Jou bemoediging, positiewe opbou, mensekennis en standvastige karakter onder geharde soldate was ongeëwenaard. Dankie vir wat jy vir my beteken het. Daar was min mense soos jy gewees. Rus sag Samejoor en mag jou gedagtenis voortleef in mense se gedagtes. Saluut tot ons weer ontmoet.
I really enjoyed this format. Brothers-in-arms chewing the fat. I think you learn so much more than in a formal interview. Appreciated the clarification on so many points that are old hat to the guys talking that mean nothing to those of us that weren't personally there. Well done again Koos and thanks for airing this obvious legend's story.

Die blinde klavier instemmer kon Oom Coetzee gewees het. Oom Coetzee het in Welkom gebly en het by R. Muller klavier winkel gewerk en het baie gereis om klavier in te stem. Sy een seun was saam met my op laer skool en het nie baie ver van ons gewoon nie. Koos Krokodille was 'n jaar voor my 'n dienspligtige. RIP Koos Krokodille.
RSM Koos Kruger - RIP I'm rather surprised at how ill-informed the first interviewer seems to be about SWAPO and MPLA's external capabilities. With exception of the distinguished combat units - the handful - I think most border units and outside bases were sitting ducks. If the enemy knew how ill prepared many of our infantry units really were, they could've taken a high toll on our forces. Frankly, I often thought it was the presence of the hard-core infantry combat and Koevoet units that were the greater deterrent, and not so much the general SWATF and SADF forces in the operational area. Even so, to all those who served, it was never easy. Salute.
