It is AMAZING how deeply you sleep despite the noise. I believe it harks back to our primitive ancestors. Theres something primal and soul soothing about being outside in a atorm, but cozy in a small shelter, cooking food and simply BEING.
With this kind of rain, a tarp & tent set up is mandatory - unless your goal was to sit out in the rain for several hours! There really isn't anything else like camping during heavy rain! The fresh air and smells, and the wonderful feel of refreshing stray rain drops is total joy.
Definitely 100%! Sleeping while it’s pouring rain outside while your all tucked in nice and cozy in the tent is nothing short of heaven for me! The smell of fresh rain is beautiful too.

Thank you for bringing us camping with you. 🥰 It seems logical that it would be better to set the tarp up first like you did and then put the tent up under it so you would stay out of the rain while setting up the rest of the camp. Now, THAT's some heavy rain happening. I like the tarp set-up over the tent and that's a very nice tent you have, there.

One of the main reasons i like your channel. You are really out there the whole time. I see a lot of channels out there where it looks like they go out there. Set the tent up and leave. They then shoot all the footage probably inside a building or backyard and insert the rain sounds. They never show the outside of the tent during the rain the door is always closed. Another thing is they are bringing food that would spoil and make them sick if they hiked all that way out in the middle of nowhere. This includes eggs and no egg case to hold them. But you always pack realistic items. Food that can keep for more than a day.

I live in an arid desert and we don't get this kind of rain. We have mostly scattered showers that lasts a few minutes to a couple of hours. Thank you for sharing this wonderful experience.

Best camping video I've seen. No banging on cups and cans and cutting firewood. Just plenty of rain sounds. But how do you deal with mosquitoes, scorpions, and snakes in the tent?

I always get clean area to prevent dangerous animals come. Only small insects usually get inside
