the way you described it as something that "happened to you" likely reflects the selflessness required to have had that experience in the first place, and to "hear" what has always been there all along. Thanks as always for making, editing, and sharing these. Hike on - you got this!

These are precious moments that we can look back on for the rest of our lives.

Your vids are getting a bit "lighter." I mean the quality is just getting better??? I don't know if that is even the right word. I knew the Tramily would be good for you...because you have the right mix of people in there that meld really well together...like a collective unit...so could be this "Tramily-effect" that is propelling your vids to this whole other level. Anyhow, about that "disgruntled" thru-hiker. If he hiked it in 2016, he probably did 30 miles less than you are doing now because the AT continues to add miles. Anyone considering doing the AT really should consider section hiking it first or doing a shorter "long trail" like the Vermont Long Trail. I clocked 5,000 miles on the AT as a section hiker...now future thru-hiker. I lived in the forest since I was six year old and thought the fairies spoke to me. The forest is a magical place...and I love the roots, moss, rocks and boulders...everything every other thru-hiker, except maybe 1% hate. You were traveling thru Vermont during the "muddy" season. You have to remember your geography Frozen...Snow remains at higher elevation longer. When it melts, it floods the lower elevation. The run offs saturates the land and you get a river and mud on trail. Count all the peaks/mountains on the Long Trail...there is your answer. Happy trails to you and the Tramily! ATStrong 🌺

Noticed there were two hammocks in this vid... You must be sooo close now! Started watching you way back due to you being a local guy, doing regional trails. Then came your AT series, my chance to steal some tips from you, so I can plan my adventure . I started losing interest though, when you spent more time planning logistics with subscribers and meeting up for trail magic. But this was the video that I needed to get back the enthusiasm of watching your hike. CONGRATULATIONS! Mother Nature is the best for an "emotional/mental gear dump". She'll get ride of all the unnecessary baggage that we carry and get you back on the trail. When in doubt, go day to day...meal to meal... or at it's worse-step to step.

Thank you for taking us with you! Also, that music selection (and your selections are always great!) sounded like a really cool action/adventure movie! Half expected Ninja's to drop from the trees! Maybe Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson join your Tramily... "Fast and Furious 10: Frozen Trail" Stay safe...keep posting!

I've watched several hike the AT on youtube. Some make the mistake of focusing on the destination as they get near the end instead of focusing on the day to day journey. Once they shift their focus to the destination it becomes a race to get to the end instead of enjoying the day to day journey. It's the journey not the destination.

Your hair is getting pretty wild looking!
That was so weird, what came over you at that juncture of the trail. Maybe one day you can talk about that more.
That previous thru-hiker was a rag, it sounds like. Low self esteem type guy.
I liked you playing the guitar. Sweet that they have those instruments there for people to enjoy.

That is probably why I would never be a good thru hiker. I see a lot of good mountain streams that call to me as much as those mountains do!

👍That "feeling" is some thing that many will never experience and we who have can never explain to someone who hasn't! Just cherish the fact that you were blessed enough to receive such a gift!😉

Hey man, I really enjoyed that hiking montoge. It made me wonder, what sort of music are you enjoying right now and how do you think it reflects/affects your experience hiking?

What exactly did you feel in the woods that moved you? Was it a feeling, a particular sense? Definitely a spiritual journey. Have so enjoyed your adventure.

I was hoping you would elaborate more on the "Off your Rocker" experience. I had one while deer hunting once. Unfortunate for the deer though...but after I killed it (I don't take that lightly either) I then had this crazy uber awareness...that I was one with the universe, with the trees, sun, soil, plants, animals and yes, the deer. It was epic. Everything was illuminated for a few brief moments.
