We may have overdone it.. over 2 days, we explore some of the cheap eats that are to be found in downtown Vancouver. While not a cheap area, by any means, we think we found some cool joints that you should definitely try out!

Ah, Peaked pies is quite the guilty place to go - the prices are the same as the pie's that you'd find in Australia, but damn they're good. I'll mention that the 'traditional' way that I grew up with was to take the lid off of the pie, fill it up with tomato sauce (ketchup) and put the lid back on and burn your mouth out :D

Nice variety of very reasonably priced yummy food. I'll be making notes for when I visit my brother (I'm in Toronto). I can't believe that burger is only $7.95! For a homemade burger I'd expect to pay at over $10. especially with bacon & I'd still think that was a good deal.
This is the second Vancouver video that's recommended Gringo as a hidden gem. Oh no... they'll put up their prices soon, lol.

great video. sad i am watching this 3 years too late cause in 2024 inflation is stupid high and all the prices have gone up with everything and two of those places aren't considered affordable anymore :( glad i got to do at least 2 of the ones on the video pre 2024
