To me, this is Jimmy Buffet's best song. This was actually played at Dale Earnhardt's memorial service.

From "Off To See The Lizard "which in my opinion is one of Jimmy's finest and most underated albums. This song and album always puts me right there on the overseas highway on the way to the keys, which is where this great album was the soundtrack to my second trip there. As I type this, Jimmy is recovering from his fall off a stage in Australia and is doing fine..and I can't wait to hear the funny song he writes about that. We love ya Jimmy, be careful out there!

Something about the album makes the selection of songs stand out more both separately and together. All the songs belong together, no less. Everlasting Moon was supposed to be on the album but was shoved onto the box set instead as a live performance. Adding that song would make the album one of the best period imo.

Of all the albums and music Jimmy ever produced this is my all time favorite. For reasons I can't really explain " Take Another Road" is the one that's affected me the most. And I've been listening to his tunes for 40+ years.

Sorry I'm late, but the other song is Paradise Line by the video game called Mother, or Earthbound. Never played the game, but I always liked that song. I came back to this, as Jimmy Buffett just recently died. This is my favorite of his songs. Remembering him, as I do.

I'm not going to write squat about the "good ol' days", but here, there's still some magic left. Take the best with you and ignore those who don't get it. They'll be following you too soon in that sympathy anyway. I do wish Jimmy still did this kind of work but I guess I'll live with what and when he did.
