An idea for an episode. I would love to hear you talk about what you learned in this project including but not limited to do's and don'ts of restoring a mini, what things you would do differently if you were to do it over again, tips and tricks you learned along the way, things you learned from your followers that were not printed anywhere. Basically a how to restore a mini for a first timer. You can actually put it in a book and publish it. I bet it will do well.
Its 100% happening dude! Im going to do an hour long video from start to finish. when the mini is complete... Apologies for only just seeing this but the comments have been mental lateley haha!
been a while since ive been able to watch your vlogs dude, work has been killer, night shifts of 14hours and sleep in the day but took two days out to go and get the new car (yes a Bini no im not sorry xD) interior is boss man, optimise did mine and my carpets and boot liner etc for ruby ! cracking company ! great stuff dude much luv MMV
The interior is starting to look very nice. Reminds me of the same colour sceam used by Ferarri, which isn't a bad thing. Top girlfriend who brings you gifts like a KAD short shifter....she is a keeper. Happy Birthday by the way.
Lol I think Tooney had one to many to drink there haha! And dude your interior... WOW!!! Enjoy Rome mate and happy birthday from me, just don't have a repeat of what happened to Alex! Enjoy yourself.
Optimise Automotive hahaha! Had to get something out 😉 too many videos stacking up now 😂 can’t wait until you see the finished result! It looks amazing and everyone has commented on how good it looks 👌🏻
Tom, That interior is superb! or should that be sick in young dudes language lol. Thanks for the shout out at the end! btw have a great time in Italy it‘s a wonderful country. Chow Dave
Thanks Dave! Im really impressed with it as well! and no probs on the shout out! thought you could do with a moral boost after those trolls from the other day :)
@@TomShorrock Did your Mini come with Suffolk seats? The one I'm trying to get has Cobra bucket seats without the headrest, but for aesthetic and safety reason I'd like to find a pair of Suffolks for the front. Thoughts?
Tom I think I saw this in a Mini magazine the other week? Who did your seat recovering? - I've bought leather retrim, and am trying to do it myself but theres 2 rivets in the seat in the hinge of the reclining seat, and I dont know how or if I should remove them so - am looking to send them off to someone to recover for me. The mini looks great!
How do I get to see all of the videos on the complete restoration right from the start of the series ? I have been watching individual videos for info and inspirations but as I have just bought a real barn find and am starting from the beginning it would be good to watch your story, trials, tribulations and successes from the start. Great vids!
I know this is an old video ,but i am just following you as i do mine now [ if that makes sense] where did you get your carpets from , i have watched several times but cannot see a name on the package, keep up the good work , thanks
Is it the video colouring or does the brown leather interior clash with the body colour? That shade of brown goes better with white or even certain shades of silver/grey. Colour matching can be a nightmare - artificial/natural light, but the red and brown does not look right?
Hey I’m doing a mini restorations myself and I’ve got it to the bare shell and curious how much optimise charge roughly for an interior as I’m only in my teens and wanting to keep it with budget Keep up with the work hope to see you in next years london to Brighton
Can someone please explain how to remove the top part of the dashboard (the one he installs at 8:45). I remove the 3 nuts underneath so it's moving but I don't manage to take it out 🥺 I tried to rotate it to the top and out but I don't have enough grip on it to really do that. I tried moving the front part upwards so that the bolts get out but then it's stuck against the windscreen.
Lovely car. But I’m surprised to see people drinking Budweiser in Europe. It’s considered piss beer here. I wonder what imported beer we drink in the US that’s considered trash in other countries?
I my friend 👍👍amazing work and choice. Its possible to give me more information about the interior?? I want put the same in my mini. Its amazinggg. Im from portugal👍👍 hug

Hi dude! speak to Andy at optimise and he will give you a good price if you mention my name :)

I hate the vents in my mini too! Always wanted to try and change them!!
I may have found a solution ;) hahah
Total Car Reviews I would definitely order them if you made them!! happy birthday by the way bud!!

Huddersfield spares
Happy Birthday
Thanks Mate :)
Interior is amazing,
Do you have a contact for where you had the interior made?
Looks good. I'd be interested in an air vent adapter kit. Any update on it yet? Cheers 🤙
in talks with my supplier dude! just crunching numbers hopefully will know soon :)
@@TomShorrock cool! I've actually bought the vents, so I'll definitely be keen 🤙
@@TomShorrock no feedback so far? I've been trying to reach you with no luck so far..
@@TomShorrock an btw.. i would buy them of course..
Tom, what carpet set was this? Is it one of the moulded sets from Mini Spares, or a non-moulded one that's more budget (£40/50)??
Non moulded set huddersfield spares dude

You’re the first to say this, everyone else loves it and I must admit it looks better in person
Hey Tom, sorry if it's been mentioned before, but where did you get your carpet from? Thanks a ton!

Its not cheap dude,... but my advice to you is try and stash little bits of extra money away for when the day comes :)
isnt there a plastic liner missing from the door thats goes under the doorcards?
Thanks dude! and there wasnt one when i took them off so I assumed I didnt need one
Nice
Thanks MAte
I have a 93 classic mini I would love to get the kit for the air vent please direct me to get them!!!?
By the way your meeting is a piece of art love it!!
thankyou so much!
When’s part 2 going up?
Apologies Ive just seen this :) but its now currently up :)

If it’s been in for years they are swine to get out, I removed the windscreen to take mine out
@@TomShorrock Thanks, that's what I understood… and would like to avoid 😉
Id like to buy a set of your airvents / kit?
Don’t use those door card clips, I had trouble fitting my door cards with them. Get clips which fit old fords, work a treat.
I got them to fit perfect dude by modifying them :)
