Compared to all the other "Farm: content on youtube, yours is the most realistic. "The animals are fine, they're not in danger, and I'm keeping an eye out" BOOM done.
I must confess...in a sea of "Horse/animal experts online," I was skeptical when I started watching your channel. I have been so pleasantly surprised that you do not dull your audience with such bullshit about Turmeric curing everything or how singing to your horse or leaving the radio on helps keep them mentally balanced like...the amount of utter garbage on the internet is so overwhelming. Honestly thank you. For sharing accurate and practical REAL advice to people who may need it or more importantly "at least to me," their animals. I rode horses for just over 23 years before my absolute favorite ones had the audacity to get old and die....stomping my heart to death with them. Thank you for bringing back fond memories and not tainting it with bullshit.
I'm a woman from far far away, Singapore to be exact, and though I have no desire to own a farm, I love your videos of you just doing farm chores! It's oddly therapeutic watching all the animals and seeing the beautiful scenery! Of course I love your drawing videos too, plus we get to see Rocky when you're inside!
I can’t wait to see the progress with the barn! We have two donkeys and some chickens on our farm. A standard donk and one miniature donk. The mini is the naughtiest animal we have ever had and we acquired him when he was a baby. This is our first experience with equines so it was really hard to learn how to train them. He loves to give little nibbles whenever he can grab a piece of clothing. He’s super cute but will also steal food from his big brother when we aren’t looking so he requires constant supervision during feeding/vitamin time 🙄
Baby donkeys can be such menaces! I was lucky Jelly has had babies and is a really good teacher, so she has corrected Junebug on a lot of her naughty behavior.
Hi Alison, just wanted to say thank you for making these videos. I struggle quite a lot with nightmares and night terror and falling asleep to these videos has helped a lot. Not to put any pressure on you at all, just wanted to show appreciation. Best.
I couldn't do it. Having grown up in a city of 5+ million and now living in a small town of 150,000 I would be lost on a farm. You and Hunter have my respect.
You're so cute, all bundled with your red nose sticking out. You treat your animals so well and pay close attention to their health history. You're a kind person and encourage me to be the same. Thanks for the effort you put into your channel content.
I’m so glad you’ll be uploading more videos in 2025!! Your farm tour videos are so relaxing. I will watch every second. Also I love your fluffy hood!! I think I need one.
2:30 That is the most rooster-looking rooster I've ever seen, like the quintessential rooster. My first thought for the duck at 3:25 is puddles! Because of her blue patches.
can we get progress videos of the barn renovation and just farm videos in general? it’s so fun seeing how other people handle their barn and chores and it’s very comforting content ❤️
My partner and I have a small farm very similar to yours, and it's so nice to have relatable content to watch through your channel. A lot of homesteading channels are just so picture perfect most of the time that it feels unobtainable, so its just really nice to see the reality of keeping farm animals like feeding forage diets, unblanketed fuzzy horses, barn renovations, and beating frozen troughs with a t-post lmao
Id recommend using a 2 way with shut off valves on your spigot. Make it easy to introduce air back in the hose when you are done watering. helps a ton with clearing the line without disconnecting it.
This is helping me cope with not having animals in my life to the degree I'm used to. Its a lot like what I grew up around, and what I hope to have again one day. Thank you for sharing, I hope my view and engagement helps you continue to create your dream farm setup, even if minimally. Please keep sharing
Born n raised in the Midwest, and I love animals and the *idea* of a farm life. But always seeing how much work goes into care/maintenance, I know I’m not cut out for it lol. Thanks for always sharing your content though! Just as satisfying to watch how everything is done!
Just had traumatizing flashbacks of waking up in the Canadian cold and throwing jackets on horses and bashing frozen-over watering troughs because the heaters to keep the water above freezing ALWAYS fail. The only positive I take away from those winters are the adorable coats all the horses would grow.
your farm videos and naturey videos are my favorite. they are so relaxing and i love your animals and how down to earth you are. you and hunter are the best
This video and the farm part of the channel always amazes me, I grow up in a small town in the middle of brasil, a rural area and spend a lot of time in farms and with animals. I love to see how familiar it is to take care of them but at the same time super different from a location point of view. We never saw snow around here, this video was great because I learned more about the frozen water SITUATION and how to keep animals warm. even knowing that it will never snow here.
