Reviewing a whole series is a great video idea!
I just binged the 8 books that are out because a friend of mine needed someone to talk to about it. While there are some issues, it is a fun time. My biggest gripe is that there is what I consider a lack of balance between the bad stuff that happens to the girls and the good stuff. I need a little more happy with my angst. And I do agree that books 6 & 7 had a lot of filler and the story is being stretched out. But overall, it has been entertaining. The cliffhanger at the end of the last book is a big one. 🐉

Book 9 came out in April.
How the hell could you not want to pick up the 8th book after finishing the 7th??? THAT DEATH!!! And all the other cliff hangers... I couldn't wait to see what happened next. The spicy filler is incredibly annoying though.
Sorrow and Starlight is 800 pages of filler. The last 20% is where it's at. Also, a lot of tears were shed in ZA 8, lol. The audiobooks are absolutely amazing and that may help you get through it faster. Book 8's audio is out now. Love your review and yessss to Darius 🐉. ❤

As a 48yr old hetero male....(happily married 27 years).... I just found this series and got about halfway through book 2. I am finding it very interesting and deeply complex. I do find that Peckham does not know how to write a male character very well, but that is typical of women authors. I can overlook that. I do love the complexity of most of the characters, and I applaud the raw realism of the Fae world and its own rules and heirarchy. This is not a fluffy little werewolf romance story.... and that is the best compliment I can give it. I am certainly interested in finishing the series if I can find it on audiobook format. I give it a 7/10 so far.
I read some of the books in 2019. There were 3 books out at the time. I tried to like them. Bully romance was becoming so huge. And I thought I could force myself to get into it. I couldn’t. The authors just beat the main characters until it just wasn’t fun anymore. I never continued and am still not sure why I read 3 of them.
Orian creeps me out (haven’t gotten past book 3)🤣
I promise the 8th book dose have some filler but it is also where everything from that filler info ties together

I just started this series because of all the hype and as you said, it's a YA but gosh doesn't the writing annoy you? It reads like a first book for the author (is it? Idk) but the writing alone is just making it so hard to get through ughhh
I totally get you about the writing! I think I saw somewhere that it started as a Wattpad book, and I was like, ohh okay! That's why.😂

I just started to read the first book and I wont read any more than this. I've heard the later books will be better, but after suffering through the extreme bullying portrait in this book, I won't read any more of this series. Even if the books get better, there's nothing that can redeem what those heirs do and why would I read two more bad books, when I can just read two good ones? And saying the bullying makes the girls stronger is bullshit. I was bullied, my girlfriend was bullied. We both are lucky to be alive, because we both thought of ending our lives because of bullying (and other stuff, in my case). In other words this situation can break you and not everyone makes it out alive. Yes, I'm stronger now. After 10 years I'm finally stronger. My girlfriend haf to go to therapy. Thwre is NOTHING romantic about bullying and it's very badly portrait in this book. So making a relationship between bullies and their victims is absolutely disgusting in my opinion
