A great friendship like that is worth more than anything money can buy.. Larry has a great natural sense of comedy. Patrick Duffy has the gift of the gab and is so eloquent.
I've been binging Dallas. What a great show that snuck in very relevant topics of it's day, lots of firsts on tv. Love it and miss it. Wonderful actors perfectly cast. I always crushed on Larry before Dallas. His light and love always came through. Wish that I could spend a day with Patrick Duffy, something very special and spiritual about him. RIP Ken Kerceval, you ruled as Cliff. Thank you all for your work and dedication to your craft. 💛🙏
R I P Mr Hagman you played JR with such intense passion that we sometimes did not know where JR finished and Larry Hagman began but you left your mark that,s for sure.
It was really lovely to find out that behind the scenes the actors really got on well and became really good friends, and watching these two together is just so enjoyable.
I’m a new follower of the original Dallas because having been born in 81 I never really knew it but I definitely love the original more than the new one... I love classy old Dallas!! RIP Mr. Hagman 💕💕
I myself never seen the first Dallas {heard of it} and jumped to watch this one {huge Larry fan}....Must say I'm online watching the older Dallas just to get the relationships down...LOVE IT and so glad they brought Dallas back...=)
Matt Beeman I pretty much feel the same way. I was a college kid when Dallas started. Close to 20 and I was a long way from doing anything. Thrilled working part time for a major dept store. Doing a couple model shots for friends. I lived at home most of the time. I was in my early 30s when I got into a good career. This show is about kids whose families owned companies so it’s not too surprising if they finished college by 23-24 and had a very good career job waiting.
Most informative interview with these 2 actors who became best friends and also Linda. I hadn't seen this before; enjoyed both of their comments. RIP...return if possible Larry Hagman ;) Betty Gordon, Ames, Iowa longtime fan of both of them in their prior tv shows. PATRICK, YOU ARE 1 WEEK OLDER THAN ME ;) My sympathies on the loss of your wife of 40 years. My late hubby, Jack Gordon, and I also made 40 years with him passing away the next month!
I remember when Patrick Duffy breifly left the show due to the deaths of his parents. Larry begged Pat to come back. What a friendship they had. Trivia: Steve Kanaly (Ray Krebbs) and J.R. Ewing (Hagman) were neighbors in Fort Worth.
i bn watching the original Dallas and it is sooooo good i knew Larry was on the new one but i didn't know Patrick and Linda were too now more than ever i want to see it.
When Harry took off his hat, Patrick said "Owh ! too much reflection !" 😁 Can we imagine this kind of humor between Bobby and JR ? Two different universes.
the chemistry of the cast is magic. They all had a great friendship. Linda and Patrick are still in contact with the others and they meet each other very often.
Larry Hagman looked each time in TV Like JR . Often he was a guest in German TV and each time he wears the stetson. 😅Texas hut, I don' t know, how its called right. My Mom and I watched in the eighties each tuesday night " Dallas" and after the Film, we talked about.☺️ A beautiful time.
#LarryHagman so humble and amazing gentle grateful heart.......It is so crazy how His character JR Ewing be such a brilliant villain mastermind and despicable President of Ewing Oil......but I loved every minute of it. I am more addicted today as I was back in 80'ssssssssss #DALLAS #FORTWORTH #SOUTHFORT
The Dallas re-boot was terrific. Josh Henderson & Julie Gonzalo stole it though. They were freaking AWESOME !! Every scene they were in was rewind, DVR, photographic, whatever TV !! Everyone else was great too, but those two made it their own !!
It was not a reboot. It was a continuation of the original series. A "reboot" may feature many of the original characters differently, but are usually played by new cast members and without taking into account events or continuity that occurred during the original series.
@@GeorgeCarlinWasAGod 1000% agree. However. If you go back, listen to the interviews with Patrick, Linda, Larry, even Ken, they ALL refered to it as the "re-boot". So that's where me & a lot of people get that.....
I heard on one of the FB pages, somebody said to JR, there’s an e-mail for him. I loved his response....my generation doesn’t e-mail. We talk face to face.
I really wished this new series would have lasted I think TNT made a huge mistake letting this slip through their fingers the new cast seemed so talented
I miss the Dallas tv show with Patrick Duffy @ Larry hagman I miss Larry hagman when he passed away in 2012 @ I got emotional when Bobby Ewing died in 1985 @ then came back to life in 1986
They should have filmed it in 80's style with 80's music, a la Stranger Things-and if they had those same plots like Katzman would craft, they would have killed it-even after Larry passed away. Instead, the writers did not understand why the original show was a hit and they pandered to the usual PC suspects, pleasing no one and annoying everyone. Plus, the actor playing JR's son showed no WIT, no charisma, no joy at life, while Larry was all about living life up and it was contagious. A giant missed opportunity.
I noticed that Patrick keeps talking about just the 3 of them, what about Ken Kerchaval who plays Cliff Barnes who is very much apart of the new show so its really the 4 of them, seems strange they would not mention Ken.
Airplane version of Dallas!! HAHAHA That would have been GREAT!! I loved both shows and was so sad when Larry died. Dallas WAS Larry Hagman in my opinion even though I loved ALL the characters and thought Linda Gray was the most beautiful woman on the show. The Dallas remake was done well and I think might have run much longer if Larry hadn't passed. Just one cat's opinion. . . . .
Larry Hagman is such a humble man..such a talented actor along with Duffy they are legends...there will never be a Dallas like the 1978 series.
It was FANTASTIC❗👍👍
We were So lucky to see this show. It will never be duplicated. I’m sure the cost for doing this would be off the charts.
That was funny when Susan Howard pushed Larry Hagman in Southfork swimming pool on Dallas 😏😄😅😆😀😂
They act just like real brothers, so sweet. R.I.P. Mr. Hagman
A great friendship like that is worth more than anything money can buy.. Larry has a great natural sense of comedy. Patrick Duffy has the gift of the gab and is so eloquent.
A major reason the original Dallas worked so well is those two has real chemistry together so it was easy to believe they were real siblings

