BYD has an LFP (aka LiFePO4 - lithium IRON) battery which can be regularly charged from 0 - 100% with minimal degradation compared to ternary lithium (such as NCM) batteries that prefer the 20 - 80% range or suffer degradation. All these batteries rely on lithium-ion transfer so being confused is common ground.
If I ever want to build my dream of being in a Gym with a rotating screen and money is no object, I now know which car to buy.
Infotainment center looks smaller then the tesla screen
It's also much dimmer
why I can't buy this in us:(
Political reasons like many Chinese products/platform that the US have issues with. Don't think you will ever get this in the US.
Yes, buy BYD make "CHINA GREAT AGAIN"
This is a good review. Objective. Thanks.
10:35 did you mention "long journeys"? :D LOL The longest journey you can take is 200 miles max 3 hours of driving then you have to recharge and do 45 minutes exercise
BYD stands for Bi Ya Di. ‘Build your dreams’ is their slogan, not actual name.
Glad someone point this out. Every bloody reviewers keep saying the company name stands for Build Your Dream. "Bi Ya Di" is the Chinese name for the company which translates to BYD as a brand. The slogan "Build Your Dream" is build around the brand name. Wish these reviewers get the facts right. I like the BYD cars but I definite agree the slogan at the ack of the car does feel a bit cheesy. I would prefer it says BYD at the back and maybe have the slogan small some where lol.
37k GBP???
This is a joke!
In other countries the max price is 26500 USD !
Protectionism and consumer rights!
Nope . Uk tariffs
But it has black headlining. Why do manufacturers think its chic? No rain sensing wipers in this day and age. The ride is really the final deal breaker. Pass
What is the camera you shoot this video?
中国製の電気自動車は安くて良いので日本でもすごく売れると思います
Chinese made EVs are nice and cheap indeed, the only question might be whether Japanese consumers would like to give it a try.
I have a honda hybird accord of 2016 edition, now i will change a chinese car,i am chinese by the way @@cheungchingtong
Im still hesitent on the longevity of ev's - until it can replace my 15 year civic at similar running costs, reliability and ease of diy maintence ill be the last one holding onto my ICE car.
I cannot find any comprehensive information on battery degredation from daily use after 5,10,15 years in all weather conditions .evs are not carbon neutral in ther manufacturing
ICE cars are not carbon neutral in their manufacturing.
@@connclissmann6514 absolutely, the point was - no difference
@jaybee_impossible - I can definitely change my civic for something new , but unlike some, I buy my cars, not lease - and I wouldn't want a 15 year old ev that cannot hold its charge,In the middle of winter, unable to take me to the shops and back 😂 .
if these have a shorter shelf live than ICEs then is it really better in the long term ? Would love to see some data
在中国有超过60万公里的byd电车 电池容量剩余80%以上 没错就是出租车 据受访的车主说几乎没有发现过故障 型号是byd e6
Yearly maintenance would be cheaper because EV doesn't need to change gear oil, engine oil, radiator, coolant, spark plugs, oil and air filter.
Will stay with my niro e.v level 4 😊
Any review of the BYD Seal in the pipeline yet?
Chery tiĝgo 8 phev is still the.most versatile vehicle
That car is only £18.5k in China, sell it cheap there and let Europeans pay for Chinese subsidies.
There is no EV subsidies in China from 2022 anymore. I think the reason of the high price is that China car makers fear anti-dumping investigation. Actually, EU launched it several weeks ago.
Does Android Auto work the same as Apple?
Yes
BYD stands for bring your designated mechanic
No regenerative braking?
It has 3 levels of Regen 👍
Was up to date the designs and various others
People who have anxiety will love those strings to pull and play with.
Why don't we get the BYD in south africa 😢
Atto 3 had been in natal for 8 months
I will buy an ev if they have 1000 km range with zero battery degradation
Physical buttons/knobs/sliders is costly
come on quality .. go look at almost twice the price German car quality almost the same .. you don't expect lexuary interior like 60k car ?
the infotainment system is such a big part of cars if that’s a faff it spoils the car and that looks a faff
this car is amazing!
wow tell me ur anti Chinese without telling me. our BYD is great
Not bad its a good vehicle, much batter then expensive tesla etc
No head room cause its a compact SUV
it looks like a car that is made by chatGPT/dalle-3. It's totally a car.
Not really good on the road?? Really.... I disagree with you on that bold statement
Hi there 50 cent, you sure are making Winnie Xi🐹proud.

Morning mate
Seen the price and so the rest of the excellent video is pointless.
This cars most obvious rival is the MG ZS EV but for some reason What Car ? likes to pretend the MG ZS EV doesn't exist.
The interior turns me off so much, im so glad Seal doesn't have this funky interior
Geely Geometry C just surpassed Atto 3 in both range and charging speed. Rest of the features are pretty much same.
Why are all the shots of the infotainment screen out of focus?
You forgot to mention they spontaneously combust.
Source ??? Proof ???
They have 5 stars on ncap
@@jacksmith-mu3ee NCAP don't test that. I'm guessing you never watch news either. You sure are making Winnie Xi🐹proud.

Just looking at the title of this video, what car knows nothing about BYD or Chinese EV market.
6:37 bro usually 6 foot dudes are not riding my car
My neighbour bought one, in his words worst purchase ever had nothing but trouble was very badly made.
You get what you pay fir?
I wont take it even if it was free, like all new ev's to expensive and some don't even have buttons,we are not all 20 year olds !!!
Why are the EV so combustible. They catch fire like crazy.
I have seen these cars burn on You Tube.
I'd be getting rid of that writing over the bootlid.
Looks another bland SUV.
Could be another Kia, Honda or Hyundai.
What's after sales and parts going to be like for this ?
Beginning to think that these touch screens are just another large phone and a distraction for the driver.
Considering BYD build everything for their cars except for the glass and tires, I'd imagine part supply and their prices will be better than most. Plus, you don't need to use the touch screen - everything from the climate control to even opening windows can be controlled using the voice control system.
This car sells in China for $15000 in uk £40k wtf
no way is anyone gonna spend £37 grand on this thing when you can buy most other ev for the same or less hhhaaaaa
They do
Just put a dial for the climate control, what is wrong with these companies.
Another cheap EV then - £37k for a 215 mile range car - no thanks.
LOL. The Atto 3 is more than two years old!
The best EV in China is not build by BYD. BYD is a mid level giant like Toyota. The most Premium EV player in China is Nio they probably build the best Chinese EV.
the gym reference is far fetched
