  • The Theology of Marxism, Session 6
In this sixth session of Sovereign Nations’s "The Theology of Marxism" conference, Dr. James Lindsay addresses the titular theme of the conference: The Theology of Marxism.
For a century and a half, people have failed to recognize Marxism for what it is, a theology. Marx's emphasis on Atheism and strict materialism in all things have obscured from view what Marxism really is. Well, it is not a social theory. It is not an economic theory. It is a theology that sees economic and related social conditions as that which shapes human lives and, if born again into the faith, compels them to seize those means of human production and repurpose them to achieve the Marxian eschatology. That eschatology goes by a few names, but the most identifiable are "Communism," "Liberation," and "Social Justice."

James is a charlatan. He wrote an entire book on critical theory and didn't once mention Adorno. That's like writing a book on baseball history but the author never heard of Babe Ruth. And James mispronounces the names of the philosophers that every sophomore philosophy major knows. I feel bad for people being misled.

It is a combination of individual motivation and proper parenting/societal feedback that drives any person to make anything of themselves. Marx should have stopped writing or definitely thought about what he was saying more often, because quotes like that fly in the face of basic biology and more fundamentally, it goes against the political ideology he founded.

It's really valuable having a religion explained from an outsider's perspective. There are so many complex things in there (often seemingly contradictory) that only educated scholars understand. Most believers don't even understand why they do a ritual exactly this or that way. They all do it, but in order to understand it you need an expert to explain the origin. Most lefties don't understand why they act as if men can become women and why ultra-big authoritarian government will be "liberation" just like most Christians couldn't tell you why they don't follow Abrahamic law anymore (like not eating pork) even though Jesus explicitly said to uphold the old law in the sermon on the mount. There are reasons for all of those even though like 90% of believers don't know them. Hell, lefties overwhelmingly don't know the wannabe-religious origin of their world view.

    • @SimoneBee-be6jv
      @SimoneBee-be6jv ปีที่แล้ว

Marxism is not a religion. It's a method for analyzing the world, historically to present. It's a rational and materialist conception of history. And no, the common person like you or me does not need someone like James or James himself. You can read Marx for yourself. You only think Marx is complex because James told you so. He began his presentation making much over Marx being difficult to read, just to discourage his audience from reading him and to let him tell you what to think. James does not understand Marx or Hegel or Frankfurt thinkers; he has possibly read some Marx (then again he can fake that) certainly more than Jordan Peterson did to prepare for the Zizek debate, but he does not understand it except in a crass and superficial way. He is more interested in making snide remarks and engendering a feeling of hatred in his sympathetic listeners for something they haven't studied themselves so can't possibly know themselves.

For me, the now interest in Marxism is wonderful. All of this has been stated for at least 120 years now in various ways. But these new looks a particularly enlightening I our secular humanist and present naturalistic philosophies. Nihilism began its first forays into European history during the turns of centuries before the Russian revolution. Now with so, much advancement beyond industrialization into technologies and communications, and the wayward persuit of one world socialistic government, and economic system; we are being warned of what's coming. Great education for our times right now. The discourses through philosophy, science and technology, and political government, is an education seldom achieved in the university forum. And this is what's important, it's public education on top of the subjects by any standard, and beyond into futher productive and meaningful thought. For those who desire to think, or need to, will be rewarded in deeper soulful ways. And this is very, very good. And thank God, we don't have to "pay for it", as is remarked. We are standing on others shoulders in this, so others can stand on ours as we turn to God alone; and I say to Christ alone. Grace and peace. I think we are in a time that people can really perceive it, with the conditions in the world. No longer left to few who warned with a fewer listeners,.at least in America. Europe really needs to get a grip. Let alone the rest of the world.

Marxists coin a phrase "totality" to describe the process by which their telos, meaning and eschatology are experienced. This Totality isn't outside our heads but inside. Not just individually, but collectively. It's like a facet of Hegel's Zeitgeist - the materialist version (hence: "standing Hegel on his head"). The Marxist Totality is experienced as an immanent 'Progress of History' which gives Marxians the sense and certainty of being on the "right side of history", or that they're directing history to progress itself! - by immanentizing the eschaton. The experience of Totality is like a communian with the Marxist God (Their Eucharist). By 'materialist version', Marxians mean it's not just an idea, not just the 'superstructure' in action (ideas in motion). 'Materialist' means that the agency of history and events is a fusion of "the ideas" with "historical forces" and/or "laws of motion of Capitalism". Man isn't the God of Marxism. The God is the Totality, unfolding through the actions of humans and transforming the world as the eschaton unfolds through our actions. The Marxian God is therefore the transformation of man into a more progressive version.
Notice how Marx fetishized science. Calling communism: "scientific socialism". Appealing to the "Laws of motion of Capitalism" is a claim that the Marxian "immanence of the eschaton" is based on Scientific Laws. Marx also levered Hegel's reinterpretation of God, or his 'progress of history'.
'totality' = Franz Jakubowshi: "Ideology and Superstructure in Historical Materialism" - www.marxists.org/archive/jakubowski/1936/Ideology-Superstructure.pdf
immanentize the eschaton = see: Voegelin: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immanentize_the_eschaton
"Laws of motion of Capitalism" = www.marxists.org/archive/weisbord/Laws.htm
All progressives are NOT marxists; but marxism is the most ideologically/philosophically explicit form of progressivism. In practice, many progressive ideas derive from marxism; and progressives don't even know it.

Everyone of the people in this audience needs a contact to ask questions at any point afterwards for further resources and references. The man on the stage can’t be the main point of contact. Too overwhelming. I suggest using the same middle man as the foe. Librarians. People see how destructive the ALA has been to the country. Drag Queens and all. The good ones are extremely crafty as well.
Not having any sort of organized information dissemination is a huge mistake. Business cards with the contact person who can help them navigate what is not rational. Screw social media. Eyes on eyes and an available person to help disseminate the information properly with sources.
The lack of facilitators (teachers, librarians, activists) is the huge hole in America’s strategy. The elites don’t own them all. It is essential to use direct contact non woke facilitators.

He is one of my go-to people dealing with some of the more insane ideas coming out of postmodernism, but he is not perfect either..for me, with a great deal of experience of reading most of the same philosophers/writers he mentions, I can comfortably agree with 85% of what James Linsey I've heard from him. But I have real reservations about some of the people he hangs with at Sovereign Nations who have their own particular agenda..most of which is currently hidden.
Also, as I'm sure he really knows, the talking snake in The Garden of Eden mythology is NOT the one lying..he is the only one in the story who is NOT deceiving, as is Eve when she took a bite of that knowledge fruit and suddenly understood morality (the difference between right and wrong). The Real lying came from Hasham and his Heavenly Host. Perhaps, James hanging around too many Christian pastors and priests . Just a thought.