I don’t have a farm, and I’m actually kind of scared of horses, but still watch every single one of these vlogs. Can’t wait to see the process with the new barn!
Yep, I’m never getting a goose lol. I’ve got four runner ducks and they’re noisy enough. They were not happy with their kiddie pool being frozen for the past couple weeks, but we’re finally getting some warm weather here.
Really loved this video!! I’m in MA and I can’t believe how cold it is where you are. Super interested to see how you take care of the babies & all the ingenuity and care you give!
thank you for making the best farm girl content on TH-cam. being a farm girl from the midwest myself; it makes my heart happy to see this lifestyle being recognized on TH-cam❤️
I'm not super into art and am extremely uhh.. challenged when it comes to creating it. But I do appreciate both of your art and differing styles and even more seeing how you guys live and I think you two are so unique. It makes sense why people are drawn to you two. Can't wait to see more updates on all the animals!
This was so fun to see your feeding routine! I can`t wait to see the barn remodel! A wash bay and tack room will be soooo nice to have! See you next video Al! :) I love seeing the horse content!
That's pretty cool. I had a leghorn and I called her John Snow. I wasn't able to keep muh chickens when that crazy winter happened in Texas. I had to give the girls up to a real farm so they would survive.
I can't wait to see the updated barn, and also just watching you go about your day to day on the farm. We dont get snow where i live, so it's really a unique experience to me!
Just wanted to say love the videos. Life's been kicking my ass and these have been a source of comfort...even if it is just you and the animals struggling with the cold 😂
I like the cold SO much better than the heat. You're so right about prep and the right clothes. Even just going outside for a small thing where you don't feel like changing out of your pjs, it's so much easier to hurry to get the dang thing done when jack frost is nipping at your ass.
Wow, always heard from others that farm work was difficult, but in the snow, that’s no joke! Excited to see updates on the barn, that’s a tough project but it will be worth it once it’s complete!
4:27 I use a heating plate in my coop because it has west facing windows, works like a charm and keeps the coop at a constant temp of 40-45 degrees Fahrenheit
I bought a radiator heater for my coop before it got cold here in ohio. If the unit gets too hot it will safety shut off, same if it tips over it will shut off. I know because i accidentally knocked it over one day lol but yah thats the safest way to heat a coop i think.
Eskimo is a great name for the beautiful bird friend ❤. I love your farm, very beautiful. This would help with anyone’s anxiety Out kitty is named Eskimo, she’ll be 10 this year,I’ve had her since she was 6 weeks old. The other 2 are Moscow and Griffin. My 3 little kittens who lost their mittens ❤
I blanket my horse under 35F usually, 40 if it's windy... but also he's getting older (and we're in Texas so his winter coat isn't THAT thick) so it's more me being paranoid than anything. Yours look like they're having fun!
Ty so much for the farm content, lovely birds and faem cats as always, I'm a fan of Pork chop already! And the white horsey smiling made my day! I hope they'll settle well in the new farm ❤
0:17 please tell Hunter to kept his voice down. We could barely hear your intro
He needs to learn to control his volume the same way he controls fire smh
😭
he’s so overbearing
Tell him to help out too if he doesnt lol.
I’m pretty sure that’s Sweet Dee
the water situation is insane
My next yt vid title
Compared to all the other "Farm: content on youtube, yours is the most realistic. "The animals are fine, they're not in danger, and I'm keeping an eye out" BOOM done.
The geese are so loud! Definitely descendants from dinosaurs 🦖
I had to turn the volume way down and use subtitles haha I couldn’t handle it. But I must watch!!
The only way to stop the honking is another asteroid.
That’s actually hunter

straight to farming
Thankfully the majority of horse and animal owners dont mess with the goofy extra stuff
Goats DO keep horses calm.
I just got done watching the video about the Arctic monkeys
Arctic monkeys sounds like a great band name somebody should do that
Same
@@Bumblebeerocks23 lmaooo was just about to make that joke
And i just got done watching Hunters video where his editors leg gets torn up by them lmao
say that again?
