the way this compilation was compiled makes it sound like one big reunion with the students, where byleth was the professor of all 3 houses. it’s a shame that dedue, edelgard, and hubert dont have parts in this but we all know why

I would guess this mission isn't a thing in Crimson Flower because the Imperial Army already took control of the Monastery by then, and the Church retreated to the Kingdom, so there wouldn't be thieves there in the first place.
That's exactly why. But in emotional weight, hunting by daybreak is better.
Just put thieves from in the kingdom who have infiltrated the monastery and boom, hunting by daybreak
God seeing everyone so happy to see the professor. Makes me regret having to had kill most of them in my GD playthrough

So Crimson Flower route didn't have this because they captured the monastery after the invasion and it became their base. What bothers me is why in other 3 routes, Edelgard didn't bother making a fortification on the captured monastery? Instead, she just let it go in ruins.
Yeah that's a pretty big plot hole.
This may be very late, but I believe it's because on every other route besides crimson flower, they already captured Rhea, so they did not need the monastery anymore, as having Rhea captured was what kept those who slither in the dark at bay.
Love how Bernie is the only master class. I mean, I get it she's easy to get to bow knight, but I'm surprised Lysithea wasn't a gremory already

@@fluffybunsmcjugnuggets3441 Like I know you two are memeing but I'm not. The only big downside to dark knight is how difficult it is to get her all the stats for it while still giving her enough faith for warp. If you plan ahead from day one, or use new game+, this downside becomes non-existent.
The question then becomes is 1 more warp use better than slightly better reason damage, higher movement, and the incredibly powerful skill canto. Lysithea with mounted move and canto combined with her high late-game range allows her to play much more ballsy and aggressively because she can position much better after attacking a unit, which helps negate her terrible enemy phase.
I find the answer is no, the extra warp use is not better.
I love this map as an introduction to the war phase. Too bad I didn’t play it in Crimson Flower.
3:33 This is one of few times during the first half of Azure Moon where Dimitri briefly snaps out of his Broken Vengeful State. Took two years for me to realize this.

Edelgard: We can't let anyone else run off with potential keys to our advantage! Cut off the bandits and block the gates!
Edelgard: We'll need to split into two squadrons. If we surround the north and south, we should be able to draw back their leader.
Edelgard: Secure the exit! Don't let him escape!
Edelgard: I believe that's all of them so far. Let's retreat before more arrive!
I'm a bit disappointed that Edelgard doesn't have this mission. I'll pitch in with her and Hubert's quotes.
Then there is the Crimson flower route. No Hunting by Daybreak. Lame
Have you played this level on Maddening? It is in truth a blessing in disguise.
If you go by that route, the monastery is occupied by the imperial troops instead of thieves, so no need to fight.

@@dylanreeves4339 I have played it on silver snow maddening, so it was a real challenge. basically no Lord and stuck with seteth, which at this point you had access to for 1 week. I also had many underleveled students of the class, so it was pretty hard, yes.

It's kinda crazy to think about how most of the cast from Aggretsuko's English dub also share the same voice actors with Three Houses. Mainly The Black Eagles...

