    I came here for your "declutter my 100 year old farmhouse" series all those years back, and I've stayed for the family. Now I know more about farming than I ever thought I would for an Oregon girl. It never hurts to learn more, and I love that this is a *true* family farm.

    Cole please make sure you check your safety bars are the right height when you are doing push ups. God forbid something happened you want to make sure that bar is caught BEFORE possibly hitting your chest. Especially when you are by yourself & have a spotter there. Chest crush injuries can/are fatal. Give little Edward a kiss for me. Absolute miracle & perfect in every way. ❤. Hope you all have a safe & successful harvest season.

      @@tommosher8271historically a bushel has always been a measure of volume but because it’s easier to measure weight than it is volume, there’s standardized weights for each product that determines what a bushel is for that crop
      So a bushed is still a measure of volume, there’s just a way of measuring volume based on weight

    • @tommosher8271
      @tommosher8271 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@dantethunderstone2118 Yeah that's why I said it was. Bins and carts are measured to see how much volume they hold for the most part. Semi's and combines go by weigh and you lose bushels after you dry them and in places that have no way to weigh them as they pick and dry they keep track of the volume if displaces til it's sold and then it's wieghed to determine the amount. It's like logs at the mill they are bought by the pound but sold by the board foot. There's no cut and dry answer to it but for Coles world it's determined by the pound because it's how it done where he lives.

    A Bushel is a measurement of volume. Even though farmers are concerned much more with the weight than the volume. So the 1000 bushel truck will hold the same physical volume of corn and soybeans, even though they weigh different amounts. Same with the grain bins.

    Couple of things I do when I lift weights. Bench: I try not to arch my back so I put my feet up on a chair, makes it a LOT harder. Curls: I call this one the "21's". Put your body flat up against a wall (feet included) with either a full bench bar or curl bar with small diameter weights (dumbbells will work in a pinch). Do 7 reps from full relax position to half curl, 7 reps half curl to full curl, then 7 reps full curls (do all 21 motions without rest). You will feel the burn with that routine. Standing up against the wall when doing this exercise prevents cheating. It prevents the bodies propensity to arch the back when doing curls while standing. Try it, its a lot harder than in looks.

    A bushel is a measurement of volume, that is why each crop weighs a different amount. Some are heavier than others.

    A bushel is a measure of volume equal to 8 dry gallons or 4 pecks. When you list bushels in pounds those are equivalents in weight for different commodities. The volume of a bushel is the same for everything. How much each bushel weights depends totally on what has been put in the bushel. And even your pound numbers for corn or soybeans are only estimates as weight would depend on how much moisture was still in each kernel or bean.

    Wish you all the best, but also strongly suggest fixing your lower back position for rows, before you hurt yourself. You're lower back should be straight, not bent, so that the power comes from mid back and not low back muscles/spine.

    Take some Brake Kleen or lacquer thinner and wipe that sticky stuff off. You will have just throw the rag away afterwards. 🤘🏼🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

    I really appreciate your info & video on the weights. My son is doing the same thing & getting great results. He does tell me about it, but I don't get to see him in action, so I appreciate your video. Thank you ❤