I'm a woman from far far away, Singapore to be exact, and though I have no desire to own a farm, I love your videos of you just doing farm chores! The sheer amount of knowledge needed to maintain Hunter and the animals must be unimaginable
People will never understand how much I find how adorable and love your little dog character

It fascinates me how seemingly well all the different types of birds get along together :)
me too!
I love this kind of video. Real life. Welcome back to the states! Hope y'all are doing well.
Also, prefer cold over hot!!!! Who wants to sweat and be sticky and hot :3
You’re my comfort TH-camr! Adore you and your farm!
I love her videos, they're so chill. I like to watch her to unwind.
I’m happy we got to see the donkeys in jackets because they looked so adorable omg
You're so cute, all bundled with your red nose sticking out. You treat your animals so well and pay close attention to their health history. You're a kind person and encourage me to be the same. Thanks for the effort you put into your channel content.

The way he just strolled in like he was a busy manager. 😂
3:23 some name ideas: Toast, hash browns, cookie dough, coffee stain, socks (she’s keeping her feet warm), and walnut
coffee stain goes hard omg ❤❤
can we get progress videos of the barn renovation and just farm videos in general? it’s so fun seeing how other people handle their barn and chores and it’s very comforting content ❤️
I love these farm vlogs of yours, it's really interesting to watch you manage everything and your animals are just too adorable ♡
Thank you! :)

Love having this peek into your farm life I always look forward to it
The little sound of shock that came out of me when she casually said "I haven't seen Baby Big Balls..." 😂 Love it.
Id recommend using a 2 way with shut off valves on your spigot. Make it easy to introduce air back in the hose when you are done watering. helps a ton with clearing the line without disconnecting it.
Great tip, thank you!
For the mallard female "cornflower" As a name for the blue streak in her feathers.
I love living vicariously through the farm chores videos
This is helping me cope with not having animals in my life to the degree I'm used to. Its a lot like what I grew up around, and what I hope to have again one day. Me: sees thumbnail
Also Me: “Those are some chill ass donkeys.”
Very chilled donkeys
I like your straighforwardness. its nice
You can put closed containters filled with saltwater in your water troughs and it'll help keep them thawed!
I am obsessed with the animal content
your farm videos and naturey videos are my favorite. they are so relaxing and i love your animals and how down to earth you are. you and hunter are the best
Thank you for showing us this, I have been looking for calming stuff to watch in light of everything going on and this helps a lot!
I've been loving your videos. They're comforting. Seeing all your sweet animals and your processes. Hope ya'll staying much warmer now.
how adorable are your horses! Kelso smiling for food and the other one bringing his food bucket over!😍😍

3:00 JON SNOW IS ALIVE?????
I love learning all this farm-related stuff that’ll I’ll never use. Also your voice is so soothing.
Floating water trough heaters are the best. You might need to add a grounding wire into the trough water to make sure your animals don't get shocked.
Really loved this video!! I’m in MA and I can’t believe how cold it is where you are. Super interested to see how you take care of the babies & all the ingenuity and care you give!
You... can't? Are you in tropical Massachusetts ?
thank you for making the best farm girl content on TH-cam. being a farm girl from the midwest myself; it makes my heart happy to see this lifestyle being recognized on TH-cam❤️
"Damn, that gate needs some grease, it's crazy squeaky in the co- oh that's geese."
your animals are so well taken care of! They’re very lucky to be looked after so kindly
I love this content and the straightforward way you approach it so so much
I'm not super into art and am extremely uhh.. challenged when it comes to creating it. But I do appreciate both of your art and differing styles and even more seeing how you guys live and I think you two are so unique. It makes sense why people are drawn to you two. The female mallard can also be called peppercorn.
That’s a beautiful name
This was so fun to see your feeding routine! I can`t wait to see the barn remodel! A wash bay and tack room will be soooo nice to have! See you next video Al! :) I love seeing the horse content!
god Jelly’s so sweet, every time I see her I get happy
That's pretty cool. I had a leghorn and I called her John Snow. I wasn't able to keep muh chickens when that crazy winter happened in Texas. I had to give the girls up to a real farm so they would survive.
your horses had the zoomies so fast :) that was cool. nice coats for donkeys too
I found your channel because of Hunter but I really enjoy watching. I am starting a farm and I appreciate your animal care advice.
