As a yank who had the pleasure of living in the Dublin suburbs many years ago, I was amazed to discover from this video how the city has developed. If a picture is worth a thousand words, this video is worth billions. I don't remember half of what I just saw in the video. Dublin has always been a world-class city, but it's even better now! Thanks for the video!

Job well done! Professional video. What a breath of fresh air to be able to watch and listen to a video without having to endure the in-your-face sight of the narrator or commentator. Puts the BBC Travel Show to shame - their constant self-indulging commentators showing more of themselves than the places they were visiting.

*_One of my favorite things about Ireland is how the old blends right in with the new. In my area, Finglas, we have Saint Canices Church built in 1920 from granite & our family attend Mass here but just across the street from it is the old St Canices Abbey which was built in the 5th century but all that remains, besides some ruins is the actual Church which was built in the 10th century & besides having no roof it is as solid as it was when it's doors closed in 1843 & the new Church down the street went into action but didn't last long. With Ireland gaining independence & Catholics been free to worship as they pleased the cornerstone of the new Church was set in 1920 & with plumbing, heating etc & is the very Church we use today & is as glorious looking as ever with the most amazing clergy & volunteers,[myself included..lol]. We still celebrate Mass in the old Church each year, 1000 years after it's cornerstone was set. How many buildings put up today will be in constant use for 1000 years???..I dare say none, mind you our new Church is also granite so it's walls will surely stand the test of time. It's amazing to celebrate Mass in the same spot as the Abbey which taught many of those clergy who then carried on oversees as missionaries only 100 years after the NT was assembled & ratified in 393AD. Maybe my ancestors celebrated Mass here over 1000 years ago. My home is set in the very centre of were the Abbey would have been which is interesting..I just love history especially when you can look at it & touch it. We can go in & walk around looking at the old headstones so if anyone is in the Finglas area dont miss out on this little gem_*

    Simply WOW!!!
I lived in Dublin 10 years ago and it was wonderful to see all the places we lived. We lived in Drumcondra and then Swords. My daughter who was born there but left at 2 years old got to see for herself the city where she used to live. She loved your video

What a great country. I am Australian with Irish background. I would give anything to visit Ireland and mix with the Irish people, that would be the bees knees and the ants pants, ten out of ten
