Damian, the plastic of the intake pipe crests was fried, as in carbonized. I held the new heat shield on a new pipe using stainless steel zip ties from Amazon, not nylon ones.

Good day. My XK8 coupé from 2001 shows a too low level, even it is completely filled. I was looking how to replace the sensor. Seems to be I have to replace the whole tank, right?
Is there a way to check whether it is really necessary to replace the whole tank?
Thank you in advance for your appreciated help

George, no need to replace the whole tank as the sensor is a separate item fitted to the tank. Will need to partially remove the tank to access to it. See the video link below. Hope that helps, regards Damian

My breather hose, the one going under the intake manifold needs replacing. Do you have any tips? Thanks

Joseph, not really as its fairly straight forward. I am a little confused about it going under the manifold? What type and year is your car? regards Damian

There is no breather pipe going under the intake manifold. Part number please.
