My sledge on a carrier on it’s way to my house. I swear I was regretting it before this video. With the amount of videos telling me otherwise. They had the kraton solid and sledge breaking out the box. All I care about is to slide it and wheelie it. I’m broke where my heart will sink to even intent a jump of anything over 5 feet 😂. Love that you just called it instead of eating around the bush re this vs Kraton exb. I own the exb and enjoy it but it’s obvious to me just looking at a few videos that it’s built better than my exb. It’s definitely on my list to buy, just like my Kristin isn’t on the list to sell! 🤗

buy a tekno truggy. The only upgrade tekno needs is a metal servo horn. It drives, handles and jumps even better and at the end with some medium priced electronics its even cheaper ;-) but im positively suprised about the sledge, nice big sends!!

Completely agree , that ESC is week , already digging out a spektrum to put in , but I sure hate taking out the warranty early after purchase , but need for speed !! Thanx again !
Three places to go for a real durability test: Kevin Talbot, Rich Duperbash and THUNDER RC. Boom!

@@blaketundra3216 Well honestly the higher you go in the air the easier it is to land on it's wheels if that makes sense. It's just you have all kinds of times to correct it. And I'm not knocking thunder at all I'm just saying it's easier to control as you have alot more time for adjustment in air.
I use those youme 6500 4s' in my xmaxx, they seem pretty good for the price! Ran them on my electric gokart too! Lol

The sledge was a death ramp killer. It caught some serious hang time, bro! The thing is a mad BEAST of awesomeness. I like the blue, but I'm going for the black and red of course when I get mine.
I thought for sure the death ramp was gonna kill it. I didn't think it would hold up. But it did. Traxxas might want to think of using that Sledge body restraint system on all it's vehicles. I do believe they may have found the "magic bullet" to keep all the bodies from popping off... maybe?

Great stuff again. Looks a fantastic truck. However I had my Kraton EXB out this morning and that thing is a beast itself. If I had the money, I'd have both, but really doesn't seem worth shelling out another 750.00gbp for this.
That's my thought as well. I have a exb and a team corally punisher. No sense in buying this at almost 900$

I still don't know what to think about the Sledge. It survives these massive jumps well. But they're all landed on the wheels. In other videos I'm also seeing it breaking badly from relatively tame hits.
On the wheels is how it should be landed, any other way and it’s on you if it breaks…

@@hayden199516 I land 99% of my jumps on the wheels (check my vids). I still need an RC that holds up well when I don’t. Battery or motor lead disconnections, LVC in the air, and trying new, harder tricks will inevitably lead to bad hits. My rig survives hits most RC’s would not. Many RC’s will hold up to on the wheels landings, but Traxxas is charging $800 on the premise that the Sledge is an extra durable basher. It should not break from tame hits. At this price it is competing against rigs with durability upgrades that WILL survive big hits.
The question is if you had to pick between the Sledge and the Tailon with one would you pick 🤔

Traxxas is nice you got lucky it didn’t break just look at all the other videos it broke just like all the others.. I do like sledge for bashing. Traxxas did good with this one but it is not the best out there 😎
I'm sitting here reading the comments and i will say this as an owner of both Traxxas and Arrma products, one of them is even the "Extreme Bash" model but ive had more issues with my 3 Arrmas than I have had with any of my Traxxas RCs and the Arrmas are the newer products on my shelf. And in case anyone is wondering because they probably think im biased towards Traxxas but i have the Arrma Outcast 8s, Arrma Kraton EXB, and the Arrma Typhon. The Traxxas products are the UDR, Revo 3.3, TRX4 and the Summit. I prefer Losi over Traxxas and Arrma myself. To each their own though.

Don't forget you had to add Spectrum electronics to make it 'better than a Kraton'. I really want to like this Truck but so far from what I've seen I'd get a Fireteam before the Sledge. It flew off the Death Ramp really well, great bash bro 👌

All they have to do is make it a roller or a kit and it would be perfect. But Traxxas won't.
Traxxas ESCs are limited to 125A because of 5000mah 25C lipo packs. Secondly there is no punch setting to talk about.
Do you think it’s worth that price though? I won’t deny it does look like a good truck but I just feel that price is ridiculous. In my opinion I just think there’s better stuff out there for that amount of money In that same class

One short run and it's the best ever? Run it for a few weeks then do head to head vs Kraton and XTR.. Make the assessment after that IMO..I've seen many small channels have this thing break from small bad landings and cartwheels..Driveshafts bent,rear diff issues, arms snaping in half ,chassis bends,tires ripping and of couse ESC issues..I'm not hating on it..It's nice and every rc breaks but I just feel you crowned it after one run in all

You know you can bump your bec to 7.4 with That servo right maybe it'll be a little quicker than from what I've watched I haven't seen anybody rip out the stock ESC to be able to pump it to 7.4 and exocaged just did a tear down of the Sledge and kraton exb and the Sledge diffs made the exb look like a little 1/10 scale and this isn't even an exb imagine if Traxxas did an exb 😱😆 food for thought

Traxxas electronics are always a let down. At that price point it should be insanely powered and let people tone it down or power it up.
Arrma the best ! M2C is AWESOME !!! 🤯🤯🤘🏻🤘🏻👏🏻👏🏻 traxass is différent but the sledge is pure copy arrma ☹️☹️
