I love the recorder. An instrument I think gets a bad rep that it doesn't deserve. If played correctly, the recorder is a beautiful instrument.
Yes! The Recorder was an instrument we played in School Orchestras. Usually, it sounded dreadful & took second place to the Flute. But when played as on these magnificent Recordings, it has a Tonal quality equal to any other Instrument
The problem with the reputation of the recorder is too many schools get cheap inferior grade instruments that don’t play true. I have thrown away several because they wouldn’t come close to the notes I was trying to play. The cheap one I got from Amazon is far superior to the more expensive one I bought locally. The tone is cleaner and the pitch is true.

Well, this certainly blows my rendition of "Three Blind Mice" out of the water. Bravo!

I must admit this compilation is very nice. I cannot stand the recorder, but well-played it can actually make fine music...