Very well-put; glad, you took time, to comment.

Larry Hagman and Patrick Duffy are more like brothers than friends.
Yes i agree
This was a delight to watch!
It was really lovely to find out that behind the scenes the actors really got on well and became really good friends, and watching these two together is just so enjoyable.
i looooooved original dallas so much i couldn't believe when they started the new dallas and i'm thrilled people still like it :)
rip larry....you are the best 80s actor ive ever seen on such of a big tv serie like dallas....never been the same again...
J.R. Must be one of the greatest characters ever on screen and Larry Hagman easily made it his own. Nobody else could ever play it like he did.
I’m a new follower of the original Dallas because having been born in 81 I never really knew it but I definitely love the original more than the new one...
I love classy old Dallas!! RIP Mr. Hagman 💕💕
Larry had such a sharp mind, it's such a shame when the body can't carry on anymore.
theyre like brothers for real
Legendary movie, legendary actors!
Great actors,great friends,great memories,Lord rest Larry,
Great job on the reworking of Dallas! Glad to see it's been renewed for 15 more episodes.
How can one not love JR.... how frightful to see him age like this. And how horribly sad he is gone now. What a lovely old “real Texas gent”!
I myself never seen the first Dallas {heard of it} and jumped to watch this one {huge Larry fan}....Must say I'm online watching the older Dallas just to get the relationships down...LOVE IT and so glad they brought Dallas back...=)

Dallas was the best show in the world:X
I learned so much just watching Larry's joie de vivre....his life force and humour.

I hope I look like Patrick when i'm 63
Larry was the man! RIP, SIr!
i bn watching the original Dallas and it is sooooo good i knew Larry was on the new one but i didn't know Patrick and Linda were too now more than ever i want to see it.
Bobby was the moral center of the show and man did they need that. JRs lines though. Pure priceless
larry is an absolute joker in this clip. hilarious wit and sense of humour
Larry Hagman was such a funny dude RIP
When Harry took off his hat, Patrick said "Owh ! too much reflection !"

Did you have seen the Dallas Bloopers here on youtube? They are hilarious!
RIP Legend

2023 and binge watching the original series. Acting is superb. Nothing like it.
Ken Kercheval deserves mentioning. He was the best actor of all of em.
Cliff Barnes character was back too! loved it
Man From Atlantis, and Major Nelson.

Very few actors could ever rock a cowboy better than Larry Hagman. Loved him on Jeannie and the original Dallas.
I would love to see the Airplane! version of "Dallas" as they both mention!
Last line: "You don't get it from Me"
Classic Larry/JR.
Merveilleux acteurs 💖
Larry Hagman and Patrick Duffy .............. PERÚ !
What's the point of Dallas without JR?
I never made any plans on Friday evening. I had to be in front of the TV waiting for Dallas to come on❤
"I called Linda and she said 'do it' and I said 'okay.'"
Nog steeds 2 mooie mannen, ben benieuwd naar de nieuwe serie!!!

I've never watched the original Dallas, but the Dallas on TNT was fast paced.
I really wished this new series would have lasted I think TNT made a huge mistake letting this slip through their fingers the new cast seemed so talented
They should bring back the ORIGINAL Dallas on a nostalgic TV station. They would get fabulous ratings.
