  • Muffler delete is fun when you're younger.. at 24 I cannot stand drone. The MPE mod was a must, and I absolutely love the new "growl" and nastier sound (not to mention, now it pops!!!)
    A must do if you are nearing retirement. lol

    Nice to see other Quebec folks doing the same! I did this myself a few years back on my N55 and yes it will work since its essentially the same exhaust. Here are tips if you want to do it:
    1. Put back the fiberglass insulation in the exhaust since it will absolutly remove droning.
    2. Do not cut the small pipe connecting both of the mufflers, you will remove the pressure and exhaust flow equalization which will also potentially ruin your exhaust tone or add vibrations.
    3. Get someone who can nicely weld around all of the pipe to get the best sound possible.
    If done correctly, the exhaust will be noticeably louder than stock, with a deeper and nicer tone whilr providing absolutly NO drone and a very smooth and balanced in cabin sound that only gets loud at high RPM.
    I highly recommend this mod! If done by yourself, it will only run you up to 150$ (Price of pipe and the two clamps to attach the exhaust back) or cheaper if you don't get OE clamps.

    Did you just go to your local exhaust shop an tell them what to do or you have a buddy there. Looking to do the same with my exhaust but wasn’t sure if I should cut it myself
    Sound so good

    • @GarageNineteen
      @GarageNineteen  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      1. I found an exhaust online, took it upon myself to cut it… apparently I didn’t do it well so they couldn’t use it… so was a 50$ waste.
      2. Went to a bmw shop locally, I explained what needed to be done but also he knew what to do.. so this is my suggestion for sure, save yourself the time and just get it done.

  • @Lychwee

    Hey, i am in a similar problem here, I bought my 335i with aftermarket magnaflow and it drones too much, does PE mod not have any drone at all? I like slightly loud exhaust but absolutely hate the fact that it drones at 2k rpm haha. Do you think PE mod is the way to go?

    • @GarageNineteen
      @GarageNineteen  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dude … do it. Let me warn you now, it is MUCH quieter on the interior… like much.. but my ears couldn’t handle it anymore. The MPE mod is literally perfect .. it sounds amazing on the outside and you can still hear on the inside. My older self is glad I matured quickly when I was younger.
      I suggest it man! Good luck

    • @GarageNineteen
      @GarageNineteen  ปีที่แล้ว

      I was in your same shoes! Take the OEM muffler that came with the car and do this.. trust me it’s so much better. The day of the video I was like wtf it’s quiet… because I was so used to ear bleeding sounds … but this is definitely the most mature exhaust. Sounds great, but you can hold a conversation in the cabin.
