Portland State University (PSU) is a public research university in Portland, Oregon. It was founded in 1946 as a post-secondary educational institution for World War II veterans. It evolved into a four-year college over the following two decades and was granted university status in 1969. It is the only public university in the state of Oregon that is located in a large city. It is governed by a board of trustees. PSU is classified among "R2: Doctoral Universities - High research activity".

Thank you Donnie! This was a weird campus to be honest. It's surrounded with those tall downtown buildings and covered with trees. It was almost impossible to get any good shot for the campus with the drone.

@@CampusMania it's where i went to uni so i know it well. i think what makes it weird is it's lack of student housing and on campus student life, not like a traditional university like UofO. if more younger students could afford to live on campus then maybe it would be 'cooler'

It all looks great! Flawless video and beautiful canpus. Seems like a good school. The only one within two hours that has a degree in my field. I just don't know how safe the campus actually is. I heard they won't hire solid security or disband the homeless camps/people squatting on campus. I couldn't fathom walking around there alone, especially after dark.
Yes, you have to deal with the fact that the campus is in a downtown like area! Which means there will be a homeless situation most of the time.
And, it's an urban school with a large non-traditional student population. So, it definitely doesn't give you the typical college experience
Been going there for a year and a half now, the homeless is not as bad as you may think. I travel across most of the campus since my building (engineering building), is a couple blocks east of the main campus. I do run in to homeless but they aren't too obstructive, for a lack of better words.

That's great, I applied MA in Curriculum and Instruction for fall 2023, I'm from Nigeria and I think I will have accommodation issue if I was given admission

@@CampusMania Yep. I feel like they prioritize money (a lot for a state school) over everything else & many of the professors are mediocre at best. 96% acceptance rate says it all, really.
I learned A LOT more at PCC.

It's a great school for folks who want to concentrate on their education don't care about sports entertainment. Not everyone wants to go to OSU or uo.
Wanted to go to this school but after traveling to Portland for a trip recently, I found out it wasn’t for me. City is exchausting and homelessness is absolutely crazy, trash everywhere, and at night it’s super sketchy. This video doesn’t show any of that. PSU is right in the middle of a falling citg
Oh man! I'm sorry for the bad experience you had there. I honestly don't know much about the city. I was there just for one night! And to be honest, this is not one of my favorite campuses. It's a very weird one!