Baby big balls 😢 we misses hims and hims bawls.
I don't have much experience caring for animals other than dogs and goats, so it was cool learning about the daily chores for other animals. 👍
I can't wait to see the updated barn, and also just watching you go about your day to day on the farm. We dont get snow where i live, so it's really a unique experience to me!
A tank float(floating heater) is pretty integral for most bovine and equine critters! Also the heating lights for fowl work great for colde critters.
I definitely agree about cold not being bad at all of you actually dress for it, makes it my favorite kind of weather!
I got so dizzy when you were spinning from station to station! Really awesome to see you take care of you creturas!
Just wanted to say love the videos. Life's been kicking my ass and these have been a source of comfort...even if it is just you and the animals struggling with the cold 😂
Love your channel and vibes and art. Its just a chill vibe here.
I like the cold SO much better than the heat. You're so right about prep and the right clothes. Even just going outside for a small thing where you don't feel like changing out of your pjs, it's so much easier to hurry to get the dang thing done when jack frost is nipping at your ass.
You will love having a floating heater for the equine! World of difference!
Hay> fermentation > heat
Some people put it in the water to keep buckets freezing over 😊
adorable hat fr
Im so glad i found your channel, all your animals are so cute ❤ and i cant wait to see how the barn reno goes
your animals are so precious
Wow, always heard from others that farm work was difficult, but in the snow, that’s no joke! Excited to see updates on the barn, that’s a tough project but it will be worth it once it’s complete!
Stock tank heater with snake wrap does wonders even at -40
love this vid but i’m hungover and the camera staring at the ground and swinging is gonna make me chuck
Giving you the cloverfield movie viewing experience
Weeee👐🙆 hahaha
I always learn so much listening to you talk about animals and the farm.
I just got an ad for raising chickens on this video. You finally made it as a peak farmlife youtuber! LoL, love your content.
4:27 I use a heating plate in my coop because it has west facing windows, works like a charm and keeps the coop at a constant temp of 40-45 degrees Fahrenheit
The thumbnail is super cute
At the most, where I live it’s chilly. Seeing all the snow and the animals is so sweet! Real cool 💫
I bought a radiator heater for my coop before it got cold here in ohio. If the unit gets too hot it will safety shut off, same if it tips over it will shut off. I know because i accidentally knocked it over one day lol but yah thats the safest way to heat a coop i think.
I'm a Canadian, didn't realize you all down south got that cold.. makes sense when I think about it. Also name the Mallard "Squee"
Eskimo is a great name for the beautiful bird friend ❤. I love your farm, very beautiful. This would help with anyone’s anxiety
Out kitty is named Eskimo, she’ll be 10 this year,I’ve had her since she was 6 weeks old. The other 2 are Moscow and Griffin. My 3 little kittens who lost their mittens ❤
such a lovely farm. the animals look so happy & content! thank you for sharing with us.
Awesome little farm you have there, and good job taking care of the animals! Hope they stay warm this winter! Been a cold January!
Haha when Jon snow called ye other bird a “bitch” I giggled madly
So many cuties on a lovely farm😊
Looking forward to more farm videos!
Dude I love these vlogs, thanks for living my dream life.
What a nice intro from the pterodactyl Cage
I love how realistic you are! I have chickens but I hope to expand to ducks soon :)
You're so chill
you have become a comfort
I blanket my horse under 35F usually, 40 if it's windy... but also he's getting older (and we're in Texas so his winter coat isn't THAT thick) so it's more me being paranoid than anything. Yours look like they're having fun!
Being here at 23mjn post feels like going to your favorite restaurant and it’s empty ❤
Ty so much for the farm content, lovely birds and faem cats as always, I'm a fan of Pork chop already! And the white horsey smiling made my day! I hope they'll settle well in the new farm ❤
Mallory, for the female mallard duck. Very original, very unique.
Keep this up! This is different, and i like it. No bullshit and informational and. Just different! Hell yeah!
I Love your channel!! I Love that you do Love your animals so much. Thanks ❤❤
Farm content is dope
Were any of the animals excited to see you when you got back from Japan? I already know hunter probably broke his kennel in excitement
