Just found your channel and you are brilliant 😁 have a nice Grimdark style that isn't super "dirty" looking love it. Nice muted tones mostly more like the older artworks.

Im trying to learn how to do art detail to this level, slowely getting all of the supplies and what not needed but one thing im failing to grasp is how do you decide what color to use for a given section? Like what makes you decide to use one shade of red over another?
Honestly it's just experience. I have a basic idea of what I want from painting many minis and I adapt my idea to the model. However there are some ways to get better at it in a hurry.
A color wheel will help with some of the crazy color combos and contrasts and give you an idea or two.
Priming pieces of sprues to use as test dummies' for colors and such is another.
If you are worried about ruining a center piece try it on sprues or a non important model to test stuff and colors on.

Imagine buying 12 year old FW garbage lol. That sculpt looked terrible back then.
I paid $60 for it and it has a wicked charm and aesthetic to it that is missing from the current nurgle line.
