The Spatter Stitch creates a lacy mesh that looks like interconnected wheels, flowers, or as the name suggests, spattered droplets. In fact, it's a simple shell stitch with added chains to create the delicate lace.

The spatter stitch repeat is (sc, dc, ch2, dc, ch2, dc). To flatten out the last row, these are the stitches that go on top of the repeat: (dc, hdc, sc, sc, sc, hdc).
