    I've watched a lot of your older videos and didn't realize you had new ones. Your videos are awesome, the machines are wicked, I just love this stuff and could watch these all day!

    That's the way it's done. Nobody mad or killed and nothing torn up. Drivers like not being turned over being loaded. And a Euc jumping straight up when you kick it in gear is a regular thing. Thanks and GBWYall!

    I can't believe those old Euclids are still working after all these years.

      Those trucks aren't that old, they are early 90s. You usually need 4 to keep two running though lol

    If there were a documentary about the fella that runs this channel it would be really cool, I've been watching for years and know nothing about him. (By design I'm sure) I would love to know if he travels, is this work related? Either way I'm grateful for the great content.

    Awesome footage of blasted rock or granite. No music to listen to only the sound of material being handled and loaded by the excavator. Was this crushed and made into gravel or aggregate or road base material?? Keep up the good work

    Thanks for another video. The skinny tracks are so funny looking. I am guessing for a smaller footprint in loose material.

    • @K-Effect
      @K-Effect 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm guessing those tracks are close to 5 feet wide, but yes on that big excavator they do look small

    • @PAmining
      @PAmining  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The shoes on this machine are 32" wide. Optional is 48" for the PC2000. Big machines like this don't require wide shoes because they are meant to be working on solid ground surfaces, or like here, in shot rock where wider shoes would be prone to bending. Thanks!

    • @animenut69
      @animenut69 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      try searching for hammer excavators on rock jobs and you'll see what happens to normal tracks in similar conditions, track pads end up broken /bent

    • @PAmining

      The flat box R85s were built when Euclid was under the ownership of White Motor Corporation. The V slope box R85s were built when Euclid became part of VME Group

    Terrible operator. Over cycling the machine. 180 deg swings. Bench is way too high, makes the trucks too far away. Bringing the trucks in next to the machine instead of next to the pile makes for longer cycles. Loading from the end instead of the side makes the truck's have to waste a lot of time backing in. Looks like he could be a good OP if he could be taught how to load trucks correctly but he probably can't be taught.

    • @PAmining
      @PAmining  3 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Yeah yeah yeah yeah. Your not teaching an ex superintendent with 40 years on equipment how to dig pal lol. Old timers like this dig how they want and that's it.

    • @cameronturner7475
      @cameronturner7475 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh yeah, exactly my point. I've been running equipment since 1978 and have seen a lot of guys with decades of experience still doing a bad job, got some on the job right now. And nope , you can't teach them a damn thing, they won't listen, especially if they are a supervisor.

    • @williamhall9204
      @williamhall9204 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I completely disagree with your assessment of this operator.My opinion of his operating method is the following.Very good fill factor of buckets.Steady movement speed on each cycle.Extremely easy on the excavator and the haul trucks.This operator does not abuse the equipment.Because he runs the track hoe at a medium speed there is a built in safety factor.I do not see a problem with loading over the rear.Operator has excellent visibility to the dump body and he can easily see how the load is balanced.Operator is not the best I’ve ever seen, but he is certainly NOT terrible.If I were a mine owner,this is the kind of excavator operator I would hire.Like PAmining has stated many times,these mining operations and the goals they aim to achieve are very varied.What works well for one company might not be adequate for another.I believe in basic operating principles but there has to be some flexibility. I’ll give an example of something that irks me concerning shovel and truck loading.When I see a shovel or excavator needing ten or more bucket loads to fully load the truck.Obviously that is a mismatch of equipment and not cost effective.

    • @williamhall9204
      @williamhall9204 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@PAmining Totally Agree with you. Exactly the kind of operator I’d hire if I ran a mine.With this guy at the controls,that PC2000-8 would be in great mechanical and cosmetic condition even after racking up huge operating hours. He runs that Komatsu like he owns it.I like the way he is so consistent,steady, and in total control of the big Komatsu.Seems to me the kind of operator that achieves a very good output,consistently and reliably on a daily basis.
