I hope M2C is coming out with some gears for it! I've shredded the rear ring and pinion, and just yesterday the spur and pinion are completely destroyed. Durability wise the truck is great. Unfortunately the metal used on the gears is complete bull shit.
@@jive7777 GPM makes a hardened and machined 4140 steel spur gear (52t only that I know of)...it’s a little pricey at about 3x the cost of a stock spur, but well worth it, IMO. I got their spur, as well as 4140 6mm CVD’s at all 4 corners and 6mm 4140 center dog bones. Traxxas already makes machined ring and pinion gears for the diff’s as well as machined pinion gears for the motor. All combined is a nice bulletproof setup.

I have done a bash comparison video between the Sledge and the Talion. Both trucks are amazing but I would have to say that the Sledge is even tougher than the Talion! Sledge is a beast!🏆🏆🚀⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️

Yeah bro M2C has really stepped up their game with all these amazing parts! I need to rebuild my Outcast 8s from the ground up. It is currently sitting in the rc grave yard completely in pieces 🤣🤣🤣I’m looking at about $500 bucks to get it running again

That's incredible. Thing was completely FLAT and bent at like 60 degrees on that huck to pavement. Some kind of witchcraft goes into making these plastic parts, I swear!
@@thunderrc crazy thing too is that despite nothing plastic breaking, none of the heavy components (like the motor can.. jeez that force that thing just withstood), blows my mind how robust this stuff is. I break more stuff on my Rustler jumping 1/10 that height and landing on plush grass! Which says more about the Rustler and less about the Sledge hahaha
Bought a sledge. Its a lot of fun, but the foam fell apart on the tires after 5 runs and i keep loosing a screw pin. The screw pin is $3.50 for a pack of 6, but traxxas wants $65 to ship them to Canada. I asked their support about just throwing it in an envelope, and they told me if i didn't want to pay the $65 that i should go search the field for the screw. They had a lot of smart ass responses. Completely unreasonable, support is terrible and listen to the other reviewers who say they won't buy traxxas ever again.
