Love these travel videos. I like the way you show how the typical locals live. Most Travel TV shows only show the expensive hotels and expensive locations. When you watch your videos it makes you feel like you're really visiting.
It made me smile, seeing you feed the birds, so humble!!
The cockatoos are amazing! So tame. That would be a dream come true for me! I love all tropical birds! I've owned many in my life. Cockatoos are some of the smartest and LOUDEST! Thanks for sharing these special guys with us! Deb
Those birds.....SO cute! I've never been to the great barrier reef but it definitely looks like paradise. I love Australia, and would love to spend a whole month traveling Australia.
This is the way it should be for all birds. They are meant to be free.. Not put in a cage. Love it!!

Beautiful views. Love the crystal clear turquoise waters. Thank you for sharing. ☺ Just a little info about the birds. Cockatoos are known for being one of the most gentle of the parrot family. These particular ones you were feeding are the Greater Sulphur Crested and there is a Lesser Sulphur Crested. Due to the yellow crest of feathers. These are the largest of the Sulphur group. Some can have a biting pressure of several hundred pounds.You were very fortunate- a lot people must feed them. ☺

Aww I love cockatoos. In my old house when i first moved. This cockatoo came and a fed it and he was so smart that he used to come ever day. His wing had a bit of black so i knew it was the same one

I was wondering if you would venture up here to my home town :). Ocean Rafting Adventures to Whitehaven is my favourite day trip. Interesting to see the place through another persons perspective. Thank for you for showing some of our best features. Those cockatoos are that friendly because they are very used to humans feeding and interacting with them. They can be very destructive to property but I'm glad you got to see their friendly side. Enjoy the rest of your holiday.
I learn something new. I didn't know the Cockatoos (the ones with the yellow crest) were native to Australia. That's super cool! I google it after seeing your video. I always think birds like that come from Brazil or the amazon. Thank you for taking us along for the ride.

I got married at airlie & exactly at the spot where Christine was talking about laying out & leaving michael to man the stall at the swap meat, literally between those trees, bought back so many very very very beautiful & fond memories & now i just want to go back! thanks so much for taking us on your journey, its so interesting & beautiful to see our land through someone elses eyes :) hope you both enjoy the rest of your trip
