    What a legend. He didn't hesitate to speak the truth about any player. Whether it's about Kohli, Dhoni, Ranatunga, Umran Malik, Bumrah, he talked to the point. Respect for this person what he has gone through his career and still ended up the highest wicket taking bowler in Test cricket.

    I went to the same school as this legend.... there are stories of how he would pitch the ball outside the cut strip and the batsman would be left wondering how his middle stump was broken after shouldering arms. Everyone talks about his 800 wickets but to play 133 games bowling the number of overs he had carrying the attack is professionalism at its peak.

  • @AshwinSriram
    @AshwinSriram ปีที่แล้ว +18

    At min 38 Murli talks about how bowling fast doesn't mean everything and that skill is the most important thing for a bowler to develop. I instantly remembered his teammate Chaminda Vaas who used to bowl medium-fast and sometimes he used to bowl even slower than that (with the wicketkeeper standing close to the wickets). Vaas was a skillful bowler who could bowl great cutters, swingers, slower balls, but he rarely crossed the 140 mark.

    Muttiah Muralidharan is a former Sri Lankan cricketer who is widely regarded as one of the greatest bowlers of all time. He is the only bowler to have taken more than 800 wickets in Test cricket, and also holds the record for the most wickets in One Day Internationals (ODIs) with 534. He was known for his mastery of spin bowling, especially the off-break and the doosra, which he invented and perfected. He was also a useful lower-order batsman, with a Test highest score of 67. He retired from international cricket in 2010, after playing for 18 years and representing Sri Lanka in 133 Tests and 350 ODIs. He is currently a coach and mentor for various teams and players around the world.

    Ranveer beyond everything that you put out there in terms of content and quality, here are few things among many that I absolutely like about your style of hosting a podcast:
    1. You make your guests comfortable when they are in any session talking to you, that's a great skill which many of us would like to learn.
    2. You make proper eye-to-eye contact and talk with your guest (speaks about your confidence in any scenario)
    3. You know very well how to navigate a conversation with anyone and your questions are right on point always (in a way you give valuable content for audience and also solve those stuff that's needed for business angle of learning things)
    4. You emphasize on hand gestures while talking, something which also hooks attention (not many do while they talk especially during podcast)
    5. You are deeply concentrated when someone is talking and you absorb the thing being said (this is sign of being attentive in the conversation).
    But besides everything the vibe and the calmness of the show is what always stays as a positive experience with each episode.
    I would love to know more how you built that confidence and would love to hear your thoughts on those side of things.
    Keep going my friend 😊

    Wow it was amazing conversation and explaining how being calm and composed would clear your mind and would not go blank. Coming this from a cricketer is very surprising to me.
    I didn’t feel like it was more of pravachan but rather more practical and easy to resonate.

    Murali sir, India loves sri lanka a lot. I know in politics when it comes to srilanka and China relations and cricket. You may hear and see a little bit of annoying comments from India side. It's like why my brother is taking help from china. But generally India is always behind Sri Lanka. India supports Sri Lanka. But you have to understand in today's times, India has to upgrade its attacking power to safe guard its nation and surrounding nation. Please respect us not because India can attack Sri Lanka like you said. But respect us because we carry the same civilization. We were part of the oldest civilization. I'm also happy to see all of your big cricket players restaurants in Mumbai. The food and interior work is superb..
    I would like to see many more srilankans to come on future Podcasts.😊

    Murali ate Ranveer for breakfast. Kicked out all his meditation BS. And mind reading question was not answered by Ranveer and he dodged it.

    • @anantashrestha296
      @anantashrestha296 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Meditation in simple term is to concentrate your mind in something. Some people meditate on breathing. Some meditate on idol, some meditate in chakras. Do you know that Muralidharan is also actually meditating in the ground by bringing the concentration in specific things. When you practice this consistently, you become peaceful. As he says he used to practice for 3, 4 hours. By doing this he is developing concentration of mind unknowingly although He didn't spare time seperately for meditation practice. But Ranveer is sparing time in practising separately but not as much as Muralidharan. That the difference.
