Nice vid, car sounds a lot better now. In terms of the smoking I would lower the MHD burble tune especially since you have new turbos, you don’t wanna ruin those, the most I run on mine is medium and only at 1.5s the most in sport, for drive I have it at less than 0.5 and have no smoking issues, I would try that out. Oscarvee bc racing extreme. Low . Front fully maxed and rear with no gap. I can go lower in the front by removing the collars but f that lol. The exhaust scrapes on entries on certain places and on speed bumps .
I find this channel so interesting. When I was debating on what new car to buy myself. I was leaning towards a Genny or a 335i. I ended up getting the Genny. It’s just funny though how these two brothers got both of them. Great minds think alike I suppose.
I don't like it. Stock is better. I bought dci for my 335 it made whooshing sound everytime I accelerated. I put stock airbox back on it runs Way better. Plus Jb4. All that noise makes for angry neighbors
Eh that's debatable, it depends if you like loud modded cars. In my opinion I love it. So I prefer the loud set up. But I understand where ur coming from. But in the neighborhood we are quite and respectful
How long did it take you to get a clean 335? I’ve been looking at a lot of different ones and they all seem to have something wrong with it during the test drive.
Hey man, I'm not going to lie. Finding my 335 wasnt easy. It takes ALOT of patience. And no 335 (at least e9X) are going to be in great shape... I was looking for as few months for my car. I bought it knowing of a few issues such as an easy but expensive coolant repair and plenty of oil repairs (still to this day almost 2 years later...) but I also had to put new turbos in the car because one of the stocks was going bad. But to recap, patience is key when looking for a 335, and your not gonna find a perfect one. I would reccomend buying one that's a fair price and having money off to the side for repairs if need be. Best of luck to you! I hope you get your hands on a clean and good 335!
AC Auto thanks man. is there a secret of finding a good one? did you use autotrader or another site? Even today I was planning on seeing one and 2 hours before they said they couldn’t sell to me because of the repairs they had to make to pass inspection was too much.

My car is a n54. And yes, I'm running a MHD custom (by wedge) stage 2+ tune. On that tune I have a burble option. There is like 3 levels of burble or I can turn it off. In this video I have the burble cranked all the way to max. It can easily be turned down a bit.
I am running a stage 2 plus tune along with a custom by wedge. What I have the tune default, Just have the burble all the way aggressive and the duration all the way up.

Tbh I cant really tell about the torque because of the turbos. They made the car alot faster so I haven't really been able to feel much. And fuel economy wise, I'm not to worried about my MPG'S but from prior exhaust set up to this one, I havent really seen much a difference.
AC Auto ok cool on bmws a bad pcv valve can cause it oil seals for turbos or valve seals usually what causes it. Hope its nothing to serious good luck 👍🏽

Hey, the exhaust clips were shot shortly after the install, I shot the clips with whatever tune set up I was running at the moment. I'm going to make a more detailed video of the exhaust with burbles on and off in another video. Stick around and keep an eye out on the channel for it to drop!

Tubro replacement was about 1.8k in labor. I recommend beamer labs in Ronkonkoma if your in the NY area. They charge alot less I heard and do a very good job
Ah ok perfect, I also have a BMW specialist mechanic, well two actually. One doesn’t like doing mods but the other loves modding. I’ve never looked up prices for turbo replacements but the amount of work it takes to replace them is a lot so even that 1800 doesn’t sound too bad.
AC Auto tbh with the new turbos I wouldn’t run the burble tune just due to the fact it can blow the seals so fast. Have you upgrade your pcv system at all? I’d recommend the rb pcv valve

Yeah, I'm aware of the oil. Not sure where the issue is. The n54 if known to burn oil often. I'm running a catch can, new OFHG, pcv valve, new turbos and all. Still smokes, usually on down shifts or after deceleration.

