EXCELLENT for a beginner. Do the "pins" on the cord have to match the "ports" on the back of the computer? The blue has a different number of pins than the white cable. Clear as mud right?

If you have a newer monitor it probably doesn't support the green cable, the new one will look similar to a usb but slanting up at the top like this

Depends on the computer. Most will come with at least a power cable. The video cable(s) usually come with the monitor.

Did you make sure you plugged in the video cable to the correct port? If your computer has a graphics card and on-board graphics, you need to plug in to the graphics card. Otherwise, its hard to help without more details.

I am not literit about computers. A Boss built Me a Desktop. Tower, dual screens, cd/movie burner and installed an abundance of memory, enough to run a company. I really need someone to tell Me that since I have a WiFi router in my living room, can I get another WiFi router for another room and plug my desktop into it. Please help.

If your computer doesn't have wifi built in, you just buy a USB wifi adapter and plug it into your computer. No need to buy another wifi router. That just creates more potential confusion.