I have a question, and I’m not asking this because I’m trying to start a fight with fans but I’m genuinely curious. I keep seeing comments and videos all over the place saying that Edelgard is the most popular character in this game and that the Black Eagles are the most popular House. However, I’ve seen multiple (and I mean _multiple_ ) online polls about this game where the Blue Lions has consistently ranked as the number 1 House, and Dimitri has either topped character polls or is in the top 2. Generally if Dimitri isn’t number 1 then Claude is number 1. Black Eagles generally does not do well in these polls and neither does Edelgard.
So, why does everyone keep saying that Edelgard is the most popular character and that Black Eagles/Crimson Flower is the most popular route when there’s a lot of evidence contradicting this?
Edelgard won the Fire Emblem Heroes Choose Your Legends 4 poll by a wide margin. She's the main Lord of the game: Edge of Dawn is about her, she plays a proper role in every route.
There can be multiple online polls showing that Blue Lions or Golden Deer are more popular, but it is all dependent on who votes. And given the ending of Blue Lions, I can't really say that people would have a good view of Edelgard coming out of it.
@@StormwindGames Edelgard plays a major role in every route because she started the war that consumes all three countries. And it’s not just Blue Lions that portray Edelgard negatively - she’s the villain in all routes except for Crimson Flower.
Also, you’re only partially right about Choose Your Legends 4. Edelgard only placed first in the Women’s Division. Dimitri placed first in the Men’s Division.
@@Mia-dt3gl Yes, she is a "villain" of the other routes. But Golden Deer and Silver Snow aren't about fighting Edelgard or they'd end when she dies. Blue Lions is the only route that really makes her out to be a monster.
As for CYL4, Edelgard got 74,617 votes and Dimitri got 69,448 votes. That's a fairly large amount when you consider that everyone could only vote once a day.
@@StormwindGames She’s not a complete monster in the Blue Lions route anyway. And one poll doesn’t compete with countless other polls that doesn’t rank Edelgard or her House nearly as high. I can only conclude that the narrative of Edelgard and the Black Eagles being the most popular was started just by someone saying that they were so, and it was taken as gospel.
@@Mia-dt3gl That one poll is, as far as I've seen, the only poll done by Intelligent Systems. So if there's a poll to negate the others, it would be that one. Regardless, you can take the idea however you want, but considering the divide I've seen, both in my comments and across the internet, it really just comes down to which route people started on.

Sylvain has a different conversation with female byleth. Cant believe this one chapter was better designed than crimson flower xd.
Sylvain is the only character whose conversations notably change with the professor outside of his supports. "Looking Gorgeous as ever professor" is what I think he said when I switched to ByLass for my Blue Lions playthrough.

Otherwise, everyone showing up was awesome all routes (except for Edelgard's).
Petra is explained by the fact that she immediately went back to Brigid for those five years
It was a huge dissapointment to me that the CF route didnt have this battle

As someone who already finished all the paths in the game on maddening, I have to say this is by far the worst map in the game. You are forced to use the units the map gives you, you can't shop or prepare for the battle, and if you are not prepared you need to restart probably from the map before the timeskip, the one from the battle at the monastery. I know people who had to restart the whole game because they used the same save slot and then they couldn't go back to prepare. That is honestly bad planning from the designers of the game.
So yeah, CF not having this map is a blessing. Worst map in the game and one of the worst maps in the history of fire emblem in general;

It’s nothing exciting. Literally it’s just you have a reunion scene with Edelgard, and then you meet with everyone else afterwards
Reasons why Crimson Flower is just a mistake.

I disagree, CF in Maddening has the problem of needing to cover the same ground in levels in much less time.
Don't get me wrong this map is a pain if you didn't prepare but it is someting you can plan in anticipation, something that you can't do easily in CF because limited XP.
Even if not properly prepared, it can be doable, even with Dimitri the non-flier "lord" since he usually has enough HP to take a hit.
Go south to protect Mercie and Annette and go from there if you are playing Azure Moon.

there's 3 students that appear in a spot that no enemy can reach those students being

with this data you can focus on training students that appear in dangerous spots so you that when playing with the challenge of not letting a single die this becomes more easy but i only would use this strategy when playing church because...
@@LCardosed92 it seems like you dont miss a chance to defend crimson flower dude . Someone who just started the game wont be able to recruit other students like to fill a team and replaced them for their house students completely . How are you not going to prepare when you can even win the whole map only using byleth and the lord . Your weapons are full repaired and they give all of your units 1 or two levels more . More prepared you cant be .

Adam Rhodes you are mistaken, unless you are talking about the silver snow route. In crimson flower its just edelgard reuniting you with your class directly in the monastery, you skip this mission
