    Yes! The Recorder was an instrument we played in School Orchestras. Usually, it sounded dreadful & took second place to the Flute. But when played as on these magnificent Recordings, it has a Tonal quality equal to any other Instrument

      That's the problem of the music education methods used in most places. They focus on fixed applications of diluted musical concepts - you never learn anything, totally in contrast to all other disciplines. The way to change this is to adopt a pedagogical approach like those used in early conservatories in 15th, 16th and 17th centuries, but not too hard because the focus won't be on forging pro musicians, but well formed amateurs.

    I love the recorder. An instrument I think gets a bad rep that it doesn't deserve. If played correctly, the recorder is a beautiful instrument.

    “The recorder is generally thought of as a training instrument for children. But listen to it. In the hands of an expert like Joram Leifgrum, the passion is…..Breathtaking.”

      @Vitali_Osandor 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      And it also depends on what kind of instrument you play... The instruments used as "training for children" are vastly different to the ones used in this recording, for instance.

    • @kenhimurabr
      @kenhimurabr 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Vitali_Osandor Not so different at all. Kids used to play in cheap factory resin recorders, professionals play in expensiver resin and wood ones. But the basics are the same - and this applies to other instruments like violin, guitar, flute, clarinet, saxophones etc.

    • @Vitali_Osandor
      @Vitali_Osandor 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@kenhimurabr They ARE very different. I play recorder. There are differences in sound, volume of the instrument and technical capacities. Also, kids in school use instruments made for the german fingering, while the more accomplished players use instruments made for the english (baroque) fingering. Sure, there are similarities, but the similarities are much smaller than those between beginner and advanced violins, flutes, guitars, etc.

    Lindo trabalho, agradecido. A flauta já era tocada pelos índios do Brasil antes da chegada dos portugueses e era comum desde a Europa até o Japão. Um instrumento singelo, em sua construção, mas lindo, se usado corretamente. Saudações do Brasil 🇧🇷.

    _Re-enter Players with recorders_
    HAMLET. O, the recorders! let me see one. Will you play upon
    this pipe?
    GUILDENSTERN. My lord, I cannot.
    HAMLET. I pray you.
    GUILDENSTERN. Believe me, I cannot.
    HAMLET. I do beseech you.
    GUILDENSTERN. I know no touch of it, my lord.
    HAMLET. ‘Tis as easy as lying: govern these ventages with
    your fingers and thumb, give it breath with your
    mouth, and it will discourse most eloquent music. Look you, these are the stops.
    GUILDENSTERN. But these cannot I command to any utterance of
    harmony; I have not the skill.
    HAMLET. 'Sblood, do you think I am easier to be played on than a pipe? Call me what instrument you will, though you can fret me, yet you cannot play upon me.

    The problem with the reputation of the recorder is too many schools get cheap inferior grade instruments that don’t play true. I have thrown away several because they wouldn’t come close to the notes I was trying to play. The cheap one I got from Amazon is far superior to the more expensive one I bought locally. The tone is cleaner and the pitch is true.

      I'm French, and I agree ! In my country we forced music teachers to teach how to play recorder because they believed recorder is "easy"... and teachers didn't know how to play "flûte à bec" how we say at my place. In France, for me, it explains why people tend to think they lnow this instrument... when they don't. Sad !

    В молодости, слушая классическую музыку, я воспринимала её, как тёплый летний дождь или ливень с грозой за окном ... впереди жизнь и отсутствие жизненного опыта ... а сейчас, данная музыка погружает меня в мою совесть и в воспоминания о людях, как живых, так и ушедших ... это очень болезненно в душе.
    Возможно, это хорошо, а может и нет.

      Просто пришло понимание, что в те времена жили такие же люди, и музыка у них была о том же, что и сейчас (радость, грусть, любовь, тоска, страх), но другим языком.
