    Couldn’t sleep last night so thought I would give this recipe a go, I’ve never made bread in my life so at 2am I was making bread……. The best loaf ever!!!! I’m sure I didn’t knock out the air enough and my yeast was almost past it’s sell buy but it came out perfect, thank you for this recipe it’s wonderful 👍😍

    Takes me back to my childhood, my mum always bought a milk loaf from our local bakery in Pateley Bridge, it was round and the loaf pan must have had a ring pattern because the bread was marked with rings the perfect width for cutting perfectly every time.
    Showing my age because that must have been 55 years ago now.

    Hi John, I've tried your new milk bread recipe and it turns out amazing. The bread is so soft and doesn't taste too sweet. Especially good, not only for children, but also for my English boss' mother in law and an old friend who both have no teeth 😁. Very easy to bake, it's now my favorite.

    I tried this recipe with homemade butter and my 1 year old daughter ate a whole slice herself. I didn't get as high of a rise but my oven is having issues. Your videos have definitely helped me with my bread skills, the whole family wants to say thanks.

    I still make this recipe in roll form every week. I sub in whole buttermilk, using 15 to 20g more and skip the butter. I don't consume milk enough and even small cartons spoil before I can get through them. Buttermilk keeps for ages. Adds a sour punch to the bread too. My coworkers complement how good the bread smells when I warm up my lunch.

      You can freeze them before or after Luigi. They still come out delicious. If you do freeze them before you bake them make sure they are fully defrosted before reheating.     Hi John, Your latest perfect loaf for me has got to be the Milk Loaf!. I made it yesterday and enjoyed two slices of wonderful toast with my breakfast. It's going to disappear quite quickly so I'd better keep the ingredients ready to hand. The egg (I only buy large ones) seems to give it an almost brioche texture. Thanks, John!

    I have a really small kitchen with no counter space. But I'll have to make some room so I can make this. There's nothing better than homemade bread right out of the oven with butter slathered all over it. I miss my mom's homemade bread.     I made this loaf with 450 grams of flour of which 70% was white 30% wheat.
    Also used brown sugar in place of white sugar. (Hope you don't mind me messing
    with your recipes) Came out excellent!! Also skim milk was used as I didn't have
    whole milk. Added about 1.5 times the butter to make-up the fat. Delicious loaf!!

I love your food it is simple great tasting , your steak and kidney pie recipe WOW but I have added finely chopped carrot in the mix I can't believe how freshly made foods fill you more compared to store bought foods. your pie for example I eat a 3rd less of the quantity than that of a store bought one. please keep up the great work stay well ,,,, regards Paul

    Another easy to follow video with a recipe that works. This was just what i was looking for, a loaf from my childhood (fifty years plus) which is nice and soft and perfect for a fish finger sandwich. Usually some Whiting or Pollock I've just caught, filleted into goujons, then dipped in egg and panko breadcrumbs before a swift fry..Lots of homegrown lettuce, mayo made from my chix eggs and your bread completes my perfect meal.     just made this loaf but i dropped it after final rise and it collapsed but i went ahead and baked it and it still rose a bit and came above the tin and it was still delicious but i had to do it again, as i speak im doing my first rise and im using 20g fresh yeast smells divine ,i never go wrong with yr recipes my favourite is yr short crust pastry i make it for cake cases and pies, thankyou and tomorrow its leek pudding x
