I started reading The Awakening - and had no idea it was part of such a huge series. I got a bit overwhelmed and stopped, but listening to you explain the different reading orders so thoroughly makes me excited to pick this back up this year. I was also less interested in reading the series when I kept hearing it's a YA series... so THANK YOU for clarifying that. I didn't get YA vibes when I was reading book 1, but thought I must be missing something.

I couldn't stop after book three of Zodiac Academy and had to go onto book four but I'm now on the 1.5 book and I'm listening to the Ruthless Boys series and currently almost done with book three. Read them all except the one. I did read it in the order you suggested but if I read it again, I’d read all the ruthless boys, then all the zodiacs and then darkmore. But they are all such really great books! Worth the read!
