GAS most likely nope as i think they will retain loyang and take sengkang west and maybe tampines or hougang. Maybe they want to concentrate at the east north east region for centralised support and efficient management. Tower transit now became accident prone company compared to GAS.
GAS taking Sengkang then what about service 51 & 151?😢Dead mileage?51A?
Can 51A scrap? Because you have 143M tho
GAS will focus on Loyang first as its contract would end soon, maybe when they retain Loyang, they would focus on other bus packages
It’s part of the stabilization phase. Actually, Singapore is a lucrative market. I don’t think any operator will voluntarily leave the market.
With the regulations & cost is the reason why any bus operators would wanna give up on this bus contracting model
Especially when LTA favours their own brothers SBST & SMRT
This is what I predict for the future and upcoming packages.
2024:Seletar>TTS
2026:Sengkang-Hougang & Choa Chu Kang-Bukit Panjang>GAS
2026:Loyang & Bulim>TTS
2026:Sembawang-Yishun>SBST
2026:Woodlands & Bedok>SMRT
2027:Tampines,Serangoon-Eunos,Clementi,Bishan-Toa Payoh & Bukit Merah all retained by SBST.
Jurong Region Line>SBST
Cross Island Line>SMRT
well think Hong Kong and Spain will secure bus packages.. LTA want to try out new fresh images one.. 😅😮
GAS will leave once loyang is up for bidding…If NEX holdings(National Express/ALSA) bag seletar then we know who will take over Loyang
Definitely not. GASG so far has been doing a very consistent job with Loyang and had been on a spree taking in new buses. Not participating in Seletar may be its strategy to concentrate on the east and northeast areas hence it is unlikely to leave the industry and may even go on to win Sengkang and perhaps Tampines or Bedok.
@@ltankk Sengkang will have an extension again trust me.
I may think the JRL is to SBST. Another package might be also for SBST.
However, I feel that the BCM and bus package system is not viable as Singapore is small. not like London or Hong Kong.
I agree on the last part. Looking at the way things are turning out now, perhaps the older days when it's just SBST and SMRT were much better, all LTA needs to do is to just buy buses and lease them to SBST and SMRT. Sometimes if it isn't broken, don't fix it.
@@ltankk Feel just let TTS and GAS secure 3 package each while 2 for SMRT and 6 for SBST..SBST & SMRT both run rail business so no need to much
i guess this is kind of a issue with Bus Contracting Model. Might as well revert to the older model and allowing foreign operators. GAS being not interested in any package just reinforces how much tougher to stay and maintain its sole package. LTA tighter regulations?
I don't think GASG is completely uninterested at all in any package, rather, what I see is that it is a strategic decision to focus on the east and northeast areas instead of further west. The company is on a spree of leasing additional buses lately and tries to make its current operations better before making the leap into Sengkang or even Tampines or Bedok.
@@ltankkFor now, it seems like they are focusing on loyang first, then when they win loyang again, they would bid for other regions
@@ltankkbedok Tampines Serangoon-Eunos Clementi & Bishan-Toa Payoh all will extension of 3 years on average
@@josephinthechickensoup123who knows LTA might award them both Loyang & CCK-BPJ
Nice video! I do not think bus operators from other countries will be willing to participate in the bus industry in Singapore. It seems to be difficult for foreign bus operators to even secure a bus package in Singapore. Also, even if an operator does get a package, they still have to adhere to many local regulations which could be challenging for them to manage and survive in the industry.
Is service 298 a townlink service?
Not anymore
298 not even a townlink service to begin
But service 298 serves northern and southern part of tampines
298 also serves tampines mrt before going nth/sth so i think 298 is a townlink service based on the "372 is not townlink" video
@@SBS6806D i agree with the admin , 298 is definitely not an townlink service after all
Definitely not SBST, SMRT nor GASG 👀🌚
Heh i outdated, i need to go back home and edit that out zzz
Tampines and Bedok packages should have just combined
Also , sv 178 , 187 , 925 , 960 , 961 , 962 , 964 and all woodlands feeders should have join Mandai while all Yishun tower services should join Seletar instead
96 and Clementi feeders should join Clementi package as well
Mampos. So you're saying Woodlands Region will be gone is it? Ridiculous
That logic wouldn't make sense since Woodlands owns Woodlands. It's like saying Mandai own Yishun but got bunch of SBST svc. But for Woodlands, I am sure they will chase after you if you put most of the Woodlands svc to Mandai and the frequency will be too poorer. I am sure Woodlands residents will make noise and shout at you. Also, Tower Yishun to SBST Yishun, the word "Mandai" is referring to Sembawang Yishun and some of Woodlands. This kind of allocation that you did, it's even worst than what we have right now. You can say this to Woodlands and Yishun. They will make noise
@@Ruffytheboyrelax im just suggesting here
@@Yyyy12311Oh ok
But it just my opinion anyway
However, I rather break down All Mandai svc into Half²
Meaning, the half of the bus svc will go to Woodlands while the other half of bus svc (which is Yishun) will go to Seletar (Simpang)
@@Ruffytheboy sounds better also , then Mandai depot can utilise Woodlands package
