Before this car I (girlfriend) mainly had 4 cylinder Acura’s. My first turbo v6 and I love it. There is a lot of similarities between this v6 and the out going j series engines.
I didn’t want to spend more money. Honestly it’s loud enough just like that. Plus I wanted to keep the valves functioning. Down here cops don’t really mind the noise but it’s always good to have the option to lower it a bit.
@@TypeS_Rafa gotchu. If you have warranty you don’t have to worry too much about it if anything goes wrong you just take it off before you go to the dealership. If do not have warranty just try to find a dealership or MasterTech that are mod friendly and will take care of you under warranty. But yeah don’t push too hard w it and you’ll be fine tho 😁
@@TypeS_Rafa I've got K-tuner installed which has absolutely changed the vehicle, now I also have JB4 but it just didn't feel like it did much for me but K tuner is a whole nother animal.
It definitely sounds better to me at least. Those little pops that it does from stack sound a little louder. I love it. With the imr downpipe I think it will be perfect.
gonna be buying typs s soon def gonna keep oem muffler for while but def gonna do secondary cat delete so i can pass inspection is there a big diff in sound with atlp secondary vs imr
I have this car in the same color with an aftermarket exhaust & high flow cats it sounds really good but nothing sounds like an Infiniti, it definitely has a distinctive sound along with the Nissan 300Z
With just the atlp?? No I didn’t record the car much back then. It needed more loud. For the price if u need a slightly louder exhaust with out cutting into it. It’s perfect.

Honda/ Acura v6 have always had one of the better sounds compared to others imo. I had a j32a2 so I’m slightly biased but nothing sounds quite like it

Scale 5-6 on a 1-10. Just a little more sore sound without cutting anything off.

Way louder with the imr downpipe. You definitely won’t pass inspection with that.
If interest rates weren’t so bad I’d pick one up

Almost sounds like the Infiniti Q50. But the Q50 sounds much deeper and better.
