I’m so glad I found this video. I am so emotionally drained and exhausted after book 5 and just couldn’t decide if I wanted to continue. It’s like 2 steps forward and 25 steps back but never ending. There has to be some happiness somewhere. Now that I’ve learned Darius dies I’M DONE! I won’t read anymore. I can’t handle it! How the heck is there not a happy ending after all the heartache. Thanks for releasing me.
There might be I hope he comes back in book 8
The authors have said all main characters will get a happy ending. So the journey is worth the ending lol.

I'm concerned that women and young girls reading books like this think that it's ok to get treated like this by men. Holy crap I can barely continue.🤦🏻♀️
i think it’s important to separate fiction from reality. you go into this series knowing it’s a bully romance set in a fae world where this kind of thing is condoned. doesn’t make it okay in real life
Agreed. Plus, the relationship between a student and teacher, personally, is eww. I wish AT LEAST one of the twins end up with a good guy but no, they both end up with a-holes. Also, why were the parents trying to have the boys kick the girls out when the girls have openly stated they didn't want the throne? Like, imagine if they didn't torture them, Lionel's ascend to the throne would've been easy. I just wish there was a better reason for making the girls' lives hell instead of the cliche "Oh, I didn't actually want to but need to".
Also, did they not think, if the girls DID want the throne, that them bullying them is basically a death wish? Imagine the girls never fell in love with them and became Queens, there's no way they're not facing consequences for what they've done. As a person into the whole King & Queen fantasy politics, it's unbelievable the parents would just have the boys torture the twins without wondering the backlash of those actions would be.
Also, I am just over the "mean girls are just mean girls; oh! but bad boys have feelings too." The boys get a redemption but not a single girl (that was portrayed as catty and mean) did?
On a positive note, I do like their sisterly bond though, it's so sweet! And Xavier is PRECIOUS.

This is a dark romance series for adults. People need to learn to separate fiction from reality etc.

Thank you for doing this! I couldn't continue after the second book because the story couldn't hold my attention. I don't like the bullying dynamic, and didn't realize what I was getting into when I read the first book because I went in blind. But it's nice to know what happens because I desperately wanted to know the story. lol

I read the 1st book w/the boy's POV and I'm so glad I did because I would have given up on it. I did, actually, but read Elise's(who I'm obsessed with as an MC) story instead and it made me re-start the Zodiac Academy. It gave me a major soft spot for Lance.

Thank you for this! I just finished the 6th book and I am not sure I will finish the series. We'll see what the 8th book reception is like. So I came here for all the 7th book spoilers lol. It all just got to be too much negative and bad luck stuff happening for me, I was no longer emotionally invested or attached to the characters at all. I didn't feel like there was as enough of a balance with positive and light for me to enjoy reading it anymore. All the little things that could be positive (Elysian mates, etc) would get twisted to be like "SIKE this is just going to be another reason why bad shit keeps happening to everyone at literally every opportunity". Anyway, thank you for this summary! Very well done, and I'm happy to know these plot points and can move onto other books now! Hopefully the 8th book is top tier and then I will read 7 and 8 to complete the series.
I kind of felt that way too!! I needed more positive stuff to balance out all of the horrible things that kept happening! 🥺
Almost the entirety of the first 90% of HS is positive and light. It’s hopeful, endearing and hilarious. There are a couple of heavy moments of course but SHTF at the 90% mark and before that I was having such a great time haha.

Okay. Firstly, thank you so much for this! I love you because no way was I going to go read them all over again before the 8th book (which releases tomorrow ahhhhhh!) and go through all that again. Also if Darius doesn't freaking get resurrected (I don't even care how. I mean he could get resurrected with poop or fairy dust I would'nt even bat an eye) He just has to live because what the hell. Also I was thinking that he made a deal with the stairs to live for 1 year so technically he should stay freaking alive for 1 year so that could be a loophole to this devastating ending.
Okay but I guess we'll find out in a few hours so yeah.

So the authors posted “hints” to the prophecy the other day and for “The king may fall on the day the hydra bellows in a spiteful palace” the hint was “look up in December”. I feel like this has to relate to Darius coming back bc he was supposed to live until the end of the year. Maybe resurrected as a Hydra since they’re a multi-headed dragon and are supposed to have one head that’s immortal 🙏🏻🤞🏻

i too binged and it all bled together🤷🏼♀️ but i couldn’t read anything else! i definitely forgot what happened in which book lol. i didn’t think i’d ever like the heirs but after As Told By The Boys, they grew on me. and throughout the series, Seth, grew on me the most😬 he’s very annoying in the beginning, but i couldn’t help but LOVE him. especially in book 6 lol. when caleb and tory went on a date? i cringed😂 i did ship them so hard but knew they wouldn’t be together. i hated book 7 so much but i also loved it. i can’t wait to see how they come back. they just have to come back from all of that… and xavier’s wings?! i need to know!😩♊️

Anyways, so agreed on your thoughts about heartless sky, it was my least favorite after the first book, I think it was unnessecerily long and the plot until around 150_ish were irrevelent and no pay off, it just dragged a lot. And the darcy and orion scene?!! So did not need to happen Lol.
I read books 1-6 like a month ago but my memory is so bad , I opened book 7 and I was like uhhhh wtf is going on , my bird memory couldn’t remember the plot for the life of me. This video has saved my life

I'm so upset with this series. I love it, but I am mad at it. I just finished book 8 and I am so freaking pissed at that cliffhanger, and book 9 doesn't even have a release date yet! I thought it was out already, since the authors claim the series is finished, but nooooooo, it's not. What Amazon had labeled as book 9 was not book 9, but infact the boys POV prequel. I feel tricked and heartbroken. I need to know what happens next 😫😭

I might be the only person who was not absolutely wrecked by Darius’s death. I think knowing he was going to die while reading this book made me accept his fate. It only made me feel happier for him while reading about his happy moments with Tory and his friends because that is what he wanted, that’s what he sacrificed his life for. So idk yeah it’s sad but in the end he got to love her for that 11.5 months. The only thing that I truly did not see coming in this entire book was that Tyler was with Xavier first and not Sophia 💀💀 Like what a turn of events

I highly recommend reading book 8.5 before book 9 (and I never read novellas or ".5" books).
Spoilers....Book 9 could have been two books easily...some of it felt very rushed, like the authors just wanted to get it over with. The Clydinius story line just 'stopped', like that could have been the climax of Book 9 and the final battle Book ten. Book ten also could have flushed out the Lionel resolution a bit more...that seemed to complete itself rather quickly as well. The 'time jumps' were also weird to me and added to the feeling of the authors just wanting to end it.
I'm debating DNF at book 5 bc of the denied bond. I want to spoilers so ik if I can keep going or not....
