I was watching Netflix 13 reasons why and this song came out and I jumped out of the sofa m8.. Haven't heard that song for 20 years.. Waaaaaw.. Loads of lovely songs in those series. Love your version John.. Well done
Fascination Street is my favorite song! The bassline is soooo intense. Love to hear cover versions of that song. I never heard it played on an acoustic guitar but it sounds very interesting. Well done! :)
@@Supermatsch thank you! Yeah what a cool bass line! A lot of Cure songs have great bass lines which tie all those floating musical elements together. What a cool band.
That was dope bro.........Sunday 10am here in MX. I was looking for a tutorial and I found your video......... it's not a tutorial but is dope. Cheers from MX.......🍻💈🍻💈
Hey thanks for the great comment! While it's not a tutorial, I did put the chords and basic info for how I went about this arrangement in the description under the video, in case you didn't catch it.. 🙂
Thanks DJ Ghost! I appreciate that! :-) I don't know if you noticed this in one of my responses below so I'm copying it again below for you. Here are the basic chords and bass line that I used for this version. "Fascination Street" General Chord Progression: ||: Am / / / | Am / / / | Fsus2 / / / | Em / / / :|| Am X02210 Fsus2 X3301X Em 022000 Bass Line (approximation): ||: a / / c | a / / b | f / / d | e / / g :|| Wherever possible I try to incorporate bits of the bass line into the chord progression to make it feel more like the song. I also use a 5th fret-based Am6 (X05578) to simulate instrumental bridge melody. Hope this helps!
Dude you sure fucking nailed it! That was actually SO good. Am I really gonna have to piece it together one frame at a time now??!!!! I want to play that just like you do
