As a colorado resident my favorite time of year is when the running of pikes peak takes place , maybe one day i will have a car built to take on the summit race- i really want to see a 3rd gen accord flying up the mountain

Flash flood warnings, blizzards, it’s really hard to be an enthusiast here in C Springs. My Focus ST just got totaled by hail. Mother Nature hates low cars with nice paint. The constant freezing and thawing makes the roads warped and bumpy and awful. Still, we try.

didn’t hear the machine gun fire of your mechanical shutter in this one. were you using your electronic shutter because of the low temps or something?

Yeah, he was using the R3 electronic shutter. You can eveeerrrr so slightly hear it going off at certain points.

As a car/racing enthusiast Pikes Peaks is one of the worst events as far as coverage is concerned. It is just so damn boring. I'm sure it is neat to be there but then again, as a spectator, you are stuck on one corner for the entire time the road is closed, waiting ages for a car to appear, only to have it disappear in a blink of an eye. No thanks.
