As a french guy, I was supporting ManU when Cantona was playing there. Then Arsenal when he retired from football. Until Henry left for Barcelona.
After, it was not the same, and Arsène Wenger had to manage the refund of the new stadium and couldn't build a decent team until his departure. But the sad thing is both Arsenal and Manu fight spirit has left a long time ago.
Been an Arsenal fan since I was a kid. My fathers team became mine, 27 now but when I was 13, Henry was always the number I got on my kit in JD Sports, I practiced in the rain and snow to try and do freekicks like him or even just crosses in general as I played mid. Absolute legendary status for life.
I was nearly in tears when he scored im the comeback game against Leeds. It was a magical moment.

@@Minifliek This is hard! Some stubborn britts will say Alan Shearer, Aguero can be said when we talk strikers only, other players that comes to mind are Rooney that was a BEAST and did everything on the pitch.
But like you say Iceman and Henry was magic, they share the invincible season that is hard to beat and Henry scored (i think) 30 league goals that season!

when i was a lil lad playing ball in a sunday league team, thierry was one of our main looked-up-to players. the arsenal team with henry, denis burgkamp, patrick viera, & those players right there, those were the golden ages of arsenal. absolutely unstoppable.
Thierry Henry was the leader of the Arsenal 2000,2005 when in on of these years they won the title without a lose in englan championship. Amazing striker.
Thierry Henry and Ronaldinho are by far my favourite living legends of Football, they are the reason why I started to play and love Football in the first place, they are part of my childhood.. ☯️✌

Found you guys with one of your music reviews but THIS was the treat. Theirry Henry is my favorite soccer player of all time. I'm American and started following Arsenal in the early 2000s "French invasion" after France's '98 World Cup win. I've been in love with the man ever since. SPEED, incredible skill and his willingness to try the audacious were some of his best qualities. He was the personification of testosterone gone wild but with grace.... a true stallion on the pitch.

I watched this guy at his peak in the EPL. It was truly a joy and privilege to watch. Something i will never forget, a human at the peak of his craft. He terrorised teams. I've even witnessed oppossing fans clap his brilliance im games. Imo the greatest EPL player of all time.

Titi was magnificent, and he would get away with stuff that other players, however good they were, would not try away from the training ground. The keepy-up stuff he does starting at 4:44 is simply not done in real matches. First, because you can lose possession easily, and second, it's disrespectful to other players. If someone did that to me, and I'm far from a good player on my best day, I would foul him hard and make him remember good manners. But Titi was special. I was there at supporter's end at the RBA with my then 7 year old daughter when he scored the goal at 7:02. We were on the upper deck and he scored right in front of us. His best days were over by then, but he was still the man.
As an English man I have seen him play hundreds of times and I have to say Thierry is ridiculous his skills are plain to see I'm a Fulham fan but I watched arsenal when they went all season without defeat Bergkamp also such top notch players. Such a sublime team.

Usually soccer players can't run as fast with the ball as they do without it. On top of all his crazy touch skills, the thing that made Henry so terrifying was that he could keep full speed while dribbling with the ball. It was basically unfair to defenders. You guys should check out Dennis Bergkamp next.

Henry was a key player in the French national team. Very powerful player. He and Trezeguet his team mate were always together.
That goal against Real man... I remember going absolutely MENTAL when he scored that !! It was the semi-finals of the Champions League, we'd drawn 0-0 with them at Highbury & we'd been under a lot of pressure in the second leg then boom, the king picks up the ball, annihilates about $100 million worth of defenders and slots away the only goal of the tie to take us into the final. Absolute scenes boys, many a frosty cold one was drunk I can assure you :D

He had speed, strength, touch, vision, skills and most of all swag. For 4 or 5 years he was too good, on another level. Wasn't until Messi and Ronaldo came and did it for 15 years each that made Henry's prime seem normal, but he really wasn't he was amazing.

I don't watch football as much as I used to so I have no idea if the record was broken but it was something that almost never happens in professional football especially with how unpredictable the sport can be.

This reminds me of my middle school - high school days. Real Madrid and Arsenal have always been my clubs and actually my first jersey was an Arsenal Henry home jersey with the 02 logo on the front. He's always been one of my favorite players especially cus of his speed. Watchin him just jet past so many defenders blew my mind as a young teen and since hockey is my other favorite sport he reminded me of Scott Niedermayer from my favorite team the Devils cus he was fast ASF too.

That guy, won the SOCCER WORLD CUP, WHEN HE WAS ONLY 18 YEARS OLD, WITH FRANCE! The only other player, who won a world cup, younger, was the king PELÉ with Brazil, he was only 17)! And, he's, still, the guy who did the most goals, in our national team, France! And, in London, as other guys told you, you can see, statues, of him, in the ARSENAL QUARTER! Which is incredible, because, French, and English, are hating each others ! 😅😅😅😅😅 But, he's a legend in London, in the Arsenal Football Club! It's the man, who did the most goals in that team's history! (in England,mostly,of the teams, were created in the 19th century guys!).... That video, didn't showed the most beautiful goals he did! If, you want to see another French legend, of soccer, look at Zinedine Zidane! A monster! Or the best of the world, the god, Diego, Armando, Maradona! 😅✌️