@@acauto7886 I have the same issue with close to that set-up. Currently my car is in the shop for leak down test. I'm thinking I have a pinhole in my head gasket. I suspect I got it from a missfire #2 cylinder under a pull at 20psi. Have you had a missfire in the past?
My car? Lol I've spent countless money on fixing it... but the past couple months my car has been running great since I've gotten everything repaired and maintenance up to date (keep your fingers crossed hahah)
@@fullsendit-5441 this is what I say to everyone when it comes to 335's n54's and bmws in general. I've dropped over 10k just on repairs on the car. But this was because the prior owner didnt treat it right. When the car runs good I love it to death. I reccomend the car to everyone but I always say have a good amount of money saved up for repairs.

I'm not too sure. I'd assume since I bought the same brand exhaust and down pipes, they are made to fit with one and other. Not sure how fitment would be if you mix and match brands. And ofc, im always up to date with comments!

Can an electric valve be installed to control the sound level of the exhaust?
Yes, an electric valve can be installed to make it lower. Im pretty sure JD cars did an install as well as budget beamers.
Didn't you lose bottom end torque due to lack of back pressure? Is the fuel economy the same?

No problem. My coolant would drop below the full line from time to time. But it never got too low that it worried me

Yes! Catless DP's made huge difference in volume and turbo spool. But the real exhaust 3.5" from vrsf made the exhaust sound "nicer" not just louder

It smacks under the car on warm starts not sure why I am going to try to switch out and use the stock hanger instead of the one supplied

How much was the labor on the turbo replacement?
Tubro replacement was about 1.8k in labor. I recommend beamer labs in Ronkonkoma if your in the NY area. They charge alot less I heard and do a very good job
Ah ok perfect, I also have a BMW specialist mechanic, well two actually. One doesn’t like doing mods but the other loves modding. I’ve never looked up prices for turbo replacements but the amount of work it takes to replace them is a lot so even that 1800 doesn’t sound too bad.
I didnt think 1.8 was bad either. But after I got the work done I noticed a couple better shopes do a better job for cheaper price

AC Auto tbh with the new turbos I wouldn’t run the burble tune just due to the fact it can blow the seals so fast. Have you upgrade your pcv system at all? I’d recommend the rb pcv valve
@@DSWGamingMCSG I agree with you. Just to play it safe. I'm going to run the car without the burble for a while and see If the smoke stops. But yes, I have already installed the RB PCV valve in a prior video. Going to try to turn off burble and maybe that will stop the smoke *hopefully*.

No, I didn't put it back on. The exhaust sat tight without the tray

I'm not sure if it would fit. I didn't even try. The exhaust sat nice ans tight so I didn't even think to try to put the tray back on.

Back pressure on a turbo car is a good way to kill your turbos. That is why you see a lot of guys with a hood exit.
Lol you don't want back pressure on a turbo car, if there's lots of pressure, it will murder your turbo to bits, if it's free flowing, it's the best

No I actually wouldn't. The only thing I would think about doing is adding a resonator. Decrease volume a little bit and add more rasp.

Yeah, I'm aware of the oil. Not sure where the issue is. The n54 if known to burn oil often. I'm running a catch can, new OFHG, pcv valve, new turbos and all. Still smokes, usually on down shifts or after deceleration.
AC Auto it’s your burble tune, wreaks havoc on your oil seals in the turbos, wrecks them etc, turn it off for a week it will probably stop smoking
@@wolfgagger I've heard that the burble causes issues. Never really took it to thought until about a week ago. So I'm going to shoot a video and put it to the test without burble

test. I'm thinking I have a pinhole in my head gasket. I suspect I got it from a missfire #2 cylinder under a pull at 20psi. Have you had a missfire in the past?
@@335bye4 yes I had a rear 3 cyl misfire. But I turned off the burble effect on the tune and the smoking stopped

@@fullsendit-5441 this is what I say to everyone when it comes to 335's n54's and bmws in general. I've dropped over 10k just on repairs on the car. But this was because the prior owner didnt treat it right. When the car runs good I love it to death. I reccomend the car to everyone but I always say have a good amount of money saved up for repairs.

I'm not too sure. I'd assume since I bought the same brand exhaust and down pipes, they are made to fit with one and other. Not sure how fitment would be if you mix and match brands. And ofc, im always up to date with comments!
